Maybe I am incorrect, but it seems that battle groups in normal battles are limited to 3 people. Would it be possible to raise that amount even to 4? So often I have 3 friends who all want to battle together (even thought it will be 12 legends and us), but only 3 of us can be in a group together. I'd love even larger groups, but I can understand that might affect balance

It was actually 4 members for groups when MM was released. However it was seen fit by the developers to reduce that number to 3 to better balance the battles. It was also done to reduce searching time as it increases as the group number gets larger because the system needs to pair you guys to another group. Moreover, the battles are 8v8, meaning if a group of 4 enters, that's half of one team, and it has a large effect on game balance.
