Nothing can save them, infact, I have left and only come during the holidays. I sometimes sit on the forum now. After I played Transformice and Fortnite, I have been enlightened and now see how bland of a game tanki is.

Roll out overdrives and start advertising the game. I personally don't want overdrives, but if it saves this game go for it.

One thing, really:

Listen

To their players. Develop ideas alongside them and communicate with them as much as possible before implementing updates

That will keep most of the people who still play, but to bring in newer gamers, they'll probably have to advertise some

Tanki is dying, unless they stop buying and replace it with something else, nothing can stop tanki's downfall.

I guarantee if nothing changes in five years tanki will be like completely dead

Sorry, i was sarcastic, but 5 years is not fast. Plenty of time to get more fun.

Well i dunno, if the devs want to be running this game for the rest of their lives then I think 5 years is kinda fast

Most people will probably leave in a year tho if things don't change

It depends. Players see only their own point of view, which is very limited and destructible for TO as a business. In my short career, I have already learned and experienced one simple thing, it is so valid, that there is no place to negotiate this truth: a business is a business, not a "charity". The moment you start to do charity with your business (e.g. feel pity for players of a game asking for free supplies in our case, just as a small example) because you confuse the two different concepts, you are on a losing hand.

Now, back to more specific details, I keep seeing players stating they are quitting the game, that others 992837492383720938209 have been quitting the game already. Maybe, but what they don't see and what they don't know, are others 99283749837439833892 things - e.g. how many *new* players are joining the game, how many of them are customers purchasing TO services with real money, so on.

Imo, Tanki is already successful enough. I know most of you will totally disagree with me - but a very well organised department of Tanki is - Front End Support Team - it perfectly runs according to ITIL (checked/verified it so many times). I would be glad to nominate this professional team in any international best HelpDesk contests - if there are any.

In order to grow success there can be many different strategies - attract private investors, sell the business to a bigger one (MSN, Oracle), or fusion with them in order to gain more players, or target higher age players in order to gain more customers, keep up to date with tech changes, adapt, innovate, vision. Target more channels (e.g. whats tanki already doing - mobile version) and first of all, as Hexed already said, "advertisment". Advertisment is the soul of commerce. McDonalds itself is every day on the streets, landing flyers, on the radio, on panels, all over, but it is every day, everywhere.

@ @fe4f3 : Is this answering your question?

Tanki was already successful when it first came out, running for somewhat 9 years that's pretty darn good for a game from 2009. Tanki's time is over now there is no way it's going to keep up with all these other games now days. it's simply a good games time to fade, it had a very long run and has put a huge part in some of our everyday lives, but Tanki has had it's time and we'll have to look for new things to do in life, or watch it completely fade away ;p, all it can pretty much do now is update and see how many players still come in and out of it for the next for months, or years. The game can last somewhat longer like some of the comments in this thread if they do some advertisement  :P

I thought about that too but if that is the case, the topic might not be useful. There is a whole sub-forum named “Ideas and suggestions” for that.

Well if I posted this topic as a suggestion i'm not sure it would even last a day before it got taken down. You could probably post it though cause the mods actually like you not me

Well, its a considerable post.

Tanki can be successful:-

  1. Tanki Needs to Nerf Buyers. They Overpowered buyers massively in late 2014 and early 2015 after which the game   lost 70% of its interest.
  2. They need to remove matchmaking. This update Sucks bad. i don't need to explain. Spread The Word- #RemoveMatchmaking
  3. Better System in Events. Right now the Events are a resting place to auto-clickers who are available at that time.
  4. Bring back Old Sales and Crazy celebrations. Well, Tanki Removed big sales and events in last few months. We havn't seen much Sales and like X5 or X10 Battle Funds and Increased Golds in 2018 [and even something like black friday]. Bring them back.
  5. Bring back old Maps. We need old Madness Map Back! Also we need back the small and big maps like Island, Duel, Sandbox, Cross, Madness, Dusseldorf, Lost Temple, etc. in our Battle list!
  6. Well they should Advertise more and stop bringing Huge Updates anymore. They make the game a bit Confusing for newbies.
  7. Protect new players from Second, third, fourth Accounts of Experienced, Huge druggers and buyers.
  8. Nerf Thunder, Smoky, Viking and Dictator. (Dictator cuz it takes all golds)

Importance Meter

8-10 Extremely Imp.

5-7  Very Important

1-4 Important

Well that's all for Today!

Have fun. :D

Nerf the buyers?

Well, let's take a look at that....

Nerf the buyer and the advantage gap closes between the buyer and non-buyer.

If the advantage for the buyer is negligible, then there is no need for anyone to buy.

If no one is buying, then TO personnel doesn't get paid.

If people don't get paid, why should they work for free?

Would you work for free?
