Greetings Agent. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves the capping of 10 flags. You may select any hulls, turrets, and protection modules. But it is essential that you do it in normal battles (not PRO!). You have till your mum asks you to go to bed…

★ Introduction

This introduction could be the beginning of the next MI movie, … n-a-h, only a pro starter for this special guide on Daily Missions.

The slow and steady unending development of the Matchmaking feature unfurled a series of updates altering several aspects of the game which are affecting the Missions process indirectly (10 minutes battles) or directly (pro-battle only, 10 weeks chain). These new updates resulted in a lot of questions within the community and they seemed to discourage players to accomplish them. Now, are the Missions Impossible?

Cheesy I know, … never mind, … in other words: for some tankers, Tanki’s missions feel like they are not difficult, but more like mission impossible. However, "difficult" should be a walk in the park for all of us!

In this guide we will look at each type of them in more detail and I will provide you with some guidance and tips to complete them in an efficient and quick way. Let’s start shall we.

How to Complete your Daily Missions

First of all, let me remind you that they can only be completed in regular, non-PRO, battles. We will never repeat it enough as we still see some questions in the forum about this…

For clarity, I have regrouped the missions by similarities and then sorted them by level of difficulty of execution. The level of complexity of the mission is scaled as follows: (easy), ★★ (medium), ★★★ (hard) and ★★★★ (extra hard). The ranking given above does not take into account the number of specific actions required (e.g. cap 3 flags or 10), but assess only the execution of the specific action (e.g. capping a flag). While the higher the number of actions required makes it take longer to complete, the difficulty of execution stays relatively the same. There is always an exception to that rule; the special mission, which I will cover at the end of the article. We will go through each type of mission from the easiest to the hardest.

Collect Boxes

Goal: In this mission the player's main goal is to pick up a defined number of a specific supply box in battles: Repair Kit (RK), Speed Boost (SB), Double Damage (DD), or Double Armor (DA) boxes.

Difficulty:

maQk66k.png
4 tightly packed Speed boosts on Highways

(there are 2 more outside of view on the level below).

What to do: This daily mission is by far the easiest to complete. While collecting from 1 to 10 boxes from the battleground, at least one opponent in the battle is required for the collection to be valid.

The harvest is faster when you are in the adequate maps combined with the right battle mode. Selecting battle modes where the action is spread over the map will allow you to accumulate them without being troubled or killed. The best battle modes to complete this mission are CTF, CP, RGB and ASL and the worse mode are TDM and especially DM, where everybody is competing against each other.

The rarest supply available on maps is the repair kit. However, you will find them in large numbers in a couple of key maps, such as Brest (x6), Solikamsk (x5), Forest (x4) and Future (x4). Be careful because since the last map update for Matchmaking, a couple of maps in RGB, CP and ASL, have fewer repair kits than in CTF mode, and sometime none at all. In this case it is better to choose CTF mode by default.

Here are 4 of the best maps filled with many drops boxes (value from CTF mode):

  • Highways :12 SB, 2 RK, 10 DD & 10 DA (Total: 32)
  • Solikamsk :10 SB, 5 RK, 7 DD & 8 DA (Total: 30)
  • Brest: 8 SB, 6 RK, 6 DD & 4 DA (Total: 24)
  • Wolfenstein: 6 SB, 4 RK, 6 DD & 6 DA (Total: 22)

In terms of equipment, use a light hull to quickly cover large distances. I would recommend combining the easy box mission with a more difficult one in a single battle to save time. You might not complete the latter, but it will make it progress and easier to complete the next day.

One special note: there are a lot of haters towards players taking boxes for missions; don't worry, you can ignore them 100%. One third of your teammates are noobs who take the boxes even when they don’t need them (and they don’t even have a box mission), while another third are druggers that have plenty in their garage. Finally, the last tiers are the “self-proclaimed-pro," consequently, they can manage with fewer boxes available and show you how to do it. :D

Destroy a Number of Enemies

Goal: In this mission the player needs to kill a defined number of enemy tanks in any battle mode.

Difficulty:

dN0nxuJ.png

Own a corner of the map with a clear view and easy access to a couple of drops (DD and DA).
Use mines to soften incoming tanks.

What to do: This mission can be done in any type of battle mode and is relatively easy to achieve. The main trouble would be to manage it within your allocated time. There are already plenty of tips published for killing opponents quickly and efficiently (e.g. read this manual regarding K/D), therefore I will not linger on details and will only list a couple of key ones.

