game balance conspiracy

MM is finally in the game and Devs don't have any major update in there list now, so we can hope more "game balance"  updates in coming future  :ph34r:

Nah, that project energizer will be the main thing to focus on. It will be the start of endless alterations on alterations on alterations on alterations on alterations of consumables; batteries, drones, supplies.. you name it.

 

Your hull and turret wouldn't be your actual equipment anymore. It will be secondary equipment. The more consumables someone has, the bigger the strength.

 

Perhaps one day we can microupgrade the main 5 supplies or even microupgrade our microupgrades of the supplies.

loll i wasn't here when they did that,, did they really say the switched the stats because of "balance"? alson were the unlock ranks also the same at the time like they are now?

They said Hunter looks slower or something stupid like that.

Hunter is higher, heavier, slower and more stable than Viking.

 

Dictator is higher, heavier, slower and more stable than Hunter.

 

Quite logical. Surely more logical than OP splash damage and unflipping tanks with gun recoil (such a funny and unique mechanic that is in no other game). Magnum needs nerf.

then why is mammoth heavier than titan when titan is higher than mammoth?

 

why is hornet heavier than wasp when wasp is higher?

Wasp is faster than Hornet because it is extremely short. Mammoth is so slow because it looks like a bias. Why is Dictator so extremely high? Idk. Maybe devs like it that way. Maybe it would be too OP if it had low height. Dictator Railgun is a popular combo mainly because of its turret placement (that also applies to Wasp). If these 2 hulls had lower height, they would actually become OP with Railgun (also with Magnum and Shaft).

now that drones are released... it doesn't seem very logical that you can only use 1 drone at a time doesn't it? I mean... they are controlled by artifical intellegence... you don't decide when to use them so... why not let us use all 12 drones at once :ph34r:

I bought all three drones and 100 batteries today to test them (spent 30k on batteries alone). Played for about an hour and consequently spent 60 batteries. The cost of operation is 300 crystals per minute, regardless of whether or not you actually benefited from your drone's ability. You could sit in a parkour battle with the drone activated and it will still eat your batteries at the same rate.

 

First impression - these drones and batteries are basically what normal supplies used to be back in 2010-2013. Extremely expensive, very hard to get them for free, but they give a massive advantage in battles. If you can buy the drones, their MUs and batteries for them - do it and you will be unstoppable in battles, just like "druggers" back in 2012. If you can't buy them, then save up and collect batteries from daily missions, chains and containers, and use drones only on occasion.

 

The module separation is disappointing. I knew we would get the biggest protection as a standalone module, but was hoping that the duplicate protections against the same turret would all get compensated. Evidently not. Some players definitely benefit from this conversions, but I feel like many were left at a loss.

 

 

I do like the more flexible module system and having new gameplay mechanics is always nice, especially considering that I can easily afford the drones and batteries. But I feel sorry for the free players. At this point I just hope that there will be a decent amount of batteries given out in mission rewards, otherwise gameplay in Tanki will basically become what it was in 2012. I wish it didn't.

I don't even know anymore what's a lie and what isn't. So many times devs announced certain changes and either added something different tonwhatbwe expected, or didn't release enough details and kept players confused. Or just cancelled the whole thing altogether (which was sometimes a good thing). Maybe nerfing drugs was game balance, but at this point it makes me think that it was more of an "alterations" situation, where they nerf a thing and add an option to get it back again at a higher price.

I'm glad you're honest now...

 

from now on please stop telling me magnum can't have meteorite ammo because of game balance or because it will become overpowered. There is no such thing as game balance and there is no such thing as overpowered. It can be powerful, it can be very powerful and it can be more powerful than the rest but it can't be "over" powered. and there is no reason it can't be as powerful as superman.

 

of course, the above was my exagerated troll example but it applies to everything else. game balance dosen't exist so stop talking as though it does. :)

The only reason behind the imbalance is drugs.
I see every player usually has M3/M4 around my rank. Equipment isn't a problem.
The outcome of the battle is favourable to the side using more drugs.
And now tanki introduces another update which makes drugs more powerful.
Also they force many players to play non-PRO battles to complete daily missions and enjoy various events which is a clear indicator that they want the game to be imbalanced and have the buyers enjoy drugging against the non buyers.

How about they make non-PRO battles no supplies and supplies could be used only in pro battles so the people who want to drug can enjoy it with other druggers
