I am sure the devs went to vacation after they have thrown the MM out there. They left the trolls to take care of us. None of the devs read our comments. It is waste of time to stay in this game.

Also it seems like you are a camper like Guido said... nice to see those magnums upset.

^my guess is that there is something behind the scenes in how the award is calculated (i.e. not just based on the numbers but also how you earned them).

Sure looks quirky though.

But still better than before the update.

.

I think it's because Tanki decides based on wins, loses and ties, not if the battles are one sided or close.

I'm bored of the sound of my own moaning voice, but it's only because I love this game so much.

I hate waiting two minutes for a game. Especially when switching to another tab or application means the timer resets to zero, so I have to sit and watch the seconds tick away.

And then how could it possibly make sense for me to wait two minutes to join a game that's already been running for five? Why wait at all?

Honestly though, with the 'old' system I think we could all work out which game we wanted to join and get to recognise the players we wanted to play with and against as opposed to those players who we didn't want to play with. Also, which maps were better suited to a particular mission set.

I'm not really sure why we have Matchmaking as some players seem woefully low ranked to join and others seem extremely proficient. It's not much fun shooting fish in a barrel and conversely being in the barrel itself.

Just saying....

Finally got a chance to test the system properly. Seems to be working somewhat fine, actually.

Although I'm not saying that all the complaints in this topic are wrong. I did test it during the day and only at the highest rank, so obviously I didn't have issues with extremely long waiting times or enemies having much better gear, but it does seem that for the most part the system does put players into battles quite effectively, and the new reward distribution does encourage players to stay until the end.

However, ASL mode is still very much broken - blue wins every single time and red captures just a few flags, if they're lucky. The 100-kill limit doesn't help either. This limit is meant to end unbalanced battles early by letting the strong team reach the limit faster than the time runs out, but even with the red team not being able to do anything, blue cannot reach 100 kills. The fact that you can't choose the team when joining ASL is also extremely inconvenient. The whole game mode needs to either be fixed or completely removed.

DM and CP are fun though, sometimes CTF and RGB too. Looking forward to Juggernaut.

Was sort of getting used to it, but this evening was a bit unpleasant:

Not a rank spread outside the limits, but one I'd never choose. I stuck around to collect for boxes for a Daily Mission and crystals for another one. A few battles on maps I hate too (Rio, Highlands), but didn't have the time to play MM roulette and get in to something I'd enjoy playing.

It's just not much fun anymore. I'd rather have a blacklist of maps and longer waits instead of anxiety about ending up on a map I don't like.

sir did you ever get any lower ranks in your battles in DM . if so what was your opinion on it.. seeing myself and others are now having to play with gizmo and marshals . yes its a good thing getting so many easy kills but completely unfair to them to take so much damage .. I do agree on Assault  mode it is not a fair balance game and we hope in time its either removed or fixed.. still don't like the base locations

I think it is fair to say MM is taking many players out of their comfort zones. That's good.

If you really are a "pro" you should be able to find a way to contribute with your main turret and main hull in any mode on any map. Sure, some modes and maps and enemy teams will be very tough going. But if you want to be a "pro" in fact not just in talk then you have to learn and experience a wide range of situations.

Players who have been playing the same small set of maps and modes day after day are probably having some bloody games and not liking it. That's natural. The players who fight through the rough patch will be tomorrows predators. The same sameness every day crowd will be the prey.

Edit / PS:

I stull am having not log on problems either using the client.  I do have the bad lag spikes at times. But as for log-on issues.... zilch.

We all play games for what? To be a PRO? To dominate? No. We play to have fun and to lose time. Only those who play e-sports need to be PROs, and those who want to be. Everyone else wants to play just for fun. If you are forced to play on maps with teammates that System choose for you, that ain't no fun. You can't even join friends in battles or see if they are (not) in non-PRO battle. Also, if someone is playing on same map over and over, it's their choice, so why not? Maybe they are mastering techniques there, how could you know?

What was promised:

  • Full teams
  • Balanced matches (similar team composition, fewer mults, no longer entire teams of Shaft/Magnum/Railgun on Highways or Brest)
  • Battle groups
  • Battles are quick and easy to join
  • Better battle fund distribution

What we got:

  • Better battle fund distributions
  • Unacceptable wait times
  • Significant rank differences between teams
  • Half-full battles
  • Better team composition

Looks like DM will not be balanced for sometime, until we see more players in Tanki.

My suggestion is to check ranks just after joining a battles and then leaving if you're a low rank.

Must be your internet, I'm usually in a battle in less than 10 seconds.

Horrible, awful, very bad no good idea.

As about 75% of your other players think, too.  I haven't seen the players online stat cross the 4000 line since matchmaking started.

I've just been turned on to a new game, also with matchmaking, but SHORT waits, great graphics, and historical realism.  Just needed a push to move on, this was a big shove.

Warthunder it is.

Hey, do you think we can stop the mindless complaining? It feels good but literally helps noone. What if, instead of complaining, we started a new thread suggesting what the devs should do. MM or not games tend to not be balanced. MM has brought some new problems, yes...we all know that, but complaining will not fix anything. If you have a suggestion of what could be done to balance out the game, I will start a new topic in the ideas and suggestions section. Lets be grown up here and maybe things can be made even better

Ooh hoo, just learned than Wargaming is messing with their "preferential matchmaking" for premium tier 8s. Evidently May is Global Game Solidarity Over MMS Month. Lord preserve us.

Another terrible update . Please get rid of it i now spend more time waiting to join battles than i do playing in a battle. When i do get there its on a map i don't wish to play on. Matchmaker is a flawed system and always will be please return to the prvious system where i could at least pick any battle format if a particular one wasnt available at the time

Yes...thank you.  Do you have any suggestions as to what they can do to balance the game if they completely get rid of MM?

So MM put me into another battle that was half-way finished.

On the plus side the other team was only leading 4-0 instead of 5-0 like the last time.

Devs - FIX YOUR ALGORITHM. NO ONE WANTS TO JOIN A BATTLE HALF-WAY FINISHED WITH NO CHANCE OF WINNING.

That's what it should be liked. However, although there are a few valid posts here, it's mainly just flood. :/

See, this is a MOD saying this, tankers.  THEY DO NOT HEAR US!!!!!

I for one am sick of it.  There are WAY more than a "few valid posts here" (every single person's experience and enjoyment of the game matters, and a FLOOD of negative opinion should seriously wake them up).  If they don't care what we think -- and this shows that they clearly DO NOT care what we think -- there are plenty more games out there that offer a lot better for their customers.
