Matchmaking is coming May 29th

So let me get this right. You now want us to pay 250,000 crystals for protection from just 1 turret!!! Where before the update we could get protection from 3 turrets. Just let me do the math here :angry:

Stop dropping me in battles:

- with Legends

- on maps which I don't like playing

- which already started 4 minutes ago

- with a score like 4-0 (CTF) of 40-10 (CP)

 

If I enter one of the above, I will immediatley leave this battle.

 

Just let me decide where, what, which I want to play.

If the above quote isn't bad enough, now MMS wants me to battle Lt. Generals. How idiotic does MMS think I am? Oh, wait....MMS doesn't think. Someone else is doing the thinking. 

 

 

 

When the MMS was first discussed, it sounded plausible. Many players were excited about it. Looking forward to it, even. But this anticipation was built on a description that is not even remotely akin to what we were given. Mods tell us it's still in the development stage. Why the heck give birth to a 6 month old fetus that is barely viable? Let it stay in the womb for the full 9 months. These Devs make lousy Gynecologists. No, now wait a moment. This isn't a naturally conceived baby, it's a Test Tube Baby. What the Devs have done is to say, " Let's go ahead and activate the heart. We'll give it a head, arms and legs later. Oh, the brains. Yes, we need to work on that, too."  

 

Some of the problems we are having were obvious problems before it was given birth. The ranking gap is one of them. Did the Devs actually think that battling players 6 ranks above was going to be okey? Mods say this is something they are working on. This should have been looked at before the birth. 

 

 

Lt. Generals?

 

Last night my captain account was playing in Brest and getting slaughtered way too quickly.

I hit tab to see enemy - many were Generals.   7 ranks above me... No wonder I was struggling.

While I am not a fan of the new MMS, I do see some reasons why it should be kept. However, I think many of us would appreciate a few changes to the system.

 

  1. Allow players to access garage while the game mode is gathering players. This would be extremely useful for a number of reasons.
  2. Give a short priview of the map before the game starts. When MMS was on the test servers, I recall there being about a 30 second period before the actual battle began in which players could fight and kill and all of that but not have enough time to do anything substantial. But it allowed for players to see the map and opponants and choose their own tank accordingly. 

Hopefully these ideas will be appreciated, if not, whatever, I don't play that much anymore.

Just did 4 or 5 TDM battles...All very good battles. Kept hitting continue and always started battle with the guys that also hit continue(usually 3 vs 3 or so) then players were added quite quickly to battle. Nice to actually play some more TDM, always avoided it cos it was so easy to mult before.

 

Obviously this is meaningless to those that outright hate the concept, but for me at least its working better, apart from some of the matches the system throws together are odd & the excessive waiting time bug is still there...I assume its a bug cos often I'm getting into battles within 30 seconds now.

Matchmucking sucks!

 

Tanki telling me my protections are now worth more so it should cost more to MU them but has the crystal rewards multiplied? Nope, sucks!

 

Capture 3 points!! is that a General's mission?

 

Drones for drudgers, don't see the point and now I try to only play drug free pro matches so probably not a problem. Except when I get batteries as a mission reward or in a container, sucks!

 

Seeing a "legend" tanker on his side unable to turn his turret to right himself, now that's funny! :lol:

Euhmm ,

A: not all people live in same timezone as you : This game is played from Far East Russia ( which is further then furthest China ! ) all the way to USA Alaska which is actually only 100km orso from eachother . This means that practically all timezones are covered at the same time you play .

B : not all people live the same live you live ... i work shifts , also covering the 24hrs/7d a week , and when i come home i play Tanki , and this covers also 24hrs every single day in a week .  Besides that ... im probably a vampire ( in your eyes ) since im a real night person when im at home and not work and more then often go sleep at 4 or 5 am my local time .

Yes theres people awake every hour of the day or night 365 days a year working / playing or whatever . The world doesnt stop turning when you go to bed .

I am going through some withdrawals, but eventually the shakes will pass. I have remained strong, tho. Only logged in to see the carnage in my protection section of the garage. Gone is my legacy 4-turret protection module. Bye, you will be missed.

