I took the typing test on the website you suggested. My keyboard was not intended for fast typing. The keys require a hard touch and the spacebar even harder. But I still came out with

 

31 wpm

Accuracy: 96.4%

Time: 1:44

 

Most of the errors was because of the spacebar. Another problem with this keyboard is when I press "a" the "q" prints, too. Never had those problems with any other keyboard.

But I prefer AOEU since that tests me for an entire minute and sees if I can maintain the speed for the entire minute, over there I average on the mid 120s and this is my highest:  :lol:

I maxed out at 37 WPM but imo it's alot easier typing stuff from your head than having to read it and type at the same time,

 

Edit ok on the one that tpam posted I got 44 WPM, I was trying to go back and fix all my slight errors and I'm on my phone, might be better on a PC

there are tips like typing fast while reading a text, so what you have to do is: first read the word, then keep that word in mind and type that word, and then do for the same for next words, this will make your typing faster, this tip was said by TypeRacer developers

It's best to start off by first memorizing the keys, and keeping your fingers in the right places so that certain keys are surrounding the proper fingers. That way, you can focus much easier on the text, rather than always changing your focus to your hands or the keyboard itself. :lol:
