About how to promote and support a fair-play game style

          Hey everyone!

          Being sort of bored at legend rank and missing the beauty of ranking up, sometimes I play low ranks, mostly xp (m2) because is so relaxing to me and even if it not looks like, there are a lot of players playing it and almost all the time battles (Sandbox CTF) at all m2 combo ranks range. Most of these players are way too skilled already meaning they are alt accounts just like me but is not a problem the game is always fun. 

          Whatever I notice in these battles is, lack of fair play. Even if the same combo is still difficult to make a fair play game from the beginning until the end, since not even teams keep capping flags or killing when a "stop" was asked, or any other circumstance where teams are not even / equal and not all players playing. Ofc we are not talking about the 5 to 0 games where 0 team players left and the 2 remaining flags are being capped to end the battle anyway. We are talking about lack of fair play specially where players keep asking for it, but some of others players keep spoiling all the beauty of the game.

          I would like to hear your opinion about it as well as you might have ideas about how to promote fair-play among these ranks.

          I would be willing to organise an unofficial xp m2 weekly tournament to support and encourage players to be fair  where to assign small prizes for the winners. 

          Please add your feedback and constructive comments only below. 

          This topic is strictly regarding xp / bp non supplies format battles.

 

12 June update: 

-The most palpable solutions commonly proposed so far are an XP tournament and attempt to take over ongoing unfair battles, these options are currently being discussed in last posts.

XP/BP is mostly fun with friends/clan/club its not easy to get a fair game play because some noobs will always end up in the battle but sadly they have also removed exp and crystals in private battles which makes I hard to play even 3vs3 battles.

That only expands and confirms my initial post, I would like ideas about how to change / improve / motivate players, please.

There is no way, as, someone will always start before the teams are full. Or, cap a flag while the other team is left with 2 or even 1 players.

 

Then, the enemy team would take revenge by doing the same and this will continue. Best way, as written by @need.higher.rank is to play with friends/clan/club or just leave the lower ranks as soon as you can.


I am in for your weekly tournaments. I don't want the prizes, a mention if I win would be good enough. B)

I am an Indian and there is a famous cricket league which runs in summer , Indian Premier League (or IPL). In this tournament in order to encourage fair play by all teams , a special award know as Fair play award is given after the entire league is over. From match 1 until the final match, the umpires see how the players behave in the game (their reactions on taking wickets etc)  and the team with the best average (total points/ total matches) is given the award.

 

Similarly you should hold the weekly matches and you should reward two players - one who has shown the match winning performance  and other who has shown fair play in the match. 

 

I think this would make people not only play good but also fair. And regarding judging it could be either you or someone whom you trust!

This idea is awesome! To reward fair players instead or more than winning ones. The thing is, what do we do if they will all behave fair-play, knowing they are supervised in those battles? :D Will just pick one random winner?

Yeah pick just one random winner , and wait did you say all of them played fair? I think this is what you want!

Generalissima has mentioned specifically that this thread is related to XP/BP battles only!

Modules , Drones , Batteries or any other update doesn't affect these battles. And FYI people who buy in games are not unfair people, You call them "buyers".

You know there should be a filter for removing the commonly used unfair words

 

There are some guy's who post that player [name] is noob , he is my team mate and he just take away your confidence

Would you play with a guy who calls you name's

 

Well another thing is if you hold a tournament 90% will play fair

And go back to play like they did in normal battle's

We need to think of a system that encourages fair play in all battles

One major problem is unification of servers . We may be able to tell EN players to play fair but what about RU players?

Actually finding 100% fairplay among EN players is also improbable because there are some who just don't want to understand.

 

Right now what we can do is just try the Weekly tournament idea what Generalissima gave , give prizes like how I said and see what impact it creates.

when i do takeovers people wee it as bullying? :blink: :blink: :blink: they think I'm ruining the game :blink: :blink: :blink: :blink:

when i do takeovers i see it as evening the odds and giving bullies a tatse of their own medicine. if there's enough space for me and a few of my friends to all join that means the enemy team must have either planted mults or they must have continued playing even after people on the team i join left... and they must have continued killing such that more and more of them leave.

IMO doing takeovers is the way to encourage fair play because if you teach those bullies often enough they'll be afraid to continue killing even when it's not fair in the fear that they will leave and make space for a big clan that will come and rip them apart.

When is it being held for the first time?

Not true, If I'm on a Sandobx CTF and we are 3 vs 1 waiting for 2 more to join , does that make us planned mult?! LOL. I don't have anymore comments to make for your sentences.

Yes that is something we can do, but as long as we can make it fair-play. For me a total fair-play is when players have same combo. Adding diversity that currently tanki has (mu, supplies, drones) is not the perfect playground for fair-play, unless teams are supervised? Anyway, we could just stick to non mu-s non supplies non protection battles only because also we dont want players to spend crys / money on them by participating in the battles, also, some of them might have available, others might not and there would be differences?

what!? of course i wasn't talking about sandbox. I said that if there was enough places for me and my friends to join... if it's 3 vs 1 how will there be enough places for usto join??

 

of course i am talking about 10 or 12 vs 2.

 

that's why i said CLAN.. what kind of clan has 3 people

There would be no problem if everything is turned off including drones , MUs , drop boxes , supplies . 

Yeah just one thing needs to be seen that players have equal number of isida in each team or no isidas allowed at all. It would be nice gameplay because there would be no advantage for buyers.

It would require good team management .

          In random supplies enabled battles is impossible to make it fair-play and I never saw one single fair-play battle and honestly I don't even know how could it be. This is why from the start I excluded talking about them and I limited to xp format and now we extend the idea of any combo just no supplies mus protections. 
 
          About clan.. imo in game clan is just a demo version offering a common nickname tag and a limited host clan chat channel, the system is far way from being complete, but I hope dev will go on improving it in a near future. As well as being and having a clan is not even far meaning that those players are being fair play, I don't wanna show printscreens of clan owner who ran away last days after he tried to take over my battle (I won 7 to 0), and after I sent him message writing him how his clan mates fired at me 3 vs 1 me being alone in that battle and they still did not manage to cap. So, having and playing in a clan imo also does not guarantee the game is fair-play, as well as friends not sharing the same clan tag can play together and they can be or cannot be fair play.

i was talking about pro battles when i talked about those takeovers. and nowadays i think you can only do takeovers with your clan in pro battles because of matchmaking.

About match-matching I am not sure what's happening, I am confused  :rolleyes:  At low ranks I saw so well balanced battles but also I saw total disasters as well as at high ranks, but, again, these are supplies enabled battles, so it will never be a fair play, will it? It might be just my impression but now I see more pro battles and more diversity of created maps since the MM system is introduced. One thing I don't understand in settings of these battles: supplies turned off, but mus enabled?! Why?  :D  :lol:

well i don't know.. maybe it's because after the MU update everyone starts MUing the moment they get their equipment?  maybe it's because they want modules to be more effective cause they don't like to die too quickly? (50% compared to 35%)

 

I like your idea about tournaments but i have another idea to suggest. how about you reward people who do takeovers to help the people getting bullied? In order to avoid them staging their own heroic deeds maybe you could post tyhe battle links of the unfair battles you see, and the first people who come to the rescue gets rewarded?

Some or the other person always joins but the problem is till that time they would already cap flags. ( I have played almost 100+ XP/BP battles including space mode)

I can't support people to go take over a battle where maybe a team already took over a bunch of mult that have run. I can support a total fair play game from the scratch instead.
