Spurger's thoughts are echoed by many of us who play and even more of us who have quit because of the track record Tanki has. Having been around for a long time, it would not surprise me that Tanki decided to release this unpopular update before the biggest sale of the year. They could be connected, they could not be. It's naïve to say matter-of-factly either way. But they are a business and wouldn't it make sense to do so?

Please tell me what releasing MM and having the annual TO birthday celebration at approximately the same time will do, even if it is intentional. Will it make players like the update? No. Will it quell criticism? Of course not, the MM topic has garnered 106 pages or replies, mostly complaints, in less than a week. So I do not see the relationship. Spurger would call me obtuse. Perhaps you won't.

 

Bear in mind that many are really upset by these updates and try to see from their point of view also - it is no exaggeration that Tanki has misled many and let those down who have invested most in the game. Don't be surprised to receive blunt words back. Don't do the developers' apologetic work for them.

What really annoys me is that players somehow think MM will be rolled back. This will never happen. Whether players like it or not, MM is the future of the game. The devs were well aware that MM would be met with a largely negative response. Yet it is necessary to get Tanki out of its niche state and make it a more "modern" game. Yes, TO really ruined their first impression and the first few days of MM were a disaster. But now these issues are being ironed out. I hope that with time all of the issues are fixed, and players will look past the immediate disadvantages of MM and also realize the advantages. It is in the interest of the devs to keep the game populated. We players tend to think the devs are stupid AND that they think we are stupid. It's not really how it is.

It's not a question of what it will or won't do. As I say, we are in no position to make conclusions. But as I say, if it were me rolling out an update, I'd probably put an unpopular one just before the sale. Makes most sense to me! Good move by Tanki if that is what they did.

 

​No one is saying your point of view is unjustified, but do correct me if I am wrong. Those on here are complaining to Tanki in the hope that they might notice and, for once, act on it. You are confusing disagreement with being unempathetic. Let's agree to disagree on this update, that's perfectly fine! - but when someone points out how they feel or what their perspective is, must you call them out on it?

I actually am beginning to agree with you on this - I don't mind the change. But as always, the point is that you must respect the opinions of others too. We can debate all day on whether we think MM is a good idea, but we will not be debating fact, but perspective. And perspectives differ, that's life. If a differing perspective is enough to annoy you, that will pose a problem for you down the line. As I said, it's a matter of expressing views on here. If you don't like what you see, it's not always your place to call them out on it.

Why does every battle need to buy the Pro-Battle Pass now?! 

Reading this makes me wonder, are you aware that you can still play battles without buying a PRO pass through the matchmaking system?

In order to access those battles, you have to press the green button at the top of the battle list that says 'Battle!'. Then the matchmaking panel will open, click on any of the 'Play' buttons to enter battles without needing a PRO pass. Do keep in mind though that you will be taken to a battle at random, so you can't choose the map or team.

Why was Halloween more exciting than this...like come on we had a new map, increased gold/fund rate, sales on everything. Here we have 2x funds shop discount, garage discount on everything except paints (like wtf one section is left out?), no gold rate increase, no special map (AND we gotta deal with MMS). Seriously it's the birthday of this game and Halloween is just a candy-reaping holiday, it's not even religious lol

 

If you guys wanted to hide MMS by giving out epic sales why would you not make them like really awesome instead of like a minor holiday.

Good holiday for my main (mostly garage paints and some MUs), great holiday for my alts

 

M2 Twins alt gonna snag Stable Plasma alteration, M2 version of Rail, Thunder, Fire module, and bump existing MUs to 9/10. This guy is going to be a beast at Captain.

 

M2 Firebird alt is already a beast at First Lieutenant but will also bump his equipment to 9/10 MUs. If he makes Captain before the Module update, he’ll buy the M2 Rail, Thunder, Fire module for free.

 

Last but not least, my M2 Isida alt is in the same boat - 9/10 on equipment but with enough crystals to maybe add Dictator M2 to his garage.

not buy the sound of it . if you remember  how the new paints cost was nothing got changed in prices but went up higher. these drones seem to be another high over cost item . which we want to or don't want to buy into them . its our choice to do with them as we wish.. sure some will try but then in time they will stop just like other items which have been implemented into the game over the years and where are they now .. either not used or have been removed. and the items we use the most end up also getting removed to bring in stuff that have no use in the game