The fastest way is to gear your tank with your strongest combo and select DM mode in small maps. In this case, the best maps would be Highland, Iran, Red Alert, Polygon and Bridges. Once there, do not waste your shots on freshly respawned tanks. Instead, kill-steal by targeting wounded tanks.

If DM mode is not your cup of tea, you can select any team battle mode like RGB, CP, ASL, and CTF, at the exception of TDM. Those modes have “honey pots” located in open places: key areas like flag post, control points, rugby balls, … where enemy tend to gather around. In the shadows, wait for the enemy to converge toward those appealing zones and start killing within your turret range. Likewise, you can camp near choke points or narrow corridors leading to these honey pots and then start to kill-steal. Use turrets that can damage several tanks in one shot, either with splash damage (Magnum, Thunder and Striker) or with a large area of action (Firebird and Freeze), or the powerful ones that deal one shot-kills (Railgun and Shaft).

The smart use of supplies will help, like ... a lot. Use and overuse Double Damage. With twice more damage per shot, you will kill twice as fast. Consequently, make sure you have plenty available in your garage or close by (drops).

Earn a Number of Experience Points

Goal: In this mission the player needs to earn a defined amount of experience points.

Difficulty: ★★

eh1BA27.png
This is not the best example as I had to play DM, however I managed to complete

2 missions here :D. One 200 Xp on DM and one 600 XP on any battle mode.

What to do: The mission briefing will specify if it can be done in a designated battle mode. Or if you are lucky, in any battle mode. The former is more constricted, while the latter cam make it easier for you to achieve the task.

When no specific battle mode is required, you should play to your strengths by selecting the mode that you are the best at. Otherwise, play in CTF, CP or RGB battle mode because they generate the highest amount of experience per game due to additional rewarding actions (capping, scoring goal or killing flag bearer, …).

Play on maps that are full or almost full of players; the more players the more experience points are generated for the player that captures (flags and control points alike) or the goal scorer. Consequently, the more you participate actively in the battle by capturing, the faster you accumulate experience points. In contrast, observing the battle or chatting will not help at all. Returning flags generates experience, but it is very low, unless you do it far from your base.

If you prefer amassing experience points by destroying tanks, then there are two tricks you can apply.

The first one is not so well known - as it turns out - killing the flag bearer. By doing so you will be given double the experience points: 20 instead of the 10 points normally credited for a normal tank. Furthermore, you can leave the dropped flag to another opponent and kill the new flag bearer again… yes easy points and yes... I’m Machiavelli.

The second trick is even lesser known but you actually do it without noticing it. All I am asking you is to be better at it because as it generates up to 33% the worth of each damage you make. The principle is the following: when multiple players contribute to the kill of an enemy tank, the overall experience points accredited is spread between them (according to the % of their respective damage contribution) and it is not 10 but 15 experience points! A welcomed massive increase of 50% in total of potential experience points.

For example, if you contributed by 80% of the total damage: 80% of 15 gives you 12 experience point which is 20% higher than if you killed it all by yourself (10 experiences points). The best way to take advantage of this is to be the one that gives the most damage without killing the tank, because if you finish or kill-steal, you lose some of the damage that might have occurred. Therefore, aim for being the first to damage any freshly spawned tank. This approach is the exact opposite of the DM mode and kill mission.

The good news is that the perks of the premium and beginner pass (+50% experience as shown in the green bar) are taken into account by this mission, I suggest you make good use of those passes.

Earn a Number of Crystals

Goal: In this mission the player needs to earn a defined amount of crystals.

Difficulty: ★★

fb5CieP.png

Oh, this was a sweet battle with double fund and 3 hours premium.

I earned 1542 crystals, far more than the 250 required.

What to do: The mission details will specify if it can be done in a designated battle mode. Or if you are lucky, in any mode. The former is more constricted, while the latter can be easier to achieve. In order to get the crystals counted, it is required to see the battle through. If for any reason, you leave the battle before the end, you will not cash any crystals.

Overall, the crystals missions require you to perform the same battle actions as the experience type one (so read the chapter above if you did not). The main difference is that you have to be in the winning team in order to complete the mission rapidly. As you well know, for the same battle score, the winners get most of the crystals from the battle funds and the losers get the crumbles. The other difference is that you can play in Deathmatch mode, but only if you are good at finishing among the top players, otherwise… pass.

