I bet right now there are 100s of frustrated youtubers who spent 1000s of $ buying containers, hoping to make a video on 1m crystals and xt container openings, but instead find their garage full of mines and double armours :lol:

I have revised my estimate, I think there's a little more probabilities to open an exotic item:

 

1 in 50,000 containers.

 

I think about 25 to 50 players already have opened those containers. (XTs and Million crys)

With the number of players commenting on the lost White Railgun shot color, designers are probably thinking of adding another Shop-only alteration which will change the shot color. Purchase price $50 USD, 40euro.

 

Instead of XT it will be called ‘Refractor’. You will buy a different Refractor each for the turrets which have shot color (Railgun, Firebird (blue flame!!!), Ricochet, Freeze, Isida).

 

A green Isida beam would be sweet.

M4 viking definitely feels weak after XT update. Got 50% protection against railgun and I get 1 shot, it was never like that before the update. Probably some type of coding went wrong mixing up health with normal viking and XT viking?

Apart from making skins looks like a decoration, how about adding protections for skins. Skins should have special abilities that either consists of protections or other mechanisms which can benefit players in such a way which gives them a better chance at destroying enemies or winning battles.

 

Skins should also help players earn more experience points. Increasing the XP points by double for Legend players would be a good benefit to players, especially players which don't play Tanki Online much.

There can't be white ammunition for all XTs because XTs are now available for all ranks, that would be confusing. But there can be for M3, that's reasonable and possible. Or even better a different color for all modifications.

Skins are made to be exclusively cosmetic. They will never give any benefit in battles, as this would worsen the "pay-to-win" aspect of this game. By keeping skins purely cosmetic, developers are able to put them in the Shop for very high prices without affecting balance between free players and buyers, but as soon as skins start giving battle advantages, players will be upset and the game will lose a lot of reputation.

As for the idea of earning extra EXP with the skin equipped - that's possible, but still unlikely.

After the introduction of drones buyers definitely got a significant advantage, but it's not at a point where I would refer to the whole game as "pay-to-win". Free players can still compete if they spend their crystals wisely and it's still much better than a lot of other popular free-to-play games.

Thanks Maf for explaining to me that adding game advantage to skins would ruin gameplay. I did not know that. However, I really like the cosmetics looks of skins blending with paints.

I don't think XT bundle will ever expire. I mean I have both hornet and railgun XT but the bundle is still in shop.

That is false. Any rank can buy an XT skin from the shop. The current XT skin only requires that the player have matching hull and turret, the M-level notwithstanding.
