Greetings Tankers! :) 
Tanki has been evolving a lot in the past  couple years. From removing crystal boxes to adding drones.We have witnessed a lot of changes in the glorious game. But as time passes we observe that the game is getting expensive day by day. Protection was separated  from paints (by adding modules) increasing the use of crystals. Recently we all witnessed the release of drones, again increasing the use of crystals and all this gives an unfair advantage to those who use real money in the game but anyways the day is not far (according to what is happening currently) when you'll have pay for playing Tanki, which is depressing:( 
The point I'm trying to make is that Tanki is introducing new ways of spending crystals but not earning it.

The point I'm trying to make is that Tanki is introducing new ways of spending crystals but not earning it. 

Up until the drones update the number of crystals players received and the number of ways they could spend them was actually quite balanced, in my opinion. Last year we had a whole 7 months of triple mission chain rewards and a few months ago those were turned into permanent double rewards. We had individual mission rewards increased by 20%, and containers were added to mission chain rewards, giving you 4 every week, with a chance of getting up to a million crystals from them. Not to mention that weekly chains do not get reset now, allowing you to earn crystals from missions more effectively. Double battle funds and 50% sales are more common now than ever before.

 

That being said, the introduction of batteries and drones makes all of above practically worthless, since i don't see how any free player could ever realistically earn over a million crystals in order to fully upgrade at least one drone and buy enough batteries for it to allow them to compete against buyers. Especially considering that full MU drones and batteries become available as early as Warrant Officer 1.

Good point in the first paragraph. This last week, good players in normal battles have been making 1-2k per game, which is insane.

 

As for the second, drones dont really change the game that much. I have 700 batteries but keep forgetting to use them since they only add small increase in power, which is good

They would be fine if batteries were cheaper (or lasted longer) and MUs would get gradually unlocked at each new rank, but alas.

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but buyers should be able to dominate the game.  They support the game by buying.  We free players get to play for free because of their buying.  It is true that if free players didn't play there would be no, or very few buyers, so we add to the game, but the engine that runs the game is buyers get to wipe out non-buyers.  the bright side is ANYONE can be a buyer and join the ranks of the dominant.  It's a good system even though I hate getting trounced from time to time by some nasty low life blankty blank buyer, but it does keep the game alive.

No.

 

Game income should not get in the way of game balance. There are successful free games in which buyers have 0 advantage.

That would be a bad approach to game design. Buyers are important because they bring revenue, but free players are also important because they give the game a player base and allow it to expand. If free players won't be able to compete against buyers, they will simply stop playing and leave, which will quickly result in downfall of the game.

True.   What's the point of being a buyer without anyone to beat on...

If I'am correct, you don't have to use batteries...they get used automatically when drones are equipped

uhm...wiki admin... warrant officer 1 is for purchase in the garage...

 

"drone attack" kit is available in the shop at first sergeant :lol:

 

and drone attack isn't even in the garage kit with rotation.

 

so there's literally no way to even get a drone from first sergeant to sergeant major without paying real money

 

even if you get millions of crystals for being wiki admin buyers will still get drones before you can.

so there's literally no way to even get a drone from first sergeant to sergeant major without paying real money

even if you get millions of crystals for being wiki admin buyers will still get drones before you can.

Some moderators are also buyers and players with low account can become a moderator, so... this is not likely to happen.

The system to get equipment in the shop earlier than other player is not new (sticker and magnum kits).
