Matchmaking is coming May 29th

Well i would like to say one thing i like about matchmaker but unfortunately i cant think of one thing i actually like about matchmaker.

I spend more time waiting to join a battle than actually playing in a battle. Then when it ends i have to leave or i seem to end up in a totally different format to the one i was in.

The quality of battles is no better than the previous system.

At least in the previous system i could pick a battle to be in rather than wait for a particular format to be available.

Please get rid of this awful update TANKI. You seem to lurch from one disaster to another. If you truly want to make the game better listen to what your customers do and do not want. If i wanted a dictatorship i would live in North Korea

Why does everyone have to be a "pro"?

Many just want to play for fun.  Take the fun out of it and people leave.

Having a smaller player-base is not good for the game.

Some people found MM to be fair, and for them that is great.

Last night I was plunked into a battle half-finished with my team losing 5-0.  :o

Where did I say "everyone has" to be be a pro? I didn't. But I do think most players aspire to be good player. I do think it is good for the game overall if the player base is more skillful. I think taking players out of the comfort zone makes players better than does leaving them forever in their comfort zone. I am sure there will be players who will quit rather than challenge themselves. Oh well.

Yes...thank you.  Do you have any suggestions as to what they can do to balance the game if they completely get rid of MM?

I am not a computer wizkid so No i don't have a matchmaker programming fix. So My suggestion is to get rid of matchmaker and return to the old system. Yeah sure it wasn't perfect but it was better than matchmaker, period. My suggestion like the majority of people/players/customers is to get rid of matchmaker once and for all. At least after a battle finished you could re-enter the next one now you get kicked out and have to wait all over again

Tanki online made some bad updates of which MMS is the worst

1) Bad Update 1:  Based on some forumer's suggestion - cut playing time from standard 15 to 10 mins  When 15 mins we have time to engage in talks, strategies or even challenging one another.  Even when losing , we have time to catch up and 10 flags is a magical number.  When it was switched to 10 mins, the interaction volume dropped tremendously most just focused on battles. Even devs discovered that standard number of flags =5 ends the game so fast that it was changed to 7 flags quite quickly

2) Bad Update 2:  When treasury boxes started to give us crazy amount of crystals and supplies, etc. It renders valueless the effort we made accumulating supplies and crystals.  I played a hard fought battle and won and get 400 crystals.  MY treasury box gave me 3,500 crystals just like that.  I had a hard time accumulating crystals to buy supplies.  A treasury box gaive me 125 repairs just like that.  I remove an intrinsic challenge to win and accumulate crystals and supplies from the game.  Why you all go crazy about gold boxes giving 1,000 crystal? I can get 12.500 crystals with a lucky treasury box.

3) Bad Update 3:  MMS - As mentioned by many forumers, most players have preferred maps (i play HIghway exclusively and had not played a game since MMS update started).  Most forumers mentioned it is fun to play with same teams or against same teams as being human, we always want a second chance to prove ourselves and it so much more pleasureable  when we achieve our objectives.  This human connection is sorely missed under MMS

Tanki Online made very serious errors

1) What is successful in other games is not necessary successful for tanki online.  Tanki is a 'slow' game compared with many others but thats why it is successful.  It is more realistic to real life and we engage with each other realistically. To make it fast, you better have superb graphic effects such as at one stage, we have an atomic explosion when gold boxes are dropped.  It failed and you reverted back to slow dropping of gold boxes.  Unless you change your game totally, try not to imitate others and lose out on what makes it successful in the first place

2)  Many forumers who supported this update mentioned the more equal distributions or better crystals rewards.  This is shorted-sighted as your aim is to achieve better crystal rewards at the expense of enjoyment or fun??  I had an account with 150,000 crystals and I have stoppped playing.  Whats the value of getting so many crystals per game just for the sake of more crystals?  If I lose a game , I dont mind getting 40 crystals as it spurs me to play harder to win.  Playing just for the sake of more crystals remind me of games that mindlessly just killing lots of monsters the whole day just to accumulate points to buy better weapons.

when you go to a battle which I just did and it took 1:30 seconds to join in a battle which was only 5 minutes left on the timer . it leaves nothing but bitterness towards this system..

also in the past most players voice there opinions based out of angry .after  24 hours calmer clearer opinions due come out and this is when we as players state  why and what we dislike about it . this is when real feed back comes into play... players calm down and also staff which ends in a better calmer chat room to properly discuss the topic at hand ..

not provoking anyone just stating my view point..

Not sure why you quoted me, but this is not flood. Thanks for explaining.

A few?  Seriously?

Sure my reply to you was part-joke because... your post was in fun... right?

