Parkour Veteran Paint

Parkour Veteran

Hello! I've a good idea to add in parkour.

For eSport there is a paint called "Veteran". This paint is for eSport legend.

The criteria to receive Veteran:

1. At least 4 year of active participation in eSports Tournaments

2. Placed at least 3 times on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place of important tournaments.

3. Currently active in the game.

4. While you have the paint you are not allowed to get banned for more than a day. In karma there should not be a 6 months ban or a forever ban (received after 01-01-14) or a week block for sabotage.

But why not for parkour? I mean, parkour tournaments are even big as eSport tournaments. There should be a different paint added for parkour veterans.

Here I've a criteria list to receive parkour Veteran:

1. At least 3/4 years of active participation in parkour

2. Win at least 3 big parkour tournaments. (MOP, PS.....)

3. Currently active in the game

4. Clean karma needed like Esport Veteran

I think they should add this.

NOTICE: With veteran I mean not the eSport paint veteran. Just a new special "achievement" paint.

Not bad but I think the amount of parkour tournaments won should be increased to make it fair or equal to eSport.

The idea is great, but I think the paint "Veteran" is meant as a figurative example. Veteran is an eSports paint, but to suppose this, it'll be a cool idea to make a new special "achievement" paint :)

Great idea. Some people have been active in the Parkour community for years but are never recognized for it despite winning many contests, I myself have won 2 (MoP 2016 & Lift Off 2017) and was in an official club once but not many even know it. Sometimes you gotta have bragging rights to make nubs shut up, ya know.

Winning an eSports tournament is much harder than winning MoP or Parkour survival. Maybe giving a title "Parkour Veteran" but no paint.

Also, Master or Parkour winners can keep the paint forever..

Parkour and eSports are two different things, they aren't much comparable. For people who are good at Parkour, they will obviously find it easy to win related contests, but for those who aren't, they will find it hard. It's the same with eSports, top clans with good and experienced players are most likely to win, whether it be in first, second or third place. F&F is undoubtedly the best Parkour club in the EN community but they don't win first place every single time either.

Yeah, maybe 4/5 tournaments won is better...

Doesn't have to be veteran paint, a new special "achievement" paint is better yeah.

Exactly, eSports and Parkour are different, no matter how good you are at eSports formats you always have to train to get better otherwise you'll stay behind, unlike parkour. Instesd of a new paint you can give something else such as weekly drug supply and a title.

The idea is symbolic when it comes to eSports, that is a totally other section :) For the parkour it'll needed so see veteran on another way than the eSports veteran.

So the rules must be totally different, and set up with new goals, rules and different achievements.

What makes you think you don't have to keep parkouring to stay on top? You can't be/stay on top unless you do it often. Clubs improve over time. Some unofficial clubs in the EN community right now are how F&F used to be 2 years ago, if not better, and honestly, those clubs are really good, maybe just not as yet as good as official and supported clubs at the moment. If you stop parkouring, improving and adapting with the updates that come ahead, you will be left behind.

U maybe dont train parkour the same way u train esport. We train by making videos and coming up with new ideas. If u would take a 1 week break from parkour it takes over a week to get the touch back of all the timings and trick ideas. Its just more indirect.

I didn't mean you don't have to train, of course you have to train to get better but giving a paint for old parkourist isn't the right thing to do.

The idea isn't to give old parkourists a free paint. The idea is to give old, active, skilled and dedicated parkourists a paint to feel proud about that they obviously do deserve if they have to win multiple contests to come into the possession of such a paint as just one of many other requirements. This is exactly what eSport does if you compare it to the rules to receive the Veteran paint.

I understand that but you can keep Master of Parkour forever, unlike eSports, All of the eSports paints are for limited time. Anyways as I said before winning eSports tournament is much harder than winning Parkour tournament. I can tell because I won MoP (15 & 17) and some eSports tournaments.

eSports and Parkour aren't with or against each other and a player can receive rewards from either community. They are two different arts and each have their own requirements and hardships for players to receive their specially dedicated paints. Hence I don't see why it matters whether the requirements for both paints are the same or balanced but others clearly do, so fair enough, and the requirements are already being thought out and discussed here between players and more experienced people (most of the time) - helpers.

lets say u should have 5 paints to get a veteran paint is parkour, that would mean 2-3 years of winning every parkour contest. Dont think thats enough?

Some contests do not provide a paint to the winners but instead a crystal prize pool. Maybe players should log what contests they have won instead and apply to receive the paint via a special form or forum PM to who will be in charge of the distribution of the paint. After a check by the distributor, the player will either be accepted or declined to receive it.

That means they will have 5-6 special paints , isn't it enough?

eSports and Parkour aren't related so trying to take things from eSports to Parkour is just unnecessary.

For some, maybe, for others, nah. What's the harm in receiving more? Moreover, it's not just about quantity, but quality. MoP is a contest that takes part yearly and has been going on for years and I have to admit, the paint isn't very rare or meaningful since quite a lot of people receive it but the contest won't just be forgotten and left. That shouldn't be a reason why the Parkour community isn't allowed to actually have their own meaningful paint.

This game has way more "special paints" than it really needs. Stop trying to make them create another one...

The Parkour community having their own paint isn't something we're trying to "take" from the eSports community and is not something we're comparing to it. What is being compared is the requirements to receive it since some players from the eSports community as yourself do not want the paint to be so easily accessible whilst yours isn't. So do the players of the Parkour community as we don't want another paint that just anyone can receive.

This game has way more "special paints" than it really needs. Stop trying to make them create another one...

Anything wrong with diversity? I suppose not if so many people are in favor of this idea.

Yes, that's true, I don't like "free paints".. but I thought about it again and this idea can be nice only if very specific players will receive the paint. If this idea gets accepted please make sure of that.

They can't decide. Swift, Destiny, bugaty.guys, danitanik would be given, all the rest would be heavily debated.

Yes, of course, that's the idea behind it. A paint which only true parkourists can receive, not those lucky enough to get into official clubs through luck and average abilities. A paint not all in official clubs may even be eligible to own at this point in time.

I would like to say there are certain players who I know who are really good parkourists but they haven't received any paint yet as they are new . Also on the other hand ,I also know fair amount of players who are pretty good too but not part of any club or participating in any Parkour related events as they like to do Tandem tricks or 3 man parkour. So just giving paint to someone who has played for long time is ridiculous in my opinion.
