Matchmaking is coming May 29th

The ridiculous matchmaker system just placed me against one of my best tanki friends.

It looks like goodbye tanki soon from me.

It was fun for a while.

What's so bad about sparring against your pals form time to time? You might find it fun.

 

My experience 6AM EDT today. 2 positives and 1 meh.

 

First Lieutenant alt completed a collect two repair kits mission on the first attempt. I think I got lucky on this one. I used the Quick Battle option.

 

Captain alt completed a Finish Top 3 on winning team mission on the first attempt. Again I used the Quick Battle option. I definitely got lucky to land on a winning team. I drugged like crazy and got third place.

 

Legend account had earn 1000xp in TDM mission. MEH. I spent more time waiting for a TDM Battle than I did playing. With XP turned down (and I’m pretty sure Premium XP bonus no longer counts toward missions) I could not finish the mission, even after two battles.

 

My opinion right now is that wait time to enter specific format battles is a real problem. This is an arcade game. We don’t want to wait more than a minute to battle. I found myself surfing the web while the game tried to find me a battle. When Tanki can’t keep its players focused on the game because of long load times, the future is grim.

I never expect to finish 1000 exp missions in 2 battles. Especially TDM where there are no flag carriers or CPs to generate exp. I usually view those as a 2-day mission, is I do not Change it instead.

 

In the old system I spent a lot more than 1 minute between battles looking through all the open battles to find one competitive with open slots. Or waiting for a 2 minutes game to end to grab an open slot. It just "feels" long now because you are just passively waiting, starting at the clock ticking. If MM gives me a game on average of 1 minute wait then that is a deal I will gladly take.

6 versus 8... for you, balanced means you get to effortlessly slaughter everyone? no wonder you only just got your first "balanced" game... look, we all want to be in battles with the biggest noobs of the game but.. we can't all be in them so you have to wait until you get lucky.

EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!

 

TANKI ONLINE DEVELOPERS RELEASE THE WORST UPDATE IN THE HISTORY OF TANKI ONLINE!  

 

Players observe long wait times.  Inability to choose battlefields.  Players placed in battles with disparagingly higher ranked players.  Is this the death of TO?  Will players find other more developer friendly games to go play?

 

Come on Devs...  if players really wanted the Matchmaking system they would have flocked to TankiX.  Most players went to TankiX because of the graphics.  Tanki Online was the game that if you had 15 to 20 minutes to spare.  A player could get in do a little running about and get out.  But, now this???  I have more important things to do with my time than to wait for a battle to be selected for me that I ultimately might not like.

We’ve been working on this update throughout the last year: launched open tests, collected feedback, fixed different bugs and issues. And now, finally, we’re crossing the finish line! u have been working on this update almost a year, u must be tired, wanna take a deep rest before crossing the finish line? That is a messy update, stop this joke.

 

provide fair conditions for all players; I've got a different definition of what u call it fair that i rather to keep it to myself.

make it easy and simple to find battles; Is it really easy to find battles now?

create battles with equal team composition; So that's what equal composition is.

provide easy to use system to play with friends and clan members in groups; With or maybe against friends and clan members, ha? who knows?

it was 8v8 from starting those were 2 people who left after battle ends. The reason why I said it was balanced because we were all legends in both team.

matchmaking is just so wonderful

thanks to matchmaking more people are playing pro battles... which means i finally get to play no drug battles in maps i love. prior to matchmaking the only no drug pro battles i ever saw were hill, polygon, island, sandbox, wave... today for the first time ever i saw a kolhoz no drug battle  :wub:
 finally, my favourite map in no drug mode  :wub:  :wub:  :wub:

new issue just starting .. hit battle button then removed from battle after timer  was going to take me into a battle.. tried twice and got this both times ..

 

so I tried again but this time ... get ready for this Nives and Cooper .. and yea I have it on video tape for proof... wait and I could have gone longer if I wanted to wait for to happen .

Matchmaking is not actually a bad update, needs quick look up on the team balance. Teams are not balanced and players are immediately leaving when they find a tough team to play against, A penalty system should be introduced like 100 Crystals or something like that. The rewards you get for playing well even in a lost cause are very handsome, makes it up to you. I do like this update upto some extent. However, Energizer would be a very bad idea. If you had planned on removing the protection modules, why have you introduced them anyway in the first place. My suggestion would be let the bought modules stay in the owner's garage, just as you left legacy ones.

