Matchmaking is coming May 29th

There is no match making with MatchMaking.  It is noting more than the "Battle Button" being pressed for you ...except you now have a long wait for the random battle.  Teams are not matched by any discernible criteria, hell, the Battle Button did a BETTER job of matchmaking since there were at least set rank brackets (out of kilter though they might have been).

 

There is no balance...I've been in battles with 18 rank differences.  You constantly get sent to the losing team after along queue wait to face a team comprised of ranks much higher than you already ahead with only a minute or two left to play. 

 

This so called MatchMaking is getting old real fast.  It has to be the most idiotic thing the devs have done to the game so far ...and that is saying something since they have compromised the game so badly already.  I am just disgusted with this entire farce.

We won we got less rewards and loser got better? hahahahah?

Yeah I've noticed that myself, losing is not a bad thing anymore, if you have a good score and in the first place, you will end up getting better reward which is total non-sense and unfair for the other team. There is no point winning anymore, there is no reason to win.

 

During any competition, the winner always receives a gold medal or higher $$$ price than the person who got 2nd place.

Yeah I've noticed that myself, losing is not a bad thing anymore, if you have a good score and in the first place, you will end up getting better reward which is total non-sense and unfair for the other team. There is no point winning anymore, there is no reason to win.

 

During any competition, the winner always receives a gold medal or higher $$$ price than the person who got 2nd place. 

Mods will come here n will say he played better so got good reward blah blah.. If he played better he should win .. Brainless developers....

Since I didn't use the word "role" once in my post I'm not sure what you are saying.

 

Did ARTUR get a better score than everyone on your team - even though he was saddled with the losing team?

Then he deserves a better reward.

 

On a tangent... is the CP bug fixed?  During bug issue it was easy to win the game but get crappy reward because multiple players capping a point did not get a score...

This way, tanker who is playing very well and finishes the battle with a large battle score will get a sizable reward, even if the tanker is on the losing side. It’ll be always worth it to finish battles.

You have been given a 160 crystal bonus for "winning". Similarly if the bonuses of all 8 players are counted, it would be a significant part of funds.

And not all players are like you who win every team battles(Previously losing a team battle was a big loss)

Why not?   You get a premium for winning.  If you win, you should be outscoring the losers - but alas you did not.

 

If players on losing team are not rewarded for performance than you will have much shorter battles - < 5 min battles as everyone on losing side just exits game.  You will likely get less crystals under those circumstances.  How is that better?

 

next time - work harder.  :P

Winning teams get 20% to 25% more Cry for teh same exact score.  If that is "No reason to win" in your book then for the first time in my life I agree with book-burning.

Yes they should if they outscore evetyone on the winning team by a large enough margin.

 

The old system led to many well-understood and critical issues.  This system is far better.

The scoring looks crazy to me, MM is crazy, the rank brackets are crazy, the long waiting in queue is crazy, the drones and batteries are crazy, the XT skin thing is crazy, playing in off hours is almost not do-able due to the long long long waits to get into an mismatched battle...crazy, what Tanki did to modules and giving so many the shaft, as it were, is crazy (I do like the new module set-up though)...is there anything happening in Tanki that is not CRAZY...well the crazy weekends are not really crazy.

 

Actually, I must be crazy for continuing to play this messed up game...you too probably. And why haven't player numbers dropped yet?  Still around 23K to 25K at peak times....there must be a lot of crazy people.

Hello, I'd like to show you guys how I would upgrade the matchmaking for TO.

The matchmaking is what the game really needs and I have some cool ideas how it would work better with these features:

1. Map voting

When the players are found for the match the game offers different random maps for players to choose. Players can even choose the map to be random or to not vote and follow other people's choice. The map with the most votes wins.If the result is equal, the game takes one of them by itself.

 

2.Joining/Leaving the battles

Well, this is the most important point in this topic in my opinion. I have a solution - Cooldowns.

The players who never leave the battle would never get this, but if somebody does, he should get 5min cooldown period in which he couldn't join any battles. 5minutes isn't enough? If the player does leave again, his cooldown is going to be for 10minutes(5+5) now. The cooldown period resets after one week ONLY IF he doesn't do this again in the cooldown of the cooldown timer (sounds funny, but thats how it works) Also people who tend to leave battles should be matched with other people doing this.

Here are some examples to explain this:

Situation A: Player doesn't leave any battle or the game crash/internet lag etc. that makes player rejoin the battle and he does manage to rejoin - No cooldown

Situation B: Player leaves one battle - He gets 5 minutes cooldown.

Situation C: Player leaves 4 battles in row. - He gets 20 minutes cooldown (+previous 3 cooldowns)

Situation D: Player leaves 3 battles in row and then he doesn't leave any battles for 1 week and then he leaves one. - 15 cooldown at the first, after the week he gets 5minutes cooldown, as the timer has reset.

Situation E: Player leaves one battle and after 4 days (the cooldown timer has not reset) he leaves one battle - 10 minutes cooldown + the timer sets back to default (7d)

 

Players who don't leave battles often should get crystal reward booster as a gift. (Like 10-20%).Also, there could be exceptions when no punishment is given, if the player leaves the battle really rarely.

3. Warmup

There should be a warmup in start of the battle (it shouldn't be long, since tanki loads pretty fast these days :)) 30secs-1min. should be enough. (XP(not score) gaining should be enabled still, to not just waste time) After the warmup, the player position, timer resets.

4.Garage during the match

Removing the option to change equipment would be kinda unfair, but it shouldn't be avaiable for the whole match - What about 1 time per match? :)

5.Other improvements

  • The players get matched with this criteria: K/D, Equipment, Rank.
  • Leagues - Would be the main criteria above^ if added. After finishing the battle, the reward also adds or removes some league points that can promote/demote to higher or lower league(depends on the league player is in). There could be end-of-season rewards like containers to make people to push their rank and try their best. If leagues would be added, there should be casual matches for people to chill and just play normally.
  • Joining battles should be disabled for ongoing battles after 1-2 minutes.
  • If some of the players leave and joining battle for other people was disabled, the team with less players would get boost on overdrives

Overdrive really ruins battles.

 

We adapt. We learn that fir the first few minutes of battle, overdrive is not active yet, so we attack more aggressively.

 

Later, we attack from a distance and watch as the enemy either spends their repair kit and/or overdrive. The point is to bait the enemy into using their overdrive first, so that when we use ours we outlast them at close range.

I end up on the teams with too many gold-hunters.

 

It's such a treat to watch my team running around with the white star while the other team uses theirs and demolishes us.

And when no gold drops - that's the icing on the cake.

 

If OD activated itself 2 min after the star appears it would be more balanced. Alas there are too many selfish players in these TEAM battles.

The matchmaking battles are unbalanced right now because players on either teams leaves the battles and the players who left does not get replaced with new players. I though that the matchmaking system would work like the developers mentioned. That is to have a long cue of players, so when one or more players leave one of the teams, the matchmaking system automatically randomly chooses any random players depending on rank and adds them to the current matchmaking round in any random order or teams.

 

Please release another update to make the matchmaking system automatically balance out team players in team matchmaking battles as was expected by developers quite some time ago.

I think players are voting with their feet about 5000 players online right now. The game is too complicated, drones , batteries and matchmaking which I am guessing saves server time?

Please can you re-order the matchmaking battle in the correct order. Right now, the battles are in the wrong order and makes it difficult to find correct battles types quickly.
