Matchmaking is coming May 29th

we already did, didn't we? they removed it because of the negative response from the players. 

is it a requirement for a moderator to always defend the developers even if you know there's really something wrong with the current system?

What happened last year was not a test of Matchmaking. It was a preliminary test of a new system that is to become part of Matchmaking. The system that was tested did not have any Matchmaking functionality whatsoever - it simply made a map and threw 20 random players into it. This finished system is far from it.

I tested it the first time it was release and I could not enter for two days and when I entered, I found it bad

As said above, the August 2017 test was not proper Matchmaking. Tomorrow's update will introduce a much better system.

An other update where u try to control the player and make him play battles that you wan't not what he chooses

Btw, now, you will force me to mult to complete my missions, nice ;)

 

Before, when I had a supplies mission, I could join a 1v1 and collect boxes, or join a 8v2, with already a big score for winning team, and I could collect my boxes, without being a mult.

 

Now, I can't choose my battles. But no problem, I will just collect my boxes and leave.

You're a kind mission mult. some mission mults join the losing team. :(

 

All the mission mults of the world should learn from you. ;)

Battle Fund
 
One of the most discussed subjects of MM is how battle funds will change after the update:
 
  • In Matchmaking it will be equally beneficial to play on any map -- small or big.
  • Battle score for each tanker will grow faster when completing main objectives for the mode -- capturing flags in CTF, capturing points in CP, etc.
  • In team battles the final reward for each player will depend more on a player’s role in the battle, and not on whether the player is on the winning or losing team. This way, tanker who is playing very well and finishes the battle with a large battle score will get a sizable reward, even if the tanker is on the losing side. It’ll be always worth it to finish battles.

 

really curious as to the extent of this new system..

 

 

i really hope it will be to the point whereby someone who starts from recruit and becomes a shaft camper and never does anything to help the team shall take 10 years to earn enough crystals to get m1 shaft..

Maybe wait for the update to be released and test it first?

Why?  We know what it will be like...it is inevitable.   MM will make players wait until a full team is collected to start a game...ergo longer waits to join a battle.  MM will replace players that leave from the queue...ergo getting placed on the losing team many times (maybe the new score system will help with this).  MM requires mandatory exit at the end of each game, ergo no continuity of teams.  MM will choose the map every time so in a ten minute game many players will lose the first minute or so with equipment changes...not fun and very different from choosing a map you are equipped for.  And ...number 1....battles will become all the same all the time with no changes or choices...battle after battle after battle after battle after battle...8 vs 8 on a similar random map over and over and over and over...ad infinitum.

 

We'll soon see who is right and who is wrong.  Players will tell you about MM by not playing any more or ad much.  Again, my prediction is 15000 to 18000 at peak times by August, maybe July depending on when Juggernaut is released 9this will make a splash and bump up volume...but it will fade)

 

 

I am glad they found 8 vs 8 as the "optimal" number instead of the previous "optimal" number of 10 vs 10...this will help a lot, but there will NEVER be any change.  EVERY battle will always be about the same.  I am looking forward to seeing what the battle fund changes are and how they will effect the lsing team...this might have a huge impact on playability in MM, but neither of these thing will do anything to alleviate the tedium that MM will create.

I really like the release of the matchmaking system, but there are a few problems in my point of view. Those problems are the the battle fund will not be visible in standard battles. The other problem is that team battles will be 8 vs 8. Teams are a bit too small. Please change the number of players in team battles to 10 vs 10. That would be more suitable. In DM battle, that would be a total of 20 players.

 

My favourite feature of the matchmaking system is that the battle score for each individual player(s) will grow faster and players will earn more crystals even if their team loses.

 

I am happy that the drop rate and frequency of gold boxes will be the same on all ranks and no longer depend on battle fund.

 

Will I be able to complete missions in pro battles?

The one thing that stopped me from using the battle button at all was the gigantic amount of high rank (lieu general +) battles. I don't want to play against m3/m4s and they don't want me on their team. Since battles are completely based on rank now, missions will be much easier to complete since It's a pain to find a good battle.

Make such feature, for example, if you leave a Matchmaking battle, get a ban from playing Matchmaking again for 5 minutes. And then make it grow: 1 hour, 1 day and stuff...

 

Edit: So we can prevent from players leaving the team.

After 1 week of MM you'll be waiting 5 minutes in lobby for battle to start as system looks for viable (non-"banned") players.

what if a teammate leaves the battle right in the middle? will another guy be able to join or it will be a 7v8? if the battle will continue, that means that many players will abuse it, leaving the battle right at the start, making battles more unfair...

​I'm very happy to hear this, no more M1's in M3 battles...Balanced game-play..I cannot wait to get on in a few hours and test this amazing system out for myself.  As soon as I saw this thread I was like "yes yes yes" about darn time.

I can not help, but it seems to me to be one of the worst things you've ever created, it's true that you want to make sure there are no unilateral battles, but I do not mind putting the Battle Sheet in importance, and I'd like it at least to were non-for battle still in the Battle List box.

So non-pro battles will work based on a pre-set team system. And you can't join regular battles from the battle menu, correct?

 

What if someone leaves, how will their spot be filled? Does the system bring a random player from the waiting queue or the spot stays empty until the battle ends?

 

 

Also, it would be great if everyone stops hating on this update. Last time it was tested it was terrible, and the devs admitted this fact. I'm sure what we'll witness tomorrow is a completely renovated system.

Well - highly doubtful it will be based on garage equipment - some mid-rankers might have fewer items but upgraded to M3, while many Gismos still might have m0 equipment left over from recruit days.

 

Depends on how they do the "rank-spread".

You might have a W03 saving up for that Thunder m1 on one team and a Captain with a fully upgraded Ricco M2 10/10 on the other.

Those problems are the the battle fund will not be visible in standard battles. 

With how the new system works all crystal rewards are calculated when the battle finishes, battle fund does not exist so it isn't possible to display it during the battle.

Nope, that aspect will remain the same as before. Missions in non-PRO battles only.
