Yeah absolutely.

It is also the most gratifying when you finished an item; knowing how many crystals you saved up during all those sales. 

 

I am not quite there yet but I believe 5 or 6 items will hit the M4 mark at the same day next year or so.  :D

I did something similar aswell, when MU's got simplified I acquired 3 items automatically to full M4 and decided to upgrade my Smoky instantly with speedups on a sale. The Viking/Smoky, Shaft or Thunder is what I used while all my other turrets sat in the garage slowly MU'ing. But over the course of time they've all passed the 10/20 mark and  becoming quite powerful so I've been using more and more turrets. 

 

It's also relatively easy to keep up with the prices you pay for the MU's during the sales. It sets a nice guideline for me to spend crystals; well outside special items that is. (I have spent some money on special paints :ph34r:) 

 

Actually it's not a bad move at all to ram up one turret and hull to M4 and use it as your main while you put patience in the rest of your gear and stock M3's are probably less underpowered at your rank than they are at mine.

Last year was last year with good holydays, everything was in non-pro and pro battles,this year everything is only in that sh*ty non-pro battles (New year celebration, Valentaines day, April fools, and all other!!)

In general I MU the first 5 steps at normal cost then the rest on sale. The savings from the low end of the MU scale is not worth the time to wait for a sale. For m3 modules you can actually do a 2-3 more steps at full cost if you are flush. I haven't hit Marshal yet so I've not yet MU'ed an m3 turret or hull (20 steps) so I am not sure at what point I'll stop for sales only.

Yeah true, I think I upgraded Striker and Magnum to 7 at normal but because I wanted to get more into its gameplay.

the rest was done at 4-5 normal Mu's until I switched to sales. Freeze, Firebird, Railgun and Mammoth are purely fueled by MU sales because I rarely use them currently. 

 

Personally, they get too expensive for me when an M3 has reached 4-5 upgrades. That is when an upgrade will pass the 10K boundry  :wacko:. It is all up to you to decide at which point they're not worth the full price anymore.

 

On the other hand, these kind of sales seem to become the default choice for the developers to use in events.. they're not so rare anymore as a few years back. If the event takes up a few days, the MU sale will most likely be active on the last day though. I would've done the very same thing if I owned the business.

 

Anyway, you gain a lot from them if you MU multiple items, I can't think of a more effective spending strategy in this game.

Not really true. New Years was 1k. Valentine's Day was 1k. Iron Days was 1k. Halloween was 1k. So it would be nicer if they increased the amount of crystals in a gold box for TO's birthday or these celebrations :)

And thats the reason why tanki has enough money to pay its developers.

 

You play for maybe 2 hours per week per account, so you don't feel it, but if a free player wants to play an hour a day, or more, he will not be able to compete with people in his rank.

Maintaining multiple accounts is the only way f2p players can play more of this game, but that gets very cumbersome for most after a point.

Wowee - took me completely by surprise. Wasn't expecting May sale announcement until next weekend.

 

Still plenty of time to hit up my local merchant for a PaySafeCard for that bundle. Container one, not the animated paint. Seems to me that since Nightmare, which was awesome, the more recent animated paints haven’t interested me as much. But if I could buy Matrix.......

 

50% MU sale rocks my world. I’ll only finish one M4 this time. Next MU sale will complete my M4 garage with the exception of a few HullsI just don’t care about (Hunter, Dictator,Mammoth)

 

More importantly, the MU sale gets me 8/10 on my three M2 alts. My goal with those accounts is to have 10/10 (M3 power) at First Lieutenant. Twins and Firebird are really good, but Isida with that kind of power at that rank is just insane.