To summarize, play CTF, CP and RGB, kill flag bearers, cap and score goals. The more you participate in a battle, the more crystals are generated. The higher the battle points you receive, the more crystals you get from the battle fund. Finally, for completing crystal missions you will need to play longer than other missions because you need to finish in the winning team and wait until the very end of the game.

The good news is that the bonus rewards from the premium and beginner pass (+100% crystals) are taken into account by this mission. I suggest you make good use of those passes. And furthermore, during the special events with double fund (or more), the additional crystals generated are also taken into account. So even if you are on the losing team you can still achieve this mission faster than usual.

Capture or Deliver Flags, Capture Points or Score Goals

Goal: In this mission the player must perform a number of one of the following actions: capture flags in CTF, capture points in CP, deliver flags in AS or score goals in RGB.

Difficulty: (for CP) & ★★★ (for CTF, ASL and RGB)

sO2SQ00.png

Played this one with a powerful friend and his mult viking/twins combo. I capped all my required flags. The last one was done in an unconventional fashion: flying from the cliff, landed on the side and slided on the flank right toward our flag. @LIMITFULL gave me a final "gentle push", "just in case", till I hit the border of the map. Such a good friend.

What to do: This is one of the difficult missions after finishing top and the main reason is that its success depends not only on your skill but on the skills of your teammates and of course how resilient the opposite team is. The least difficult one is about capping control points. Even with a bad team you can manage it quickly. For the other battle modes, it will highly depend on the teams’ distribution and you will have to cope with that as you are far less in control.

The best way to tackle CP missions is to play on map with multiple control points, the more, the easier it gets: Highways is one of the easiest with 7 control points. The most difficult ones are the maps with only 3 control points, so you better avoid them if you don't have much time.

Here is the list of maps with their number of Control Points:

  • 7 control points: Highways
  • 5 control points: Brest, Desert, Iran, Future, Industrial Zone, Kungur, Massacre, Osa, Rio, Serpuhov, Solikamsk, Wolfenstein, Yorkshire.
  • 3 control points: Aleksandrovsk, Barda, Bridges, Highland, Polygon, Red Alert, Silence, Tribute, Year 2042

For the other battle modes, make sure you have the equipment adapted to the mode and be reactive regarding key changes in the combat situation. Find the weakness of the opposite team and wear the appropriate protection module to ensure your survival. The best strategy is first to wait for drops and a full Overdrive, and secondly to team up before attacking. Supplies and Overdrive will make your tank faster and stronger, so make good use of the control key 1, 2, 3, 4 and shift, complete the set with drops found on the maps, they will be your ally too.

If you assist your teammate in RGB and CTF, there is a chance for you to get the ball or the flag if your teammate dies. Isida or flag protector can occasionally receive the flag by grateful teammate for you to cap. While in ASL mode, you cannot pass the flag, you must make it alive all the way to the delivery point. To me this is the -worst- most difficult mode now for this type of mission, you need medium hulls for strength and reasonable speed.

For CTF, ASL and RGB, you cannot properly hide anymore because of the new battle notification: everybody knows where you are. A good knowledge of the map layout is crucial. Learn by heart all the possible routes to the goal or flag base. Teaming up will help. Unfortunately, if everybody else has the same mission as you, they will not cooperate much. To remedy this, invite friends in this type of mission.

To summarize, success is now about opportunities. Wait for the right moment and be picky with your equipment choices.

Finish Among the Top 3 in the Winning Team

Goal: In this mission the player is required to finish in the top three of the podium (for DM mode) and on the winning team (for team mode).

Difficulty: ★★★

uym9GX0.png

With my low alt account and a Dictator/Railgun M1 combo on DM Iran.

Even being the lowest rank on that game I finished second,

take the corner of the map, align any tanks and double shot as many as possible.

What to do: This mission is labelled by the community as the most difficult mission of all. It is seen as the impossible mission by many: a/ it has to be done in a full game, from start till the end b/ there is no progress to save. What shall I do?

If you are a noob, the easiest and most sensible way to deal with it, is … to change it for another mission ... but no, you are no noob and you welcome a worthy challenge once in the while. Ok.