I'm not sure if it is possible but maybe the best thing would be to have one of the devs come on the forum, just like in movies when troops are about to mutiny and a general gives a rousing speech that sounds like he has practiced it and everyone comes together magically lol. Seriously though, if they really care about the new system, they can easily calm people by giving an honest, no BS answer to the comments and explain what they are doing. I always love when bosses/authorities are honest about what is going on...if they do not, how many ppl will rage quit in the next few days?

Actually I like the idea of everyone paying, say 25 crystals to the battle fun upon entering. If they run, they not only lose those crystals, but it also rewards others for sticking around. There has to be a way of allowing ppl to leave though if the battle is hopeless from the beginning. Like if I'm the only non legend, I'm probably not going to stay to fight m4s all day, but I wont run from a battle just because were losing

​Agreed, pretty much like [member=Claudiu] mentioned in his latest video about MMS, it just needs a few fixes with a few bugs and the ranks  :P, ​not that I watch Tanki youtuber's but he's recent video about MMS got my eye :ph34r:​.

If they do it, people will moan around that it was a Pay2Win and now a Pay2Play game. The update that they introduced before, in which if one team is scoring and other team is lagging too far behind the battle will end before time. That should be combined with this update. At least players wouldnt have to wait for 10 minutes just as to get their rewards. Moreover, there should be preparation time before the battle actually starts.

They should remove ASL mode and ASL missions. Specially now that Juggernaut is coming.

 

Or how about implementing Juggernaut in a week or so.

Charge for leaving a battle? 

Do you want the player base to shrink even more than it has over past couple years? 

That's what will happen if you penalize people like that. They will just play Pro-battles or quit the game entirely.

 

They are removing all current modules and replacing them.  You will still have protection against turrets.  In all likelihood you will be better off than before unless you spent real money on game and accrued a large selection of combinations.

 

I especially like match-making where I was placed into a battle with 5 minutes left - with the score already 5-0 for the other team.

Why should I stay and waste my time in that battle??? :blink:

give the writing option in chat while waiting for the battle pls.

btw it may take some time sometimes to join a battle but seems like battles are more enjoyable now regardless of ranks.

To the criers who is upset about this update - play while you can .after the drone update "money" will play tanki .

The restart is required to ensure Matchmaking is working properly and to fix the most urgent issues.

And what was fixed exactly? I can see the waiting time is a bit faster.
 
But, I get 0 point when I capture a point if a teammate comes at the last second and cap with me during 0,5 seconds. What a huge joke. If you are 2 to capture during the whole time, it's 0 point too. Basically capturing point in CP is useless now, unless you do it alone. Now teammates push each other to ensure they cap the point ALONE, to get the points. Devs had one job omg.

(This review is written after the update)

OK, matchmaking system is absolutely trash and unfair for low rankers. Like i have seen battles which have Legends and Recruits. I recommend you add a rank limit.

The game is about having FUN!  The update is NOT FUN!

 

I don't care about the "nice" rewards.

 

I just left a battle in CP that was 50 to 0.  That's messed up.

 

Give me choice of map and choice of who I play with.  Give me FUN!

Multing is where a player places his/her alternate account (also called multiple account, short = mult) in the enemy team to weaken that team and have a higher chance of winning. It's a form of sabotage that is not possible anymore in matchmaking battles, since players are sent to battles at random. Apart from that, inviting friends into the enemy team to sabotage in battles is not possible anymore either. 

Low ranks in battles with many high ranked players is indeed an issue, but these lower ranks didn't join those battles as mults.

Not trying to be rude but why not actually PUNISH the mults? 

A "1 day ban" is a JOKE. If im correct most multing happens in higher rank battles if those mults knew they would be banned for a week they would rethink what their about to do they clearly know what their doing is wrong.

>2 weeks

>Banned

 

Sure there would still be mults but I don't think as many, but I may be wrong. Seems like tanki is punishing us instead of mults.

 

I had a mult the other day I was about to record till I checked the forum hes been banned twice for multing both for 1 day so whats the point in recording him? Waste of time.

Look, it's understandable that the developers want to implement a matchmaking system. The only problem is that they're not making it an option, they're making it a requirement to play. I have no problem with a matchmaking system so long as we get the choice to use it or not. Instead of forcing players to use MM, thus alienating literally thousands of people, why not just make it optional? Make it so that it has obvious crystal/exp advantages over regular battles where you can choose the map and battle yourself. (e.g, better rewards for the losing team). That will appeal to more people, and I guarantee that many of us will occasionally play on MM even if we're hating on it right now.

 

There's no problem with MM itself. The problem lies in that you have taken away our freedom of choice. And if it's something you persist in, then I'll be jumping ship. Permanently.
