Changing a Paint should apply that paint to the game's background

Recommended Posts

I think its a great idea, you put a paint on because you love the paint, therefore you will love what it enables with it! (Option to turn the effect on or off)

this would make tanki always look new and complies with the developer plan of :

"Constantly make changes and introduce new features to keep current players interested

and,

Make the game more pleasant for players by implementing occasional QOL (quality of life) updates".

I also want to illustrate my idea, to the furthest level of possibility through what i have to worth with :)

Under review.

I actually quite like this, should add a different feel to the game with all the different paints. I can only imagine if this works with animated paints, that would be quite cool.

On the other hand, as you can see with some of the paints, the repeating pattern of the paint could make it look displeasing or ugly, which is why I like the idea of being able to turn it off and on.

Perhaps it doesn't need to be necessarily animated, but just the still image of the animated paint?

If it's possible why not? Wouldn't it be cooler?

It definitely would be aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but I feel it would cause lag on much slower PC's even with all of their game settings turned down in-game.

Maybe there could be an animation ON/OFF button in the settings?

There's an on/off option for the entire idea. Perhaps you could switch it off when you wear animated paints if you experience issues with them.

make this effect on your profile in ratings as well

although they're probably gonna increase the price of paints if they do this

I think the current prices of paints are justifiable if this update were to be implemented. However, if a paint is <45,000 crystals, they should be increased by 10 times

whut..

so if a paint is 44k it becomes 440k but if it's 45k it remains at 45k?

i think they should just make the price of all paints in the shop and garage tenfold. also make them 10 times rarer in containers...

I try to never criticise an idea because "it may cause lag". Especially in this case, since all you're doing is replacing a still image with a GIF.
