Matchmaking is coming May 29th

Hello guys, here's what I think about this new "update":

positive aspects

1) battle fund distribution -> it has to be adapted but the idea is good, I was tired to earn nothing for helping the losing team...

for now... NONE!

 

negative aspects

1) boring battles -> first they have shortened the battles, now even the number of players has been reduced??? This might be acceptable in little maps, but the big ones need more players like 10vs10 or better 12vs12

2) unbalanced teams -> maybe the situation is slightly better, but it still common to find battles that are totally unbalanced, one team is full of druggers while the other not and players start to leave the match as always (maybe the changes in battle fund distribution will reduce this problem? We'll see)

3) Inability to choose the maps we like -> I find sad that we can't choose the map to play, I hope this system will use ALL the maps in this game for a better diversity of locations, but if a player doesn't like the map that the system has chosen he leave, so even if the battles are full at the beginning, tankers will continue to switch from a battle to another until they find what they like.

1) gold boxes -> they'll become more rare? More common? What mechanism will trigger them?

Ok guys I was wrong... the new battle fund system sucks! It is good only for druggers so they'll earn much more and can buy more supplies -.- In a CP I killed lots of enemies, helping my teammates to capture points, but at the end of the battle (with 300 and more points) I earned only 100-150 crystals, while the drugger at the first place of the enemy team with 400 points received nearly 500 crystals... wow :mellow:

Why did you have to look for winning team? It saves you no real time - you just had a behavoir that caused the extra time.

 

Balance? totally random so far - and - only possibly by team. Have you seen any of the screen shots of the ridiculously wide rank brackets?

The players on the lower end might be lucky to be on winning team, but for most part will not score much, and thus not get a reward.

I was constantly searching for the winning team to get more fund and avoid grinding and being spawn killed all over for a miserable reward. Joining the losing team was an utterly stupid decision. Back then I'd rather avoid the time spent on a losing team and search for other blowouts where the winning team had free space.

 

Currently it's pretty balanced if you ask me, the blowouts are there but I played in much more battles where there were counter-captures.

 

I still see the occasional M0 newb randomly joining the team but I am pretty sure this will get noticed soon enough along with some other bugs.

 

I mean I just have been in a raid of CTF battles. 6 of them and not one was a blowout, I won 2 and lost 4 but not by wide margin. And I stay in all battles because of the better fund distribution, that's probably the best part of it all.

 

 

 

And I never said it was balanced, but I knew for a long time that it would be better balanced than the old battle list. The system as a whole packed out great from my perspective.

 

I noticed the rank brackets aswell, though I don't think that will be hard to fix.

OK, Tanki needs MM for mobile...fine if that is the rationalization.  Keep this awful MM to attract the mobile market.  But here is a 

VERY EASY SOLUTION to most to the woes voiced in this thread so far.

 

Let us go back to being able to complete missions in Pro-Battles.

 

Perfect, easy fix...mobile gets the MM feature, Tanki sells lots of Pro-Passes, and players can choose to use the MM mechanic or create their own battles on maps of their choosing.

 

Oh wait, NOBODY would EVER use MM if they could make their own battles....that speaks VOLUMES on how good and effective MatchMaking actually is.  The ONLY way people will use MM is if they are coerced into using MM.

That is because of people putting their m0 alts into the group and then joining. I even tried it myself and personally it's really dumb and needs to get fixed.

One  of the reasons people leave battles is because the random maps chosen for them don't suit their turret/hull.

 

I just tried to find a suitable map for my Wasp/Shaft. This is how it went:

 

1. Waited 45s to join a  Tribute battle   :wacko: - left immediately

2. Waited 33s to join a Solkamsk battle :( - left immediately

3. Waited 50s to join a Bridges battle :blink: - left immediately

4. Waited 1s to join a Future battle :unsure: - left immediately

5. Waited 34s to join a Year 2042 battle :o - left immediately

6. Waited 1s to join the same Year 2042 battle :o - left immediately

7. Waited 1s to join the same Year 2042 battle :o - left immediately

8. Waited 41s to join another Solkamsk battle :( - left immediately

9. Waited 56s to join an Industrial Zone battle :huh: - left immediately

10. Waited 47s to join a Kungur battle :angry: - left immediately

11. Waited 15s to join another Tribute battle :wacko: - left immediately

12. Waited 1s to join the same Tribute battle :wacko: - left immediately

13. Waited 39s to join another Kungur battle :angry: - left immediately

14. Waited 1s to join a Brest battle :wub: and completed my mission.

 

And so now I've completed  my mission, it would be nice to go and relax in another sniper map for an hour, but of course I  can't do that anymore.