But there's waaaaay more than a few posts that describe the short-comings of the matchmaking system.

There are way more than a few, but compared to the amount 2-6 word posts, it's impossible to find the meaningful stuff. At least for me.

See, this is a MOD saying this, tankers.  THEY DO NOT HEAR US!!!!!

I for one am sick of it.  There are WAY more than a "few valid posts here" (every single person's experience and enjoyment of the game matters, and a FLOOD of negative opinion should seriously wake them up).  If they don't care what we think -- and this shows that they clearly DO NOT care what we think -- there are plenty more games out there that offer a lot better for their customers.

(1) I'm not a mod, please don't mistake me for one, I don't wanna deal with that stress. xD

(2) Read above.

(3) Sorry if I made you feel like no one cares. Trust me, devs don't want to kill Tanki. This isn't an update which supports buyers, so you can't argue that. It's just a bad update, and it would make no sense to say "They don't care."

The more I play, the less I hate this MM.

But still, the rank limit needs to be fixed. Seriously, WO5 with Legends? It's because of the Group thing. It's for all rank. I was able to invite a Master Corporal in my group and he was in my battle XD.

I think that a Group should always face another Group. I played Yorkshire RGB and there were 4 members of the same Group. And that is not fair, because they can use discord or skype to coordinate their attack. We managed to win, but what if we face a better and bigger Group (8 clan members?).

And finally the waiting time. It's very boring. It can be 5 seconds or 2-3 minutes.

You said this "If you really are a "pro" you should be able to find a way to contribute with your main turret and main hull in any mode on any map."

What's the reference to "pro" about? I haven't seen many posters claiming they are "pro" - but you brought that into the discussion.

As more as I play MissMatching as more I don't like it. More waiting in exchange for less playing. Who can possible think that is more fun and the best since sliced bread. Sure enough not a gamer who came up with this.

Horrible, awful, very bad no good idea.

As about 75% of your other players think, too.  I haven't seen the players online stat cross the 4000 line since matchmaking started.

I've just been turned on to a new game, also with matchmaking, but SHORT waits, great graphics, and historical realism.  Just needed a push to move on, this was a big shove.

Warthunder it is.

Is that the same as world of tanks or a different one?

Easier to earn crystals now..

On average I would earn 250 crystals/game

Lets say each game is 10 minutes.

I play for 60 minutes.. (250*60)= 15,000 crystals in 1 hour.

Now lets say I play for 4 hours :$ ----> 4*(250*60)= 60k

This matchmaking system allows you to earn so much crystals in a short period of time.

250 crystals is the lowest I would earn (last place)

Lets not forget, no mults in teams, less sabotage and more variants of battles which i enjoy <3. The only bad thing is clan vs players. At that point Russian players would rekt us bad.

Fake math.  :P

60 minutes = 6 games

Then 6 games x 250 crystals = 1500 crystals.  ;)

MM as a feature on its own isn't an issue. Forcing everyone to be in MM is an issue. Winning in MM does give you more crystals but the overall experience is very different. Solution is very simple:

Give players the choice to be part of MM or not. (That's called change management. Pulling the plug like this has made alot of players shocked or disoriented.) Reward players who play in MM more crystals. Those that don't want to play in MM have the option to play in their map of choice but stick with the conventional reward system. Observe the takeup rate. If only a small % play in one of the options, then remove it at a set date.

My other issue is how this the whole MM feature is rolled out. If there are bugs (and we've been told to be patient several times), why continue to keep the system running with it? Clearly its not been properly tested. That's why the server has to be restarted all the time. You change one code and see what happens. You should roll back the feature and test it on a test platform. You are using the production server as your test bed. That defeats the purpose of having a test environment while your users are facing all this "server is going to be restarted message".

You can only say this if you're a Legend. Try playing at low and mid-ranks and see if your opinion is the same. Also play on maps you don't like.

The game is more stable now and waiting times for the battles I fought were less than 2 minutes.

I played TDM and CTF.

A lot of work is need to balance battles, but let's give them a chance. I'm pretty sure Devs want a better game too so it can at least retain players.

Hey, do you think we can stop the mindless complaining?

So now we know you're opinion of anyone who disagrees with you, Pollyanna. That's a wonderful straw man you created. You make it sound like no one has ever presented any ideas of how to make the game better, without having to institute MMS.

If they wanted a better game they'd listen to their customers. You sound like an enlightened Communist.

"Let's give them a chance."

Gotta say, just about the most communist thing I've ever heard.

A communist would say: let's take over Tanki, fire Hazel and give ourselves 10 containers.
