Trends - do you follow them and do you like or dislike them?

Recommended Posts

ok so there is so many trends out there now such as woman with hairy legs or not shaving under arms ,  to silver hair with rainbow hair underneath it , to a new one just found out of fake eyelashes to create nostril hair . most are for woman . if you found any in your part of the world let us know about it . it would be interesting to find out what others are doing ..

for the men also post new trends for you..

remember to be respectful and keep in mind the rules on what can be posted . no one is insulting anyone. all I want to know is what is still come out in the world seeing Canada seems to fall behind on the good trends .. some of us are too afraid to take a leap into new trends in Canada ..

When it comes to memes on reddit,

Yeah I stopped following them. Currently I am considered a Normie when I post a meme that older than 7 hours. No thanks; the dank meme community becomes full of themselves.

I respect those who follow their own style. Unfortunately I don't have the guts to do the same.

I don't follow trends either; I guess I am more of a casual guy with likeminded friends.

Not that I don't like it that way, I just envy those who can really be themselves you know.

I personally prefer to follow common sense rather than trends. If a trend doesn't make sense to me, I won't follow it just because everyone else does. If a certain trend seems to be make sense to me, then I'm far more likely to follow it.

I didn't expect to hear such words of wisdom on the tanki forum of all places.

I completely agree with you, something does not need to be ridiculed just because it is not up to date with the current "trend" or whether it's outdated or not, it should be about how original or funny something is.

To heck with trends.

A trend in my area that sticks out to me would be the use of the JUUL. The JUUL is a USB powered vaping device with 2x as much nicotine as a pack of cigarettes. According to vox the JUUL only cost about $16 to $30 per month to supply. The sad thing about this device is that suddenly it feels like 1/4 of the youth in my area are smoking and destroying their lives. The kids who don't use the JUUL and are a mix of smart and free are middlemen. They supply the JUUL or the juice for it and sell that stuff for more in school then they paid, making money. Right before everyone was talking about Fortnite, everyone was talking about the dam JUUL.

What are my views on this trend? I hate it. It really saddens me that people will do things that destroy their lives just because they think it makes them look cool.

I'd like to think of myself as a trendsetter when I do set out to trend. However, my live squirrel necklace never caught on.

I don't follow trends and I don't follow fads. I was never one to follow the crowd, either.

When I was young and I said to my parents, "Why not? Everyone else does." My Mom would say, "If Everyone Else jumped off the cliff, would you?" It made sense. I do my own thing.

I follow as much as trends as I can, I feel left out if I don't, sometimes I like em' if they interest me. normie meme's never did and never will interest me.

when it comes to memes, i never post them or talk to anyone on reddit, just observe them to have a quick laugh.

trends are usually rather stupid, so no, i dont like them, nor do i follow them.