 

So, it's frustrating and slow completing missions, and then there's no way to go and enjoy yourself afterwards.

 

 

Whoever designed Matchmaker - please read this - it's why a lot of people will leave.

 

I'll probably leave too, but I may wait a week, just to see if you decide to can this update before it's too late.

Anyone above Colonel who has M0s should either have them removed automatically from the garage or converted into M1s for free

When you hit marshal your m1s should be converted to m2 for free

That way no one is getting a free ride, but multing is prevented.

The new battle rewards distribution doesn't feel right for for those that are in the winning team, it should be like 60% for the winning team and 40% for the losing team. Right now it feels like 52% to 48%. I like the processing though.

The losers (no offensive tone) are probably laughing that the winners tried so hard only to get about the same rewards.

But then the Finish Top 3 and Pick-up Supply missions should be removed. Crystal mission are okay now.

The majority of players asked for better reward which would be less on who win or lose, because then players on the losing team even if they contribute (support the whole team) get squat and then leaves because (noob team), consequently the losing team loose also players which then need to be replaced. Some whiners said that MM will just make players "queuing to be slaughtered" (sic) to refill depleting team.

 

MMBC's battle score are now better balanced and the scoring approach and reward make things better. Got full team all way long and no change. 

 

For ASL, when you fully kill a tank you get 10 battle points, when you participated to the kill of a tank you get 5 points (regardless they have a flag or not). When you deliver a flag you get 50 battles points (when enemy team is full). 

 

I have a perfect example: I supported the whole team and I get a better reward than the top of the winner team.

Also there is a signal to let players know when only 30 seconds are left to play. TY

Think about those disappointed players who have not join the forum to discuss the agony .

but they silently disappear from the game time by time .

 

confidence is good but overconfidence destroy

if you gathered 90% hatters in couple hours then its better to change way you think .

think again before you loose every things .

Maybe you need to clear cache, because I can enter the game without issues, the only problem is that sometimes the wait is too long,

no i dont need to, Other  people experienced the same issues....

I am very pleased that the matchmaking system was finally released, but after so much time was spent on it I am rather disappointed the developers were not willing/able to change the matchmaking screen into something more pleasing and convenient, something like in other games or TX.

I haven't seen so many full battles. And I have a PRO Pass ,so I would like to climb any wall and enjoy Parkour. But the system is cool and I thank you so much you released it. Now ,everyone will find a nice cosy battle. :) ;) :P :D B)

True, but I guess this will come packed into the new interface of HTML5 upgrade if I am with the stream.

Firstly Shaftermath, I use only shaft and most of those maps are great for shaft not just breast. I have gotten huge kd and great score on industrial zone and Solkamsk is one of my favourite maps, Kunger and tribute  are also ok, 2042 isn't that good.

 

In my opinion the update is quite good. I wasn't able to enter the game originally but thats either fixed or was some problem on my end. The games weren't always fair but were a hell of a lot fairer. The matchmaking doesn't put lower ranks on higher ranked battles either. That is to do with the group feature which allows any rank to be in the group and when they go to battle they go to the highest ranked players level of battle (to avoid m4s at recruit ranks). During the test of the matchmaking a while back I joined a very high ranked battle... and got pwned. Loading times were fine all under 30 sec.

 

Should probably limit ranks in groups, only main issue is that there is no map choice. Some maps that appear in the non pro battles (forest) is annoying as a shaft user.

Some suggestions:

  • Remove ASL so there are a little more players for the other modes for tomorrows off-peak hours.
  • Give 50% bonus to those that play during off-peak hours. If a player gets 100 crystals, s/he would get 50 more in bonus. But Premium players that get 100 should also get 50 crystals plus the other 100 of the Premium, 250 in total, not 300.
  • Determine what off-peak hours are.
  • Have some limits on the rank brackets.
  • Maybe Legends should only fight other Legends.

 

You should click on exit and try again you'll join normally

why should tanki give beginners card to legend or high ranks?

that's the point you're not legend you don't have any ex in tanki just commenting

legend vs legend? really? play the game sometime then comment on the updates

Tanki does not care and the mods are under strict instructions to remove posts containing criticism of the devs. Do not just read - complain and complain again and when they delete both of those, complain again...…..

 

This update is the product of an intellectually challenged wannabe. Vote with your feet and stop playing until they see sense

EDIT: With the Finish Top 3 mission, only high rank pros that join at the beginning by chance are the one that will complete those missions.

Previously players in the losing team were getting squat is because the process was different, it was base on one battle fund pool, now it's based on your score, if I'm not mistaken. That means that even at 60-40%, players in the losing team will get a lot more than before.