 

There are no more words left to describe how utterly horrible the misMM is as a system. On top of that, now they introduced the drones. One more huge step towards P2W.

At your lvl , more then sure . Imagine how many crystals you need even to go my lvl ... and i not nearly enough invested before in modules which i could have done but i was working on my turrets more . Leaving the drones out of the question , so looking at only my half complete set of protection you need like between 3 and 4 million crystals but then you do not have any hull or weapon at high lvl .

Before there was always a reachable target , and the modules were always the most expensive items in TO so unless you really worked on them it was a struggle .

Now , this is nearly unreachable , since once you get marchal , you only be playing or the people who go like you , or buyers which can be sooo much stronger , or people like me who did have a few modules before and got all modules at 50% now . Reachable targets are something needed because it keeps players in the game and working on something and actually reaching that target . Developers forgot that part ... now only buyers can reach those targets in a reasonable time .

I wouldnt be surprised if in the future 1 of the drones is actually a fuel drone , so your tank can drive ... so you gotta pay 300 crystals per minute to drive around in your tank .

Has there been an answer yet to why auto-finish has been removed? Why is there still 5v8 or 4v8 after this long? If you can't put or keep the same amount of people in the battle (which is reasonable because people leave in the middle of battles for many reasons and on the other hand many players don't like to be put in the mid of battles), then at least bring back auto-finish so that players that stayed can earn their funds asap and leave before any further beating.

The waiting time seems to be fairly ok at my rank now. Weirdly enough, it usually puts me into a battle within 5 seconds of waiting, but whenever wait time goes above 5 seconds, then it always goes above a minute. If I wait longer than 10 seconds I usually just cancel and queue again.

I can assure you that we do. We gather feedback weekly, if not daily, and pass it on to the CM, who in turn relays the feedback to higher up.

Since most mods are little more than cheerleaders, I'd have to question the accuracy of the reporting. Sorry.

UTC 00:19. 4.5k players online. A very low number.

TBH , last 2 days have been high nrs , since last week 2 last days unfortunate and not understandeble been the highest since a couple of weeks . But i said also before , watch nrs drop after the birthday celebration days , since i kinda expected a rise due to this . Watch the nrs next week and espescially the week after that and hope we can get 25/26k by then max . The weeks after we see a more dramatic drop due to summer + the dropdown flow due to changes + summer + less players equals less good battles equalising a much more faster drop since less then a few k players online is not worth playing .

Hey for crystals count ... yes sure great . I however like battles , give me a real fight and besides having a hard time , it improves my playingsince i really need to work .

This is fact now is my 1 of my biggest problem with MM , which i know maybe many people find stupid but i always end top 3 places in every team and prob 1st . It brings me now good crystals  , also in the losing team but ive said it before , i want battles , a war where i can provide my skills and hope for the bast that the rest of my team does the same .

Now i see much more 1 sides battles then ever ...

Waiting time improved, but none of the games is longer than 9 minutes. Still a fun killer. Lastly what is the big deal that you can pick your map. Whatever down side anyone saw, Mismatch is worse!

what ive observed is i keep getting alloted into teams with other low rankers or which sucks which makes it really unfair :( . i played for quite a while and this mathhmaking update ruined it for me. before it was really fun but i usually like short range turrets like freeze and hammer and i get put into these long range maps like highways and massacre which makes in more difficult. i know im the only one speaking here but pls either improve the mathcmaking fairness or remove the matchmaking. thanks :)

I've tried to stick at it but my interest is dropping. Last night I joined 3 CTF games (my missions were ASL and TDM but I doubt it matters anymore) and just TABbed to find out the opposing teams were all clans of legends, so I instantly dropped out. The 4th Rugby game was more balanced but on the map i least like. I stopped after that. 

 

With battle lists you can see where Clans are going mad with supplies and you avoid those games and go straight to one that looks evenly matched... I even like joining games that are 1-0 down because - if the team still has its overdrive - it's more hectic. With MM I have to wait, join and then check whether I want to play in a joyless drugging game.

