Matchmaking is coming May 29th

I pretty much got used to MM. But when I enter the map I dislike, I quit the battle because I don't want to play in the map I dislike.

I do that but then it puts me back in it three times before I get another game.

I do that sometimes still but not nearly as often as pre-MM. Before MM I would not play Brest, Highways, or Silence unless desperate to finish a mission. With MM I play those maps when I get them.

 

Unless it is a bad map choice for my hull/turret/mission combination.Usually I will at least try though... you never know. A bad team causes me to give up on a game than getting a certain map. It is hard to score goals in Rugby when only one other payer is willing to leave the home base area, eg.

 

I still think Brest is a bad design but Highways and Silence are back to being fun and playable.

In some battles one team clearly has a Group while the other doesn't.

Last night was U-G-L-Y... one of the worst nights I've experienced playing TO in quite some time.

 

Every single game was a blow-out - experienced on this account and my alt Major account.

Closest was 5-2 CTF, and really, the score under-sells how badly that game went.

 

Hard to pin down why each battle was so lop-sided.  Might have been partly connected to groups, or just players deciding to goof around.

Don't normally leave battles I start, but - I HAD to leave some of these as it almost felt like I was playing with bots.

 

Did I mention the battles were fugly?

ODD... I had the same streak of bad luck a day or two before you.  Different games different modes different accounts... For like 8 games in a row I drew the inept team.  Yea I left some of those. Payout system or none getting spawn camped is not worth the time.

 

There will always be game like that. But you have a 50/50 chance to draw the not-inept team.  It gets frustrating when you lose that coin flip many times in a row. :)

Tanki is now entering it's true death spiral.  What a shame about these short-sighted inconsiderate developers and the destruction of a previously wonderful, fun game.  Get ready for tedium, long waits, being squirted onto the losing team more often that starting a battle, tremendous rank bracket differences, and most of all, overall boring homogenized never changing battles, everyday all the time, with no chances or choices.  

 

We have lost all choice in how we play our previously fun game...and gimmicky equipment is supposed to take the place of skilled, practiced game play.  Mark my words, Tanki is going to take a major hit in the fun quotient and thereby lose another huge batch of players...my estimate is 15000 to 18000 players at peak times by August...maybe even July.

 

its already been doomed since the Paint/Protection seperation, I just came back to pay due to nostalgia

Just left a Bridges CP battle - looked like 8 vs 8.

 

Until you look at the score.  4 min into battle and 5 "players" on my team had a score of 0.

 

Not a chance I'm playing 3 vs 8 with no hope of reinforcements.  EXIT.

I dont know if anyone had reported this problem before, but sometimes when the battle ends and I press "Continue" it takes me to another game mode e.g after finishing CP battle I press continue and it takes me to Rugby battle not to CP battle.
Is that a bug or is it trying something new?

MM in DM battles is the worst 
What's the point of putting generals to fight with legends and generalissimos in DM battles?  Starting position is already totally favoring higher ranks.  Balancing of DM battles should be done with narrow rank ranges.  One should not need to fight with M2 equip against M3 equipment (Marshall onwards).

Groups is also bad for events like Crazy Weekend, I just saw a Magnum with an Isida behind, one only killing, likely for the contest, and the other only healing, in a CTF battle, their team lost but the Magnum got a lot of kills.

What's this got to do with MM?

Sunday afternoon > 9000 players online.  Puts me into multiple battles on team losing 4-0 or 5-1 with < 5 min left.

 

No excuses for that. It's a MatchMaker issue.
