  1. 1. What is the reason for this?

    • Rude community.

    • Not enough people know about the EN forums.

As you might know, if you are a active forum member from a few years back, the forum of now and then has a pretty big difference. What that difference is? Less unique posters in all the sections.

Any clue on what is causing the decline? Write them below. And, also, try to ask your friends, who haven't done yet, to try out the forums for the first time!

Please keep the discussion to the topic, or else, the post will be reported.

I would say not many players visit the Forum or even know about it in general. Others don't care that much unless an update which players don't like is released lol

That is a huge problem. The main reason for it, in my opinion (and this really is), is that the 'Sign in' button is WAY too small for anyone to see. Nor does it have any logo/icon pointing/indicating it.

I think this forum is generally very civilised and behaves very well, unless (as @Hate above said) a new update is released into the game.

I don't think there is a great deal of advertisement for the Forum in-game, though it is definitely better now than it was a few months ago.

As I replied to @Hate, this is a huge problem. I think the whole idea of in-game friends and forums is like a social media, with anonymity.

So are you suggesting that some sort of advertisement should be done for the Forum, in-game one maybe or even a permanent feature next to the news tab or somewhere else where it stays there forever so maybe some will click on it out of curiosity and end up getting introduced to the Forum that way maybe?

Not that intrusive, but, yeah, some sort of permanent advertisement would be better. Or, even a small crystal reward (like linking email) for registering on and posting once on forum.

Plus, the 'Sign in' button should either be a bit bigger or have some icon/logo directing people to it.

Good point, compared to the updated version (Russian Forum)...do you think it is easier for players to be introduced to the Forum or more friendly to use compared to the current one we have?

Absolutely, but, as the devs have said. It is too risky to switch to the newer IP boards version. But, I would prefer a newer version if nothing can be done here.

The white background of the newer version is a pain to the eyes, however. :D

You might even consider putting a link to the forum within the players lobby console.

If you really want to bump up knowledge that the forum exists, offer one free container (or 200 crystals...whatever) to just log into the forum, say hi in a specific "Hi" thread, and get the prize.  Put this announcement in the news section and run it a couple of times...one prize per player.

Run a contest with the entry having to be posted in the forum in the specific contest thread...like Why I like MatchMaking...wait, nah, there wouldn't be any entries.

Well, I got a good news for you then. The white background has been taken care of so now you have the option to switch to either black/white background. Just scroll all the way down to the bottom and you will see it. :)

Sadly, I do not know Russian. I only speak and write English and Hindi, fluently.

A container would be too overkill. Plus, checking all those thousands of 'Hi's' in that topic would take too much time. Heck, even more time to reward them all.

Main issue is the language, despite being an English community a large majority of players do not speak or write in English enhance the fact there is no point for them to come here.

That would be a bit too much indeed. How about something that the game recognizes easily, same as when you link your email to your account so for example, log in to the Forum and it recognizes itself automatically.

And the post counter is there, post just for once (You won't get more of it if you post after that) and you would receive a small amount of crystals. This will not make the economy go mad, but, this will have the effect of introducing new, good behaved players to the community.

The moderation team is already there to take care of any bad.

Well, why not? There are country clubs where you can meet people from your own country. Besides, you can know what really is going on in the community and comment about it. The same goes for updates, they can share their thoughts on them if they ever knew something called a 'forum' existed in the TO community.

Anyways, I am leaving the topic for a few hours. Will collect and try to reply to all the feedback given here, later.

They can talk to each other in the in-game chat with their own languages. They surely have a friend/big bother/relative that can translate for them, or they just try stuff around and see how they work. Some are also more interested by the game than the community. It took me 7 months before getting on the forum :D

I think the "news" section in the game is a proper advertisement for the forum. Players receive daily doses of news from the forum like contests and update announcements, etc.

However, it's undeniable the forum is less active than it was in the past years :/

And many guys do not know a forum exist

And the game has made it some what active

Its hard to find someone who speaks the same language, other than English.

It just took me a week to find the forum.

Hardly anyone really reads it. If they had, when MM was released, no one would have asked, "Where did non-pro battles go?". Which they still do.

Yes, he is Coldplay. That was his previous nick.

In-loading screens do not really tell you anything. Heck, they even tell you that "Boxes that fell from the sky, can add crystals to your wallet!" still.

I do not consider it as a 'hidden' world. I do know that some people just like playing the game. But, who knows, if forum gets pretty popular they will start posting here. Too.

And.

Nor French.

No offence, okay

I have done that, and seen many players respond. It is just that people just keep chatting on the chats, they do not bother/know (how) to log in to the forums.

I doubt people know about it, large majority of players don't even read the updates that are posted when you login into the game itself, and even fewer click the associated link to get more info. I know this because of both player admission but also from the large number of people who have absolutely no idea about various announcements, sales, updates. I met someone today in battle (a colonel who's English was on point) who had no idea it was Tanki's Birthday. Then someone else asked if anyone knew when the MU sale would take place, if they had clicked the link they would of known it was Sunday.

I agree adding a "Go to forum" button in the interface would help, like how when you launch TX it has a forum button in the upper right.
