Some players have a pretty full garage. If option is to invest in a 7th turret, or Drones that (likely) make your current set more powerful, I can see many investing in the drones. Extra edge for what they've got versus another option that will take time to ramp up.

 

Assault Drone seems tailor-made for enhanced spawn-killing.  I think my Captain account ran into some of those in a Brest battle last night.

Maybe they used up all the batteries they had but - was ugly and unbalanced - ended up 7-0.

I agree entirely that for teh tanker who has everything, Drones are another little bit more everything to own.  So yes ROI might justify investing in Drones instead of another 10,000 RKs or aan 11th turret.

 

BUT .... Even so I am not sure you are buying much. For unlimited budgets why not? But it seems very little edge is bought for very much money.  

 

AND ... if I am wrong then the budget tanker can blunt the righ buyer advantage buy a low MU drone investment. You can but 70% of a drone's full effects for less than 20% of the full cost.

 

I have a pard time calling that pay to win.

Yup. 300 crystals (1 battery) per minute when you have a drone active.

I'll probably buy about a million crystals worth of batteries if they're gonna go on sale this weekend, because I do like drones and look forward to using them. But it feels extremely unfair to those who can't spend thousands of dollars and don't get generously paid for helping the project.

413 :l Got them from daily missions. I find the current drones pretty pointless. I'll wait for the rest of the Drones first and try them out if their really worth the 300 crystals..

I'm upgrading the drones in the meantime. I still have the Assault drone and that one is at 9 Mu's.. Out of my head I have no idea what it does though lol.

 

I mean most of my favorite turrets are M4 anyway. You get batteries for free so might aswell use this feature. I don't know if it'll make a difference comparable to protection modules.

 

But I don't like drones.. it made everything worth less again because there's a new money pit to fill before reaching peak performance.

You need to use them to realize the potential they have

drones them selves are very useful and you have so many perks when using them, but they it would cost you 3,000 crystals to use a drone for only 1 battle, its not worth it because you end up earning less than what you used
