Drones, Batteries and Modules Update

So, yet another dream for druggers and specially buyer-druggers. Overdrive already is upsetting the gaming immensly and instead of fixing or removing that, the devs introduce another drug-related "improvement"? You got to be out of your minds! TO is again taking a huge step towards P2W game.

I am going through withdrawal but eventually it will pass.

Where was the vote ??

I don't think there was a place to vote, but they he said that there were more requests for it than against it.

@Golfinray

I have personally sold exactly 0 drones, but if you're talking company, they are popular.

So far, we have seen more requests for batteries from modules than to remove drones.

You see, he's saying Drones are popular.

"So far, we have seen more requests for batteries from modules than to remove drones."    is a bit misleading.

Many players lost a lot when the module "break-up" was done. I think those "requests for batteries from modules" has more to do with receiving some sort of compensation than it does with hating on supporting drones.

Still. Old players are veteran, they were here at the beginning of the game, they deserve something. But devs took away everything from veterans. Rare paints, LGC modules...

Paints like moonwalker shouldn't be in containers, and I agree with that. But LGC modules are something that affects game balance, particularly being an advantage that newer players will never achieve.

They weren't compensated for as extra MU steps. They basically checked what your highest % against each turret was and took that percentage over to the current single modules. Those are the percentages you now have in your garage. Then, they calculated the total value of all the modules you had before the update (1), compared that with the total value of the modules you currently have (2) and if the value of (1) is higher than the value of (2), then the difference is converted to batteries.

That is because the total value of your current modules (after the update) is higher than the value of all the modules including micro-upgrades you had before the update.

I don’t understand how the calculation has been done. I had quite a legacy collection, consisting of Africa, Clay, Zeus (f), Picasso, Raccoon, Rock, Nano, Prodigi (f), Taiga, Jade (f), Hive, Emerald (f), Mars (f), Irbis(f), Red Suit (f), Sandstone (f) and some others. The LGC-modes with a (f) were fully micro-upgraded, Rock was 23/24, Clay was 26/30, Africa 6/15, Taiga 13/15. Furthermore I had two fully micro-upgraded Triple modes, Ursa G, Griffon G and one Single mode Spider A. If I count the cost of the (legacy) paint and the protection modules togheter with the micro-upgrades, I come to a total amount of 10.892.450 crystals. I thought that the micro-upgrading of the new protection modules was 500.000 cry each, but now on the Wiki, it can be found that it is 450.000 each. This means that the new modules (all are fully mu-ed to 50%) will cost in total 9.800.000. This means for me a positive saldo of 1.092.450 cry. In other words I should have received 3.642 batteries, but actually I have none. Can someone explain to me, what went wrong?

I'm absolutely tired of this game and this is pretty much the end of it. Two clearly under-tested updates have been released one after the other (MMS + this update) and there are way too many glitches floating around, most of which I found to be fun experiencing. One bug that really annoys me though and pretty much doesn't allow me to play the game anymore is one where I can't seem to be able to join a battle on any of my clients, I have tried three of them; the actual Tank Online client, Tanko and Standalone Flash Player. Each of these clients are just able to let me log into my account but neither of them let me join any battles, just a loading page that never seems to finish loading. This problem just started today in the afternoon.

In a final attempt I decided to use the dumb browser version of the game, which has now become this HTML5 thing which sucks too. The browser version allows me to log into my account and join battles, but changes my rank from Legend 3 to Private after I do so, meaning I have to refresh my page every time I want to join a new battle...

Anyways, that's the main bug drifting about, for me at least, don't see many others having this problem but there are a few other bugs that I've noticed only I've encountered. One of which is to do with Spectator mode. Yesterday I had lagged out of my Tanki Online client, hence as usual log back in, except this time instead of spawning in the battle as a tank, I was sent back into the battle as a Spectator with full abilities: I was able to do anything a Spectator could, including being able to chat in the battle chat.

Here are some common bugs experienced by most people, if not all: seeing the friend counter on the right side of the battle on the Battle List only, seeing friends who are offline in battles on the FL, seeing friends who are online in battles on the FL which they aren't actually in, seeing friends in multiple battles at the same time (1 person in multiple battles), battle spaces in maps increasing up to two times greater than their actual capacity. I saw a Silence Parkour battle yesterday with 14 players in the red team and 26 players in the blue team, totaling up to 40 people, double of the actual maximum capacity of a Silence map.

Anyways, I've decided to take a month break (minimum) from this game because I simply just can't seem to get into any battles anymore and I've become really fond of playing PUBG with my gf the past few days instead.

Player @Tyson have 103 462 batteries.

I have heard of Kilian_Baam having about 109k batteries. Before the update he had all triple modules on M4 level  :D

I seen posted at times the unofficial requirements for receiving compensation was ~ 12+ fully upgraded triple modules.

They set the bar extremely high by multiplying the module prices x3 to get the conversion.

I took two days off from playing this game. Mostly to let TO work the bugs out and spare myself the associated unpredictable server restarts. Wise move, as it turns out.

I also read all of this thread on player reaction. I was expecting batteries, yet received none. I expected single protections to be more expensive, yet I never dreamed they would be 3x=old triple modules. I feel like I should be angry about this, but I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I should have seen it coming.

Now it looks like free players are getting batteries in mission chains. I’ll know for myself tomorrow, but have no reason to doubt player reports (unlike official reports).

Anyway, I played several battles on four accounts about an hour ago. I only saw one drone, so at this point my perception at day 2 is that players aren’t going for drones. But that may be because so few players received batteries. Will have to see how drones appear in battles in the coming week as mission chains start giving players those long promised batteries.

I am in a very similar situation except my 32 modules were mu'd to between 39-43...now where i had 4 or 5 protections that should have boosted protections (even if using a simple original crystal cost vs. new crystal cost) and then given me lots of batteries...over 1 mil crystals.

I really like the new protection module system.  I suggested this right after the paint separation.  It's great and I think it will sell more modules because different single modules are more useful now...much easier to change within a battle.  I never bothered with modules before.  Activate one and forget it.  Now I can see what I think I need, visit the garage, and change the module.  Too bad it's in just a 10 minute game...15 would have been much better.

Anyway, at my rank and my alt account, I hardly lost anything.  I must say that it is kind of unfair that if you had two or three of the same protection and at the same MU level, you didn't get any compensation...just the one module.  Oh well it's OK for me.  I do sympathize with the Legends and others that had choke modules and now have batteries...I'd be angry for sure.

I forgot...MM still stinks...awful, even if it works better than when it was first released...just garbage.

The explanations of how drones work are confusing.   I have no idea how to use them, and whether they are worth the cost.

Don't buy anything until they add the other 9, then decide on which one you want the most. You use the battery supply to activate the drone.

@Tanki, I would seriously consider stopping all work on upcoming updates and focus on server stabilisation; with each update the game has received, the connection has gotten significantly worse.

yeah u are right. I am not gonna buy any drones right now - they seem to be a  waste of money. For now I will save all batteries I get from weekly chains and containers .

I think the drones are kind of a non-issue at this point.  It may be only buyers will have and use them....too expensive for us mere freebie mortals.

Tanki used to be like that and I thought it was fine....buyers who support the game should be able to slaughter us free players...they pay for the privilege.  Of course, I wish we could revert the game to a previous incarnation, but at least drones don't seem as ominous as they sounded....time will tell though.

yes you're right. Tanki Online is getting very difficult to play for the non buyers.
