here is where you discuss the stuff you experienced from your travels to places far away (at least a different country)

I'm gonna start..

I've been to many countries in western europe cause I'm a hobo who walks around cause i got nothing better to do (and I'm anti capitalist).. it's pretty much the same everywhere but I found Holland to be the king of wth. First time i went i happend to witness their gay pride parade... if i said what i saw i'd get banned for breaking the rules but they were seriously out of their minds. I quickly got the hell out of that country.. but afterwards i met nice dutch people in my country and other people who went to holland told me that not all of them were like that so i went again.. this time i had barely crossed the border and was sleeping my first night there ( for my second trip)... something happened and i had to defend myself. This guy wasn't ducth tho, some immigrant.. i got the hell out of there again nonetheless.

I still listen to ducth music like epica... and i have dutch friends online who seem normal, even more normal than me... but i'll never understand how... the dutch people i know and the dutch people i saw are actually the same kind of people from one country.

A few days ago I've got the most exciting experience on traveling. I went to a forest and it was amazing the way the forest was. Then I went into a mountain and I wasn't able to go on top of it, so I went to New York and then to Tokio and Moscow and then I went to another forest and into a cliff and then back to Tokio and London... on Google Maps

Ahhh, you clearly picked the right time and place to visit..;p While probably everyone knows Amsterdam, there's so much more to the country.. and a lot less extravaganza too.

There is already a topic. "Places you have been recently"

That topic is called "Pictures from places you've been to", which is to share pictures and not so much discuss your experiences. Similar, yet different enough.

well i walked ( with my legs and not by train, car, bus or plane) there all the way from Belgium so i did visit other parts before that.. no offense but, i found that the further i got from the belgian border the crazier the people got... :P I had not intended to stop at amsterdam, i was just passing by when the crazyness hit the limit and i couldn't take it anymore..

anyway you got any places to recommend? You're really nice so I'm sure wherever you're from it can't be too bad..

I prefer the more rural areas, like the south-west, or the east of the country for example. I have no idea what kind of things you like doing/seeing though so it's not easy to recommend any places.

I wanna add up myself to the conversation but I never visited another country.

You mentioned..;p Perhaps in the near future you'll find yourself in the position to travel abroad. Maybe even just for an internship for example.

My experiences with traveling to other countries have generally been awesome, with the exception of Malta. It didn't have anything to do with the country though, it's a beautiful country. The day I left home it was snowing, so the planes couldn't land at the airport. We could eventually take a tour bus to another airport and I landed in Malta with a 5 hour delay. The day I arrived it was around 16 degrees Celsius and it was sunny. Then for a whole week, it was historically cold, it rained, it hailed and some Maltese even claimed it had snowed. The day I returned home, guess what? It was sunny again, with temperatures around 16 degrees.  <_>

yeah... south west... so what i said is true.. the closer to belgium the lass crazy :D

well firstly i prefer places where the police don't really do much.. cause i need to take transport without paying (in france they don't call the police) .. also i need the place either where they don't call the police if they catch you stealing food(like france) .. otherwise some place i get get quick work where they pay in cash, preferably the sort of work doesn't contribute too much capitalism. all this is if i want t stay there for more than a few days and not just pass by.. unless i find romanians, cause i speak a little of their language, whenever i see them in other countries i ask them how i can get stuff.

now what i like,, i don't really like talking to strangers so I'd prefer somewhere where the people aren't friendly. I like climbing mountains and going in rivers.. hunting for food (i know it's illegal so i prefer a place where the police don't catch you) visiting old places too.. but not places open for tourism, rather some old castle no one knows about.

I like winter and snow so much. I never experienced a snowfall in real life though. We're having heat waves here in Pakistan right now. 46°C and I'm having my annual exams. Today was my third exam. It's too hard cause I go to examination center by public transport

just join the army and you'll be able to do what he can.. only problem is that you might get killed in war before you get out to travel so... try to get a position with a low risk of getting killed.

it's actually a very good idea. All of my brothers are forcing me to join army and maybe I'll join it after an year.... My college studies will be completed after an year and then i will be able to apply for the post of 2nd lieutenant in Pakistani army. Joining army is like the only way of getting quality life here in Pakistan....

But, I personally think i might not be able to join army because I'm not fit... Army training is so strict you know.... Yeah you would surely know.. but i consider myself a weak boy to join army.. but my brothers say that I'll be healthy after joining army.. They would make me healthy.. let's see where my life goes..

directly 2nd lieunetant? you already passed some test in a military school or something? or maybe you got a degree in medicine and get to become a medical officer? or maybe through some other system that doesn't exist here?

yes, army will make you a lot fitter, but you usually have to already be fit to join.. but if you're gonna be an officer then you don't really have to be that fit..

just remember, if you wanna travel then don't stay in there for long, you'll probably get killed before you know it and won't be able to travel.

Direct 2nd lieutenant if we get good percentage in college, and pass medical fitness tests. I never joined a military school (it's called cadet college here)

And I guess I won't mind if I get killed... I'm just 17 (actually I'll be 17 this 24th of June).. I'm just 17 and I haven't fully seen the cruelty of this world yet. So, I guess it would be good if I die before the age of 20

okay that's interesting..

okay that's up to you.. but, dying for the army is something i feel is very stupid. usually the state needs some things to be done for their own corporate intentions... and for that they need some people to take the bullets so they just send people to do it like that. there are better ways to die, but of course for you if you die it all ends so it doesn't really make a difference how you die.

I like climbing mountains and going in rivers..

The Netherlands is pretty much as flat as can be. The few 'mountains' we have in the south east are not really high enough to climb properly.

I don't mind winter, let alone snow. What I do mind is packing for decent weather and then ending up with a cold and rainy week..;p

So what's holding you back from traveling? Yourself?

We sure have a few lakes here and there where you can fish, but don't expect them to be that big. xD

Well you know... den ACHTERHOEK; Doetinchem city, Aalten, Ijzerlo and Beltrum The mid-east of Holland.. definitely places to visit :D

Based on my experience: Anything but the hipster town of Amsterdam but that's just my opinion.

Mr.Guido should also visit the Zwarte Cross when he's in Gelderland.. that'd be my top recommendation.
