Aptly said, the main objective is to create a written message to the future readers of the Newspaper. Be creative! Mention the recent major community events. Include pictures, the community's dreams for the upcoming year, or even speculate on the future of Tanki Online, Tanki X and the Newspaper. There are no strict guidelines. The goal is to create a definitive message that will intrigue the 2018 readers of the Tanki Online Newspaper.

Hello Dear Tankers, this is Snootera writing from July 27-28, 2017.I hope that when you read this (if, because I don’t know the results still), I will still be attached to the Tanki world and if I am, my comments will surely be there in the comments below. Ok, let’s get to work readers of issue 78 or let’s say issue 80.Get ready to enter the time capsule with your captain-Snootera. My duty here is to give you an insight into the time in the Tanki era when I am writing this message. For your as well as my ease, let’s start from the beginning of this year and then end up with my thoughts about what is going on now.

 

-          As usual the year began with the New Year Celebrations that included the special Assault mode, sales, holiday bundles and so on. On 23^rd December 2016, a new weapon called Striker (Rocket launcher) was introduced in the game. Later, a special format for Hornet and Striker was also introduced.

 

-          February saw the launch of in-game clan system which I think would now be much more prominent and improved. Valentine’s Day and Iron days Celebrations were held with discounts, themed decorations, special gifts etc. The Lord of the Points e-sports tournament was also announced.

 

-          Then, March brought with it The Women’s Day celebrations with more sales, holiday bundles and you know. A special contest “Women’s Day Postcard Contest” was organized and YIPEE! I was one of the runners up.

 

-          The period also saw frequent supply experiments with varied changes so as to establish a better game play.

 

-          And then came into our game the not-so-popular but a revolutionary turret-Magnum which we knew firstly as the Artillery turret. A Magnum giveaway was organized based on the kills you make in a set period. And yeah, these types of giveaways continued to be held frequently offering various cool prizes.

 

 

-          Hardly had the spirit of women’s day calmed down when the April Fools Celebration was announced with the classic Fools day Gold box that offered Invincibility, All-supplies activated, Premium days, Crystals etc.

 

-          <I Don’t Know> became winners of “Lords of the Points” Economy Category and <Vavilon> won the VIP category.

 

-          The Cosmonautics Day was celebrated which brought a very IMPORTANT update that is the introduction of The Space mode with low gravity, the idea stemming from the former map-Moon silence. This feature was later made permanent in the game. Also, the bottom floor of Madness Map was removed.

 

-          In April, the Communicators panel was introduced which provided a new “News section” in the lobby where one could view all recent updates, announcements etc.

 

 

-          May brought the anticipated “May Holidays”. Now, READ carefully my friends, during this celebration, a new “Zero Supply” was introduced. This was a new supply that activated all other supplies (except Gold box) and I think that now, you would have guessed what I am talking about.Yes,this zero supply with a survey and improvements gave rise to the all-popular idea of Overdrives which by now, I think would be an integral part of your game play. So coming back to May 2017. This feature was later made permanent and now, that is July 2017; we have come to know that this idea will make the hulls more unique. Tanki has informed us that each hull would soon have its own unique overdrive that would give it a special power. Well, I think you all know what I am talking about.

 

-          In May, all the servers were merged. In place of RU, DE etc. now all are EN.

 

 

-          Okay, so enough for May. June brought with it summer holidays that begun with The Tanki’s 8^th Birthday Celebrations. On June 4, an extra special award was given to all those who logged-in. The traditional quest- “The Game” was held with more difficult puzzles and secrets.

 

-          On second June, it was announced that for the duration of summer holidays till August, completion of daily mission chains would give bigger prizes. The offer is still on but my fellow friends, I am writing this message rather than playing. You know.

 

 

So now we are going to step into what is happening now that means July 2017.

-          "All Kind" has won the Domination Series Season II.

-          Promo codes have been introduced. These special codes can be entered in the shop and players can avail             crystals, premium days, gold boxes etc.

-          The first animated paint Flow has been introduced.

-          Real-prize giveaways have been held offering Headsets, Mechanical Keyboards etc.

-          Live streams with Cedric and Esports team along with huge giveaways have become more frequent

-          Wiki mania Contest and the Commentator Contests are also going on.

 

And presently, the list of Tanki news from where I got all this information has ended and now we come to the second part of my short (are you joking??)message.

 

So, let me think. Okay, First of all let me tell you about the current status of the game play development of tanki. At present, the focus of our Respected Game developers is on

The Matchmaking system, shifting to HTML 5 and the mobile version of tanki.

Well this is the exciting part.

 

-          So I think it will be useless to tell you what the matchmaking system is because by the time you read this message, this system will be in the game more improved and refined. The matchmaking system refers to the new system of selecting and playing battles. The main menu after logging in to tanki would now consist of a number of buttons leading to different game modes. This system would ensure that we play with equal-ranked players and enjoy our battles. If you think this is obvious then let me tell you that at present this is not the case.

At present, we have a combined battle list of pro and non-pro battles with unusually large rank brackets which makes it difficult to find a nice battle. Yes, there is something called pro pass which will not be their when you are reading this. Pro pass is now used to create special battles but after the match making system this mechanism would totally change.

 

-          The game developers are also working on shifting to HTML 5 and creating a mobile-compatible version of tanki online which I think would really increase the popularity of our game.

 

From today till when you read this, there would surely be a lot of changes that would revolutionize our game. But I am sure that these would include:

-  The proper implementation of Match making system

-  Html5

-  Mobile version

-  Introduction of all overdrives

-   Increase in the popularity of tanki

-   Some changes in the clan system to make it more efficient, easy and accessible

-  Cool and better contests and an Overall improvement in our beloved Newspaper and all other communication media.

 

I don’t know whether my entry would be displayed to all of you and whether I would still be playing tanki but if this is displayed and if I am active then wait for my replies in the comments below. Well let’s be positive. Scroll down my friends, I am there.
