So I use a Mac OS to play Tanki Online and the problem is if my tank goes upside down, I have to wait for someone to kill me because I don't have the delete button. I tried to check the settings if I could change the controls for self destruct but didn't find anything. So I thought, how about if your tank is upside down for 10 to 20 seconds, it should self destruct by itself, or ask if you want a self destruct and click the letter S to self destruct. Something like that, but I would really like it for someone to do something about this!

From what I remember, the "delete" button on Mac is cmd+backspace, so you should try that. Also, would be nice if developers added custom controls for self-destructing, since at the moment it's one if the only keys which you can't reassign. But the idea itself is useful for newbies.

I play on Windows on a Mac and cannot self-destruct. 

 

However I think it would be better to not have this, instead make the self-destruct keybind customizable. I hate "automatic action" mechanics because they are inflexible and can have false alarms. Better to leave the player with more control.

By default, flipped and overturned tanks now begin self-destructing automatically (in the HTML5 version of the game), as per the latest Patch Update #606. This new feature can be enabled or disabled in the game's main Settings:
