BEWARE! Overdrives are likely coming soon...

Before buying or upgrading hulls check hull descriptions in garage. Those description mention Overdrives. Nothing new, but it's like a confirmation of the type of Overdrive for each hull and that they are coming soon.

Dictator remains the same. I hope they replace the blue cloud, but whatever. Dictator is my main hull for non-pro, so nothing will change for me. :)

Then just save the Overdrive for Gold. And maybe get the attacking drone too for kill contests.

 

Poor Hunters, let's hope the disabling area is wide, and maybe it could disable Mines as well... 4 mines in a battle.

WHat do you think about Viking overdrive. I bought its M1 and then read this :(

Dictator is a BAD hull for most of the weapons (but good for Railgun) so I will not use it. I bought M1 Dictator long time ago but now I know it was a bad choice because it is not worth upgrading to M2. It is sad that I will have to get used to Hunter overdrive which seems totally useless.

You bought the BEST hull in Tanki (Hunter is 2nd best in my opinion). Just combine it with Ricochet or Thunder (it is quite OP) and rule the battlefield even without using these new stupid overdrives.

I think you are good, but if you don't like it you can MU it a little bit and then save for an M2 DIctator kit. Low ranks need not to worry too much.

The description has been in the garage for several days. Hull overdrives were announced over a year ago. They aren't being subtle at all.

It's just like a reminder to others before they buy or upgrade hulls. Of course we knew this for sometime, buy people forget.

I don't want to use Supplies (or Drones), but now I'll have to if I want my Overdrive to give me an advantage over opponents instead of merely un-drug them. Goodbye to using Overdrive as an offensive / attacking thing. Might have to switch to another Medium.

 

I'd rather keep the existing Overdrive for all hulls (but limit the sharing to one other tank) and have different (but not OP) secondary effects for each one.

I suggest to wait and see. Meanwhile you can save for an M2 hull or Kit, and maybe work on your protections for now. If I were you I'd MU Hunter to M1.4 or 1.5, then save for a different hull. Drones will just prevent you from improving the rest of your garage and they consume expensive batteries. Wait and see about Drones too.

I'm pretty sure they'll be free, but don't give them ideas, :)

 

Speaking of giving devs bad ideas, maybe batteries could have been better for Overdrives, where after a long cooldown, equally in time for everyone, you could use it.

It used to be the greatest hull until the latest rebalance, it's probably just not your style being the tall guy.

The new overdrive are less supply-focused so that's always good.

 

I believe those drones will become more valuable when we won't see drugged tankers that much anymore. Using them is still too expensive for me though.

 

However, I will upgrade my assault drone just in case. With the strategy off doing the MU's on sales only.
