LW account has a couple hundred now from opening Containers. A couple other accounts have a score from weekly mission chains.

 

It is hard to see how the new drone and battery system pricing is justified within the game's current economic ... well "structure" gives it too much credit. Anyway ...

 

Drones will have little effect until they are MU'ed up considerably. That's an investment of many hundred thousand per drone.

 

Using even one battery in a battle can eat up all or nearly all the profit. But using a battery w/o owning a strong MU'ed Drone is nearly meaningless. So there is no escaping the need to MU any drone you buy.

 

So after investing hundreds of thousands on a drone, and 399 to 3,000 Cry every time you use it ...

 

The pay off is your Supplies costing 50 Cry each will work fractionally better????

Of course the other way to describe the drone system is to point out drones ar a way to add another perfomance boost compared to tanks w/o drones.  The boost may be mild compared to the cost but it is a way to buy an additional edge in competition. 

 

Problem is the cost pretty much leaves this t deep-pocketed buyers.

Buying a drone is like leasing an expensive car.

 

Basically with the modules removal; they took away your everyday car and placed you into the lease contract of a limousine that you don't need because it's too expensive to drive.

 

Now that would be the ideal situation. I got my car stolen. Luckely I am not lured into a lease contract.

 

90% of the people who got batteries as compensation aren't wealthy enough to keep using drones or make them effective by MU'ing.

 

It's a loss-loss for everyone except for a niche population of players.

I think anyone who has batteries should use them only on trooper drone and only when the enemy team is in your bases spawn killing everyone. At least that will keep you from joining the ranks of the dead instantly

No it wont/ The tanks spawn-camping you have drugs up too.  So you spawn, 5 enemy tanks see you, kill you, then another teammate spawns, five enemies kill it, another one spawns ... we all know how it does. When there are a swarm of enemies ready to pop you as soon as yo go solid having instant drugs isn't going to help ad much as TO wants you to assume.

 

Thiis one seems more suited for DM which is all about killing the tank you spawned behind before the tank spawning behind you can kill you. In DM there are not a whole team waiting for you to go solid.

Littlewillie, ikr, but this is the same with suplies, but more expensive. One DD costs 50 crystals. But when you use DD in battle, you get a lot less than 50. So, people don't buy suplies, they just use them if they have them collected from missions, chains, containers, etc.

 

Drones don't even have lots of advantages, and I am sure that it will someday be in missions, so us can use it well too.

 

Suplies were a p2w thing at first but nowdays if you manage your acc well, you can get lots of them.

I agree. I have tons of the regular supplies. I just think TO would be smarter from their own point of view to ensure most players got some batteries to try out after teh conversion..Give them a taste 0 then charge them. :)

I have a feeling that drones/batteries will be adjusted in a few weeks or a couple of months.  Tanki wants them actively used and right now hardly anyone can afford them.
