But I can't do so because it'll be taught in college. I have no other choice ):

And thank you so much (:

A thing to note: C++ is wayyyyy faster than Python. In fact, if you treat C++ like C and don't use all the bells and whistles that come with C++, C++ is as fast as C. C is something like 100 times as fast as Python.

What's the best laptop for playing tanki and doing regular network tasks under the range of 200 - 500 $?

Told you, at 50k you can get a Acer Nitro 5, which has very nice stuff.

If all you need is to do web stuff then just get a Chromebook, if you want a windows laptop get a $350 i3 ACER. What FPSrange are you looking for in Tanki?

Around 45-55 FPS with Mip-Mapping, Skybox ON (Don't laugh, My PC had only these options :D)

My PC never had the option "Automatic Graphics Quality", so some good graphics that would suit will be good.

For a Windows laptop this should run Tanki at max (if you want faster startup speed buy an SSD to go with it): https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-i3-8130U-Memory-E5-576-392H/dp/B079TGL2BZ/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1533393737&sr=1-4&keywords=laptop&dpID=41HfDkXXyeL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1

For Chromebooks:

(I am to lazy to look)

chromebooks are stupid, overpriced and glorified toasters

That is only true for the higher end Chromebooks.. Chromebooks are better than Windows laptops on the lower end because the Windows10 operating system is very demanding.

Linux is lighter than Windows

So much so that I managed to bring a pentium4 with 2gb of ram back to life :))

I managed to get the PC running Trraria, Unturned, Robocraft, M&B War Band, and some space games all at playable frame rates (over 24fps).

One of the most important things that I did to get things working was to add a GPU. The GPU I used was a mid-range piece of (words banned from the forum) from 2009. Lucky or sadly for me my limiting factor was ram. The reason why using the Linux OS helped so much was mostly because of the fact that it uses less ram than windows.

Its a few years old but runs all games at 60fps High - Ultra and meets most of my 3d modelling wants so I'm happy with it. The only things I would want to upgrade are the monitor, mouse and keyboard.

Current cost is significantly less than what it was. I reckon you could build an identical system for £400 - £500 with a few improvement tweaks.

Case: BitFenix - Nova ATX Mid Tower Case

CPU: AMD - FX-8320E 3.2GHz 8-Core Processor

Ram: 8GB Crucial - 2 x 4GB  DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO 250GB SSD

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce 3x

Monitor: HannsG HT231HPB 23" Full HD Touchscreen

Keyboard: Generic

Mouse: Generic

Internet: Motherboard default. Speedtest result

OS: Win 10 Pro

Tanki FPS: 60fps

Cost: Approx £700 a few years ago.

Picture: None
