Ask players before updating something

Recommended Posts

In fact I don't really like this game anymore and might leave soon.

Did I tell you about my friends' opinion about this game? Everyone thinks that it has old and bad graphics , and they are right , aren't they?

Please note that players are leaving cuz of bad updates.

You can update good things not bad things.Otherwise the game will die and already we see that it is dying.Active players number was 50000 until 2 months ago but now it's almost 25000 , not higher than that.

If you ask ''how can we solve this?''

You can start to remove updates which out of favor by players , even if you can't this , you can ask players before updating  something. If most of the players dont want it update , then don't update it.

Is there any point of making a good game bad? Tanki was really nice game since 2011/2012 and until 2014.

If you read all of them , I will be happy.

Thanks.

If developers wanted to do this, they would have. The reason why most of the time these's no point doing this is because developers already know how many players will be in favour or against an update. If they were to do a poll and the results of such a poll would be heavily negative, the update would still be released because it's necessary. For example, Matchmaking, the "Battle!" button, removal of missions from PRO - all these updates got a lot of negative feedback, but they are necessary to keep the game alive.

Also, a lot of people dislike an update even without trying it simply because they're used to the game in its current state and don't want change. This also affects results of a pre-update poll, since there will be more negativity compared to if this poll was held after the update's release.

I liked ALL those updates, I think they should say when, what, and  how they will change something, a public "future update" poll should be released, developers dont know us . . . (PS, if you want to prevent players leaving, remove supplies and bonus boxes altogether, thats the reason most people leave, cant keep up with druggers, cause of that, are made to poor to afford a pro pass)

This isn't possible because developers simply don't know when exactly an update will be ready for release. If you watch the v-logs, you know that they already tell us as much as possible about upcoming updates, their details, progress and approximate release date. But they can't say much more because if they start making promises, it would look unprofessional if those promises are not delivered.

Not possible. Supply sales are one of the biggest sources of revenue for this game, so they can't just get rid of it. Not to mention that most players find battles without supplies to be extremely boring and slow.

If you want to keep up with druggers, you need to either spend real money or be smart about how and when you use your supplies.

@Maf bro do you think that the tanki in 2018 is better than the one in 2014?

If yes why too many people left game ? just explain me :)

What about the new hull overdrives? I think most of players absolutely hate overdrive and these new overdrives seem to be totally ridiculous.

I explained it in detail in this topic, so I recommend that you read that, as it will help you understand why developers are doing what they're doing.

To summarise:

In 2015 devs thought that Tanki X would replace Tanki Online, so they stopped updating TO and stopped advertising it, so old players were leaving more and more due to lack of updates, while new players didn't come because the game wasn't advertised. But then due to some changes Tanki X no longer became a viable replacement for TO, so devs went back to TO and started working to change it into a proper MMO game, so that it can start gaining players again.

Players have always been leaving because they get bored or find a better game to play, but the reason player numbers are decreasing is because there are no new players to replace those, who left. And in order for new players to like the game and stay, the game needs to be changed to be interesting and appealing to new players, hence why things like Matchmaking, supply nerfs, 10-minute battles and mobile version have been done.

Overall, despite the fact that there are some things that I prefer about the 2014 version of Tanki. I think the game is much better now than it was in 2014. There are many more cool features, battles are more dynamic, the interface is more convenient and the gap between buyers and free players is not as bad as it was before.

DRUGGERS find no supply battles boring, cos there not winning by having drugs do 97% of the skill -.- im done with these noob non-pro battles, the game should be made like a pro battle, no drugs, no overdrive, no unfair advantages . . . and I bet they already make enough money from people buying crystals and containers :/

Have you actually played proper PRO battles? It's impossible to capture a flag or do anything without proper support from competent teammates. You're very unlikely to find such a team in a random battle, which is why you mostly have to rely on supplies if you want to make a difference. Also, supplies are an additional gameplay mechanic that generally makes the game more interesting, since there's more you can do other than just drive around and shoot.

No-supply battles belong in PRO battles where they are now, because they are meant for a different type of players, who care about skill and want to use complicated tactics and strategies to win battles, rather than simple brute force. This can't be applies to casual games, where players just want to relax and shoot some enemy tanks without thinking too much.

Anyway, with the amount of supplies we're currently getting from missions, mission chains and containers, there's no reason you should ever not have enough of them (unless you play many hours a day and use them non-stop).

Ok, I understand now . . . do you know by any chance if there is a Anti-Supply protest section in the forum?

not true-so many people left BECAUSE of the very updates trying to make there be enough people (per battle)!! It would be better if they never happened at all.

How do you know that many people left because of that?

Personally, I genuinely like that update. Before it was implemented, the battle list was just a bunch of Silence, Polygon and Sandbox battles, while any other less common maps or formats struggled to get players. Now, there's a pretty good variety of maps and all of them fill up within 2-3 minutes of the battle starting. I say that's a pretty good improvement.

Sandbox is a GREAT map and I do not want to pay 3500 crystals every month to play it (it is good even when it is ruined by Magnum).
