Reset all modules

Then the high-damage turrets like Rail, Shaft and Magnum would have to be tweaked (ie nerfed)

 

Because getting one-shotted by those weapons regularly would kinda... suk.

I agree, but it would make balancing the game oh-so-much easier... No need to complain about too many prots on Thunder, because everyone takes the same damage.

Maybe I'm not quite understanding your suggestion...

 

Buy a 3 protection module?

Then buy other protections (individually) to swap in-and-out as needed (while in garage)?

No - you wouldn’t be able to swap as needed. You would be paying for a one-time change. Want to change again? Pay again.

 

The advantage would be that you would pay less than the full price of a double or triple module and you would end up with the module you need the most.

 

I’m envisioning this as a player response to rebalances, when our modules are no longer aligned to the effectiveness of turrets on the battlefield.

 

It would also bring in crystal and maybe real money revenue to Tanki following rebalances.

 

It would also cause player rage bc we’re paying to change our modules following a game change. IDK. I’m not married to any of this. Just a thought.

Like when they shafted me on my "old" viking and swapped the stats with Hunter, but did not give me option to change...

Yep - so for example you’ve got a nice module against Railgun, Thunder, and Ricochet and have upgraded it to 50%. Along comes Tanki designers and rebalances, say nerfing Railgun while giving Smoky a buff. Suddenly there are many fewer Railgun in battle, more Smokies. You would then pay a one-time in crystals to swap out the Railgun protection in your module for Smoky.

 

Players will think this should be free. Designers know better - that players will pay a lot of crystals and even sometimes a little real money to get the gear they want.

 

Again, this is academic. I doubt we’ll ever see anything like this in the game.

Current modules could become Legacy 2, and we would get the option to switch from any Legacy and Legacy 2 modules to the new modules for free. It could be based on value, that way we can even switch Singles and Doubles to Triples.

As you are aware, modules will soon be reset and the system will become dynamic, i.e. you will be able to customise your module for every battle, rather than having a bunch of preset combinations :)

so when I have a Dragon LGC-11 (11/11) for it or will it be replaced by something similar about the same value of protection 33 percent?

Yeah, you'll probably get a single 33% Rico module which you will then be able to combine with any other modules to get a Triple. unless you have a better Rico module, in which case you'll get a higher % single Rico module.

 

But don't quote me on that - it's just speculation at this point.

so i have 3 triple m3 modules, railgun-shaft-vulcan; railgun-twins-thunder and shaft-magnum-ricochet... 

 

so i will get 7 single modules or 9? because shaft and railgun are in 2 of my modules..

No idea. I have a feeling that you will get 3 single modules for every triple module and you will be able to re-arrange them into new modules, being able to upgrade each single module individually. But at the moment it's just speculation. Not even Nives knows the truth  :ph34r:

ahaha if that's the case i feel so sorry for mega buyers with more than 5 triple modules  :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

Actually what I said above is probably the best-case scenario for people with lots of modules. The worst case is having all modules removed and ending up with just 14 singles (or however many different protections you had).

but my friend has 26 m4 triple modules... even if you give her all 14 single modules at 100% protection you still can't compensate her enough

yes of course it'd be better but... it'd be the same as people who only had 5 triple modules.. 

 

she spent so much money so she could have the most suitable module in every battle and have an advantage no one else has... and now they're gonna make her the same as people who only spent a sad fraction of what she did?

I honestly don't think modules are that important to the game. Just get rid of them ._.

Then some parkour tricks can not be done i think

She's not losing anything.  And she's likely benefited from those modules over time, right?

 

Did people who paid full price for MUs get refunded when they cut the price of MUs in half?  Nope...

I like your idea, but the planned update is not the same. I don't know why mods do this, it's not helping.

It basically is the same. Modules are getting reset and players will be able to combine whatever protection combination they need.