 

And the fact I have yet to see any game on Serpuhov or Cross or Industrial or Alexsandrov - my favourite maps - and instead end up in maps I either find bad or just dislike (Kungur, Silence and any map with castles and my least favourite Tribute)

 

In short - the mults ruin tanki but at least you can see active games where mults are not playing. With MM there are no mults (except there will be when groups catch up) but the real problem is the fun has been dragged out of it. 

 

I'm sticking around but my playing will continue to drop off until I forget about it altogether.

There is a sign that the devs are considering the removal of Matchmaking (MM)... after not playing MM for days, my weekly mission progress has not been reset, as they are probably trying to determine the damage that they may have done with this roll-out of MM, and in fairness are trying to give players a chance to retain mission progress, whether, or not, they keep MM.

 

I will reiterate an earlier post... If you want the devs to scrap MM and return the game to a fairer, more enjoyable status, you must vote with your voice in Forum...

The devs do not want to ruin the enjoyment of the game and they will come around if we let them know, but if we continue to play MM, the devs can only assume that the majority of players like it or are adapting.

Thought that I would include this post that I made yesterday, since it related a bit  to your own StagBeetle. The Devs will not get the point if we keep trying, and so far, mission progress will not be effected if you do not play MM. I do not know how long that the Devs want to keep giving mission progress a break, but even if you lose progress, at least you do not have to force yourself into playing a crazy, lopsided game  ;)

And another thought comes to mind. Today i waited 3 minutes to join a battle that had 6 minutes left to play. The opposing team were already 6 0 in front so already i knew what kind of battle it would be. Pathetic!

10 minute games are not fun or even  exciting.....6 minute games are just a waste of time  AND QUITE FRANKLY TANKI IS ALSO BECOMING JUST A WASTE OF TIME!

What happened to the long 2, 3, or even 4 hour battle that really were exciting. What happened to just being able to scroll quickly through the battle list to see where friends were, what happened to being able to pick and choose which map you wanted to play on? 

I'll tell you what happened TANKI developers forgot the basics of customer relations....GIVE THE CUSTOMERS, THAT WOULD BE US, WHAT MAKES US HAPPY. Instead they turned into dictators telling us what we must do and what we can and cannot have. TANKI IS NOW A PAY TO WIN GAME 100%

YOU HAVE TAKEN ALL THE FUN OUT OF PLAYING and quite soon the memory of this game will fade away as i find another online game. ADIOS AMIGO'S

Hello Nives,

 

So it has been a week since the MMS is introduced. And I have played many battles and I would like to share my experience.

 

  • The teams are much more balanced than they previously were but sometimes it just happens that two buyers get in the same team and use continuous supply of drugs forcing other players to rage-quit after 3 minutes of gameplay. The system does send new players but they take a minute or two join by which 50% of the battle is over and enemy team has taken a strong lead.

The last two people in my team were sent in battle during the 4 minute mark but they took a lot of time to load resulting in a biased battle where we were spawn killed (6 kills 17 deaths). 

Please try finding some solution for such problems.

 

 

 

 

 

  • The battles are reduced to 10 minutes. Well this makes the gameplay interesting however tankers take a minute to load(not me but many ) . I have a suggestion for this - Preparation Time. Battle will begin with 12 minute time, 2 minutes for preparation. Opponents can't shoot or kill each other or they can but they can't cap flags , score goals nor their kills count in TDM and Assault mode. However their personal score would increase. Real battle will begin once timer hits 10 minute mark

 

 

  • And the maps - MMS removes the option for us to choose the maps we want to play. However every tanker hates a map or two so much that they are determined that they will leave the battle if they are sent in those maps. And this causes waste of time. I would suggest to add a blacklist for maps(maximum of 2 or 3 maps to prevent abuse of system ) . The MMS does not send us in those maps present in blacklist.

 

 

Apart from these , I loves MMS - and it has made me leave DM battles (the equal fund distribution does justice) and get interest for team battles.
