Why are updates spawning controversy?

yes, everyone has their own opinion. no matter what tanki does people are not happy. why? Let’s take the short gold update. The gold is a bonus. meaning people don’t need to go into the mob for gold. they could capture a point or capture a flag. in polygon cp, the red team decides they don’t care about the gold and want to hold the point. blue decides to go. then blue complains that gold is too long and it distracted them. some may like long golds so they can acheive more. they can turn the tide with one cap of the flag or a point. if you decide fighting 10 people for 1k is a good idea, and you or your team loses that’s on you. players in tanki are doing silly things then complaining. Tanki decides to “fix” it, and makes all the other people unhappy. what do you think and maybe an example? discuss my children

There are some people *cough re-old-railgun cough* who just hate the devs, and complain about everything. I mean... when people complain about sales and countries getting servers, thats just weird. But the majority likes, or at least endures, the updates.

Simple. Many people have the philosophy "If it's not broken, don't fix it". The updates of 2013/2014 rocked because they were truly fixing something that was lacking or missing in the game. Now, the updates are simply changing those updates which were not that bad.

The Developers have the philosophy that if nothing is new, then people will get bored. So they go ahead and change things. But people don't like this.

There are plenty of "professional" gold hunters who stop whatever they are doing and self-destruct whenever they hear the siren. Those players are good at catching golds even when there's 10 other players fighting for it, and with the 10-second delay instead of 30, their dictators often don't have time to get to the gold box location.

Of course those guys won't like the update.

The Developers have the philosophy that if nothing is new, then people will get bored. (Then leave)

Which is true. 2014 - 2015 lost a huge amount of players (a good 20 - 30k) and you can't say it was from bad updates because there simply weren't any. Which is why they left, they got bored.
