Testing of Drones, separation of modules

Why do we need drones? Already there is a lot of pressure on players to drug, so why not make drugging even more powerful?

They call it innovation I call it devaluation..

OK...I can play without drones (I hope so) but these new overdrives will seriously destroy Tanki. I hoped they would not be added but it seems that devs want to make this game unplayable for free players. This game was always good because it was so simple...but 7 different overdrives depending on HULL? Nooooooooooo...at least that modules could help me-I will make Railgun-Shaft-Thunder module and some insane druggers with drones and hull overdrives would kill me from 10 metres while camping with Titan Shaft.

 

There is only chance to save this game. Remove drugs, overdrives and modules and make this game skill-based (I mean combat skills, not drugging skills-push 2,3,4 to win).

Permanent equipment gets taken over by consumables; we're hiring power to stay competitive / counter the other's drones and supplies.

What's next.. Fuel to power hulls? Ammunition to fire turrets?  An alteration to reduce the battery drainage?

 

WOW how about Module split up into several modules of modules that have to be payed by batteries that enables all drones right?

I mean what if we call the module: ULTRA DRONE MODE Perhaps to activate this mode you need to have SUPER BATTERIES.

 

Ohh ohh ohh wait hold on... those batteries should have alterations too! Like an eco mode or power mode for even more power but drains faster aswell. Ofcourse those seperate alterations on super batteries are upgradable aswell.

It seems like we will have to upgrade single protections rather than being allowed to upgrade them as a whole module set.

 

In the turret descriptions, it refers to their characteristics as well as what distance range they are. In the hull descriptions, it mentions overdrives as well as it's classifications.

Of course the new protections will be ungraded singly. Why wold anyone ever think differently?

 

Uhg. The hul overdrives will be a fiasco., No way they are going to have those balanced.

 

So what happens with legacy protection modules that have protection for four different turrets? I did pay money for the crystals to be able to afford the paint back in the day when paints and protection were bundled up.

And you used it for years. Now it will be converted into 4 single modules you can mix and match any way you want. 

 

So we need to use a consumable in order to power another consumable that makes the current consumables more powerful?

One too many consumables in there. :) You need a consumable to power a permanenet item that makes other consumables more potent.

 

IOW TO has introduced a more complicated drug use system. Some players asked for that for a long time.

 

What about the people who spent 125k-250k on the new protection modules? Waste of crystals.

You mean like me?  How did I waste crystals?  I used the modules. Now agfter tomorrow I will use the protections I bought. But I can combine them any way I want.  This complaint is simply untrue.

What permanent equipment has been taken over by consumables? A new piece of equipment will use a new consumable. That is not the same thing.

Call me petty, but I don't really like having to go through all 13 of the single modules just to upgrade and check up on them.

Perhaps if there was a list showing us the current progression of each micro upgrade(s) we make for hulls, turrets, modules and drones.

Hulls and turrets + their alterations.

 

Not drugs, not overdrives and not drones and their batteries.

So looking at the drones effects, there are three and I am really excited to see the new roles that these will create.

 

Mechanic Drone: The ability to repair yourself and it seems ppl around you, will add a new aspect to defending...Used with skill I expect it will make some defenses stronger

 

Assault Drone: This one I am probably going to use most, as it will keep me from having to use too many drugs. Keeping supplies active will allow skillful attackers to be more effective.

 

Trooper Drone: This one though I think will be the best for the game. So many games are over when one team explodes into the enemy base with all supplies active and then spawn kills everyone. Now, teams can stop and drive back those assaults with their own supplies activated. I think this should be used by anyone who does not have many drugs

Drones are a money pit. They cost too much to operate, and maybe benefit hardcore buyers but not very efficiently. 300 crystals per battery? To reset drugs whenever you kill an enemy tank, for one minute? You are obviously better off spending those 300 crystals on 6 supplies. The only exception is hardcore druggers whose only drugging limit is cooldowns; it will provide a marginal advantage there.

It remains to be seen how many batteries one gets in daily missions though.

each module microupgrade step should at least be divided by 3

TBH i am not really a huge fan of the drone update 

They are cool, but cost too much IMO. Plus batteries aren't rewarded in weekly chains so they are technically hard to come by. The good thing is they don't offer that great of an advantage.

I received 0 batteries. You needed to have like 12+ M4 modules to receive them. They way they did it makes sense but most player's feel like they were cheated, I must admit I do a little too. They could have just given out 50 batteries to players who lost a lot of protections, it wouldn't have really hurt the Deves. Plus if they did it might get some addicted to batteries and make them buy.  :ph34r:

Yes, weekly chain rewards decreased and batteries added.

So net loss if you don't use Drones.

 

And Mods will once again point out that weekly rewards have been increased.  <_<

Issue is...

- that is old news and can't be used in perpetuity for every downgrade they do

- everyone gets that benefit - so those who use drones come out ahead.

 

Will have to see if the "free batteries" are enough... cuz at 300-a-pop it could be costly to use Drones.
