Matchmaking is coming May 29th

I think its not balancing, because on wiki is written that matchmaking battles has max 8 players in one team

I think it is safe for me to say I am used to Matchmaking. Sure I get the maps I do not want to play but most of them are alright. Yes I do get team who doesn't contribute in the match or we lose but at the same time I do get a good team with good team-work. What I began to like about matchmaking, when the battle is really good, the opposite team leave because they couldn't be bothered getting destroyed but at the same time - new players join within seconds, before matchmaking, the battle would be half-empty.

still not even battles .two many lower ranks still joining in. also clans should not be allowed to be in groups in regular battles it should be only in pro battles. .. also joining battles in less then 5 minutes of battle time is not fair . change this back so we can find 10 minute battles .

MM put me in a battle that had 4 minutes left and was 5-0 for other team.

 

I exited and waited a min or two to avoid same battle.

 

Next battle... ended 7-0 as I entered the battle.   It's just ridiculous.

yupe seen this more this weekend then last. its getting bad again. too many lower ranks again in battles along with unbalanced teams . way too many over powered matches which you have to leave and then end up going right back into them when finished . done that a lot today. ,

remember when i complained about being thrown into battles with less than 5 seconds left? yeah, I'm sorry... i take it back. i really love it, please make it happen more. 5 seconds for 1 star would be so amazing :)

This is true - last night would have been perfect.. I literally joined battle and saw the message "so-and-so captures flag" and whammo - it's over.  was there for maximum 5 seconds - not even sure I finished spawining.

I'm doing better after the update (groups on one side vs randoms in the other), even against a group. Less spawn killings.

There are still many one side battles though, luckily many times in my favor, without me using the group feature, unless my team has low ranks and the other team high ranks because of the not well elaborated system to balance ranks.

And I'm waiting for the rank update, I hope the limit for rank bracket is 4, except for groups, which shouldn't have higher ranks than the highest.

wow wait for this easy battle... How can these lower ranks compete against legend 2 fully upgraded and with drugs and protection on . like wake up and fix this MM system back to the way it was. also only battled for about 7 minutes of the match. again less battle time rip off

It's  like really really retro doctoring. You take that patient's mind off his toothache by nailing his foot to the floor.

 

Psst! Also, Yin and Yang is really a grey circle. Think about it..

 

The more players are in the "waiting room" the smotther any MM will work - not just TO's version of MM.  If one "waiting room" is divided into over 20 tiny "waiting rooms" then the complains about MM would go up by a hundred-fold. That system would fail and fail hard.

 

 

The only relevant point to MM in these screenshots is that MM set up two teams both of extremely high rank against one another.

 

The fact a bunch of Freezes ran amok or some other aspect of TO game play caused blowout battles ... these issues have nothing to do with MM.  MM set up even teams from the available players. (I assume some players left before the SSs.) The rest of it is up to the rest of the game system.

 

I think X-O is making these same points but some readers are citing the wrong Take Home message from them. This is what I mean when I say people accuse MM of flaws MM is not responsible to fix. 

 

 

 

 
You'd run into that ting in the old system too. The problem is the long-term issue of TO's (adjectives fail me) m-levels system. Different weapons and hulls unlock spaced apart by over 10 ranks at that part of the experience ladder.  That is a hard-wired weirdness no way of assembling battles in TO can avoid.
 
The nly answer is to build your gear as best you can and rank out of the "sour spot". At a different rank it will be your "sweet spot".
