Drones, Batteries and Modules Update

No one thinks your a fool. These modules are indeed pretty expensive compared to what single modules costed before the update. However, think about what you could do with single modules prior to the update and what you can do with them now. Now, buying all the m3 modules will cost you 3.5 million crystals and you can make any combination you want. Before the update, you could buy all the triple m3 modules at a price of 15.3 million crystals and you still wouldn't have all the possible turret combinations.

Its easier said 3.5 million crystals then to accumulate them.

You don't sww the real picture.

Say I buy medic now which previously gave me 2 gud protections i.e. Twins and thunder and now against isida.

So when I am lieutanant general I buy medic with just 1 m3 protection and rest my garage has not even 1 m2 protection as well.

So basically till the time I reach marshal I won't even survivie in battles with m0 and m1 protections whilst other enjoy m3 protections againt my isida.

SO basicaly its just a disappointment for me indeed.

Its becus the cooldowns are no longer resetting as soon as you die.

So no longer can u self destruct to get all you supplies usable again.

Mainly cus of mechanic drone.

Dev A: Oh no, we are running out of budget, what should we do?

Dev B: Well, we can introduce another P2W system, which this time, you are going to spend more than what you actually gain.

Dev A: That sounds lame... Do you think players will actually fall for that?

Dev B: That is indeed lame, but you know what, we have a bunch of kids who will burn their or their parent's credit cards, so no worry.

Dev A: Then let's start working on the 3d models, these will be used for another 9 years, like the supplies, so make them look pretty.

Dev C: Wait a second, what about the XT skins? I thought we have been talking about this for months?

Dev A: Screw the skins, they won't gonna look pretty enough in flash/HTML 5 for kids to buy it anyway. The drones are gonna make much more money then the skins.

If i'm to upgrade a certain M2 module to M3 (35%), do i get it for for free ?

Turns out my second account got a fully mu'ed m2 module in the conversion (was mars LGC), so the answer to your question is yes, you will get the next modification for free:

You are right, players who bought certain modules before the update will have an advantage over players who didn't.

Did anyone else get any of these? Equates to 1200 hours worth. Not sure I want to play anymore though.

Mentalist Champion explains the logic of developers, lets start. Ok we all know they want more money, fine but there will be less money because players are leaving and why, because they always make trash updates. Even tho why should players spend money now if you look at tankis tragedic health. Ok Ok now dont delete any of my comments again because we are free to share our thoughts. This update trash anyways another P2W idea. They will probably make another Giveaway tomorrow to calm the players down. The Prize will be 1O batteries for 5k kills LOL.

The FIASCO continues to roll on out. . .

I have now seen about 20 daily missions. Not a single one of them rewards Batteries. No Batteries were given in the conversion. So 100% of batteries must be purchased at a cost of 3,000 Crystal per game played.

I just logged on to my lowest ranked account. This is a Colonel that had 3 m2 triple modules and 1 m2 single module. It now has 8 prtections at m2 .. OK fine... it had redundant Striker protections.  But now it needs 6 protections at 100,00k EACH.  That is 300k even on a 50% sale and hat is before MU costs.

I could have bought these 6 protections on single modules for 20k each yesterday. Even at full price that'd been 120k not 600k.

The fact TO did not give us direction on how to adapt proves they did tis in an attempt to wring money out of the player base.  For a 5x incease in osts tehy should have givn the player base some hints at least on how to prepare.

Not ot mention the naked flat-out LIES about giving out batteries.

Criminal.  But it's Russia right? Laws schmaws.

Got 50 from containers.

Yeah I was about to buy those 1100 batteries then I thought it would again feed the devs so I will keep my crystals to myself.

I bought all three drones and 100 batteries today to test them (spent 30k on batteries alone). Played for about an hour and consequently spent 60 batteries. The cost of operation is 300 crystals per minute, regardless of whether or not you actually benefited from your drone's ability. You could sit in a parkour battle with the drone activated and it will still eat your batteries at the same rate.

First impression - these drones and batteries are basically what normal supplies used to be back in 2010-2013. Extremely expensive, very hard to get them for free, but they give a massive advantage in battles. If you can buy the drones, their MUs and batteries for them - do it and you will be unstoppable in battles, just like "druggers" back in 2012. If you can't buy them, then save up and collect batteries from daily missions, chains and containers, and use drones only on occasion.

The module separation is disappointing. I knew we would get the biggest protection as a standalone module, but was hoping that the duplicate protections against the same turret would all get compensated. Evidently not. Some players definitely benefit from this conversions, but I feel like many were left at a loss.

I do like the more flexible module system and having new gameplay mechanics is always nice, especially considering that I can easily afford the drones and batteries. But I feel sorry for the free players. At this point I just hope that there will be a decent amount of batteries given out in mission rewards, otherwise gameplay in Tanki will basically become what it was in 2012. I wish it didn't.

I wish I'd known that the cost of the module I was thinking about buying in the sale (I'm a casual and average and non-buying player, so I can barely afford one module, forget about several) was going to triple. Buying three of the new M1 singles costs as much as many M2 turrets and hulls.

which is best drone? pls say guys...

I'd say Assault. That is if you're good at getting kills and use a lot of supplies. Every drone is useful in some way and it depends on your play style. To you I'd recommend Trooper.

=== DRONES, BATTERIES, MODULES EXPLAINED ===

Hi, everybody.

We've posted a video on how drones and batteries work, and also how the module conversion was done:

Please watch with the English subtitles turned ON.

How disingenuous. They promise batteries implying eeverone will gete at least a few to test-drive teh new drones.

Instead almost no one gets batteries because the conversion was done on a cost basis.  But here's the SCAM.  TO hiked up the cost of the news system 3x to 5x.  So of course you are not going to get credit when they just hike the cost on one side but keep it the same on the other side of the equation.

Not only is this a scam it is flat out STUPID. As mentioned TO imlied everyone would be able to get rolling on drones because developed accounts would have a few batteries to start.  Now we do not.  So we have to buy tens of thousands of "Cry in drones and batteries to see if we even like the system.

On top of that TO LIED AGAIN when they said Batteries wour lbe given out in daily missions.  I have seen 20 or so mission s and not one has had a Bateery reward.

This is such an obvious roll out of a P2W concept it is amazing. I say amazing because up to now TO has seemed very good on the P2W issue.  Looks like free players like me are soon to be extinct.

...

I do like the more flexible module system and having new gameplay mechanics is always nice, especially considering that I can easily afford the drones and batteries. No Batteries are being given as rewards. Zero.  TO lied to us again. It's a Russian thing I guess/ Why tell the truth when you can lie?

It's not final yet. They might add batteries to weekly chains or the individual missions.
