If you have weak combo , get a friend with OP combo and go as a group

Or

If you run solo be sure to get at least one combo which is at 10/10 level , max for your rank

So you wont have problems about rank brackets

If you are put with low ranks than you you can dominate them

If you are put with high ranks than you you can do well also  :)

Hit G key as soon as you enter the battle to tailor your tank to the map you entered: paint, hull and turret.

Play for a while and then adapt protection module.

For me the map doesn't really matter. Wasp Hammer is good for any map. As for module - I usually play for a couple minutes and see which turrets are most common and, if I can identify 3 common ones (or one particular player that annoys me), I change to the suitable protection.

For you - but posing let you can also check if your tank is ok for the mode you are playing. Some map I prefer to attack, some I prefer to midfield.

Depending on ranks I would be more adventurous or more defensive.

They should give us an option to change equipment as soon as you join, without starting the 5 minute timer.

Maf actually I want to create an idea that before match begins , there should be 2 minute preparation time so that all players can load properly. During preparation time , you can use garage , roam around the map , chat but capturing flags/scoring goals/killing would be disabled. So when the MMS sends us in a battle , the timer would begin from 12:00 and game would start after 10:00 mark!

I have posted in MMS topic but noone read it :/

Two minutes is somewhat long.  And no need to "roam the map" - players will either be already familiar or explore as they play.

30 seconds to 1 min (max) of a lobby whereby you see map name and team composition so you can set your combo should be enough.

Main purpose for those two minutes is all players load the map. It often happens that in 1 team there are only 4 active players and other 4 are still loading . Then after 2 minutes , 2 of these players will leave battle(due to inactivity) and then new players will join and they will again take time joining battle.

Well we can do one thing , players can start killing in those 2 minutes and their individual score will increase HOWEVER kills won't count in assault/tdm battles.

Hitting G after joining is good for Legends, but for the rest the first think to do would be to check the score and then hit the Tab key to see rank composition and performance, then decide to stay or quit.

Topic title creates confusion. I thought you want to learn how to play regular non-pro battles

Maybe it's not a right title but since the point is to share tips and strategies, I think it's okay.

They should give us an option to change equipment as soon as you join, without starting the 5 minute timer.

This should be a feature, as long as the said player does not get to see what his teammates are using or it would give rise to 5 Isidas in one team.

Not to mention the drawbacks of this feature, I really like playing in highways without 4 shafts scoping in on me, this feature would make that possible.

I agree,

Would a map filter work too? Like as if MM searches in the pool of Berlin maps for example?

maybe like counterstrike.. first 1 minute is for choosing weapons. for people who come in halfway they have 1 minute to decide before they spawn

Why do you want to quite? That's because of guys like you that other tankers are thrown in middle of battles. You just create the problem that you after complain about! Well done.

If player would switch in "lobby" they will certainly switch after joining battle, so what's the difference? You will still encounter the 4 shafts on highways.

And if I see 3 other isidas on my team (before entering map) I'd be inclined not to use isida.

My Captain alt joined a battle where I was highest rank,  Other team was Major up to Colonels.

Why should I start a battle with that handicap?

If TO fixed the MatchMaking balancing system players wouldn't jump ship nearly as often.

Because you are skilled with a strong alt.

MM needs to improve, but you aslo players need to update their mindset. No more running or cherry picking battles.

If you want to choose Your map and abandon Your team in the middle you have pro-battle for that.

And the title was "how to play regular battles" not "how to leave".

I don't need to cherry-pick my battles to have fun. I just need a semblance of fairness.  It's not happening on too many battles.

And sadly, hitting the exit button is too often how one should "play regular battles".

So many will "run" as you put it - and keep doing so, until the system is improved.

About leaving I said after checking score and ranks. If a team is losing badly why stay in that team just to be a punch bag for the winning team, or if I'm one of the lowest ranks I won't be of help to my team and I won't be able to complete missions, and that's because mission chains are the primary economic goal of the whole thing.

But let's go back to the playing aspect, maybe not the rational approach, but I enter battle without checking garage and in battle I study the situation while fighting and when I get killed I hit G to go to the garage and change the necessary equipment.

Fairness,... justice... and I thought it was about playing a game. What was I thinking?

Players need to update their mindset. No more trying to search and wait for a spot in the winning team.

Yes that is what we should do

Now if we play good and are in losing team we get the reward for our efforts

I was a guy who looked for winning matches

But after MM i just go to battle and try to do my best to make my team win

Sometimes i also lose my thing i think to run but now does not run