First you need to choose a map and battle mode that you master: CFT, DM, … whatever you master and can express your skills because this mission is about execution and skills. You have to be the best and superior to the rest of the crowd, your teammates and the losing team alike. Secondly, you need to start from the beginning, you cannot come in the middle of the game and expect to finish in the top three. Come on!

If you do not possess that awesome skill, then try to use the system to your advantage.

One option is joining the winning side of an unbalanced game and play strong and fast. Why? Because the opponent team will be quickly. If you cap early or secure a certain amount of points, further opponents will leave, and the game will engage the earlier termination process. Make sure you focus on killing only the strongest enemy players. Trust me, it works like a charm, especially late at night (after 20:00 UTC) and with the less favoured battle modes (TDM, RGB and ASL).

Another option, which I have done many times, is to team up with a strong skilled friend and you play together and help each other to complete the most rewarding battle activities. For example, to help my friend I will give it to him the flag to capture. In DM, team up and increase your chances of reaching the top. This strategy works even better if you target the strongest opponent. They will die more often and will leave you alone if you're persistent on killing him/her.

The last approach is the real classic, pair your Isida with a heavy hull combined with long range turrets (e.g. Vulcan). The constant healing generates a massive amount of battle score experience fro the healer. The trick works quite well in TDM where it is less risked to be overtaken by other tankers doubling points with capping and scoring goals.

Special Mission for Holidays Events

Goal: In this mission the player needs to complete different actions only during the period of the event.

Difficulty: ★★ (CP & Kills) / ★★★ (Cap flags, Crystals and Experience points) / ★★★★ (Finish first)

pGLrkC2.png
An assortment of the Special Missions from the past 3 years.

What to do: The type of these special missions vary from doing kills, capping flags or earnings experience point while wearing the holiday paint (or not nowadays). Some events associated are usually short so there is also a time constraint (the worst-case scenario was one day!). Also, do not forget that any uncompleted or unclaimed mission is removed when the event ends. On average the objective figure is about 3 times greater than the equivalent maximum daily mission. For example, during Halloween 2017, the special mission required to earn 3000 xp in the DM mode, this value is equivalent to 3 times the maximum requirement for the same daily mission, which is 1000 xp. The other favourites are:

  • Special “kill 250 tanks” Vs. daily “100 tanks” - so 2.5 times more
  • Special “cap 10 flags” Vs. daily “3 flags” – so 3.3 times more

During the last new year (2018), the bold developers cooked a new concept: instead of one special holiday mission, they multiplied every single daily mission: cap 10 control points became 30, 10 drops became 30 drops … consequently you could end up with these hard missions: earn 3000 experience points or 1500 crystals (to name a few). And of course, the ultimate extra hard mission: finish first 3 times!

Apply the same tips as instructed above per type of mission, but do it more efficiently by playing with friends and do allocate more fun time. It is a holiday after all.

Outro

When addressing a mission make sure you focus on the key element (strategy, equipment and battle mode) that would help you finish it efficiently and neatly. Above all, do not hesitate to invite friend(s) to help you out. And no I am not suggesting farming, power leveling or sabotaging. I am talking about having good time with friend(s). Difficult missions, apart from finish top 3, have their progress saved. Therefore, do not hesitate to planning on completing them over several days.

I kept this article short on purpose, so you could concentrate on tackling the technical aspect of the missions, but I am working on a sequel to cover the history and management of mission chains.

As always, should you be killed many times, Hazel-rah will disavow all knowledge of your actions. And the next time you go on holiday, please be good enough to choose a better broadband provider, you lagged like agent @Marc. Good luck, this article will self-destruct in five seconds.

See you later laggers!

Nah, I'll never write in french again. I might change my mind if we have 200K players.

And, I'm not a reporter anymore, my article happened to be selected from the Amateur Writing Section.

Nah, i'll never write in french again. I might change my mind if we have 200K players.

This means that 303403 players have earned at least 365 exp this week... so we already have more than 200k players.

PNIbCl3gqK4.jpg

and if you're talking about french speaking people, you have to write so as to attract them.

It's not really worth to write for 1k players only, so yeh.

shooo!

so your next article will be in french along with a couple french contests?

Guido you need to stop daydreaming about French contest, you are not 10 year old anymore. Anyway no more French articles from me that's a definite 100% final word, I have no proofreader and no readers.

I'm not reporter for the newspaper, I'm free-lance writer. I publish in the AWS, if the Newspaper like it, they take it.
