The Remastered Mult-Kicking System

 Share

Recommended Posts

A lot of ideas have been raised where a team could vote another teammate to leave the game is the teammate is playing absolutely garbage.

However, these ideas were declined since that mults could get ahold of this feature and have it backfire on themselves.

I just thought of a new system, where i try to patch the holes of the previous versions:

Players will be elligible for kick, with the following:

They must (all of these must be true):

1. Have been in the battle for more than 5 minutes

2. They are in the bottom 2 scores on their team

3. Their D/L is below 0.2.

They also must have at least one of these:

1. The combination they are using involves an under modified turret or hull that is at least 2 modifications lower than the expected level of any player of the rank.

2. They have done more damage to teammates than opponents

3. Paused more than a minute

4. Poor internet connection

5. Use twins (because all mults use twins to push people to walls)

The only people who can vote against these players are the top 3 players on a team. They are never mults because they are already scoring high points and probably care if they win or lose. They will not randomly kick a good player for fun. They can only be kicked if 2 of the 3 players choose to kick them. Plus, only if players who are able to meet the requirements above are able to be kicked.

Lol then my alt could get kicked cause my internet sometimes stops.  And my alt sucks with smoky so there are only kill assists, no kills.  Yay!  Kick me!  actually could teach a good lesson to noobs too like my alt.  they'll finally improve!

He said that a whole number of criteria have to be met in order for you to qualify. So other than lagging and not getting any kills you also have to stay paused for prolonged periods of time and have a low score, which shouldn't be a problem if you play actively.

Yah but me alt gets low score cuz I never can get kills with smoky.  *sigh* should have chosen another turret...

Banning the player from the current battle only or put a short cooldown on certain features? I agree, and this should come without a warning and with a cooldown on certain features, which otherwise would result only in short cease of the intentional abuse.

You don't need kills in order to get a high score. If you shoot someone till they're almost dead and then your teammate steals the kill, you will get most of the experience. In fact, you'll sometimes get even more than you would have if you killed the enemy alone.

Some things to consider...

- in large maps like Highways, an isida healing team-mates could possibly never come into contact with enemy, so D/L ~ 0.

- Would there be a window that closes for the kick?  I mean voting out bottom 2 players 30 seconds before battle ends might be just a way to up your reward - fewer team members to split their part of the fund...

Your first point won't work because the Isida would not be at the bottom of the list if it heals properly. Although the D/L is 0, it does not meet the requirement of score ranking in order to be kicked, so the isida would not be kicked.

Your second point also won't work because the bottom 2 players would still have to fulfill all of the above requirements to actually be kicked. You just can't vote whoever you want.

Could happen if everyone on team is doing their job.  Isida can score on bottom portion of team even though it is participating.

(I also think they lowered the scoring for Isdas in battles recently)

All I'm saying is you can't assume things will work exactly as you envision.  Thresholds need to be in place to prevent abuse.

Thresholds are already placed... *see below*

An isida that is a heal-only specialist and still places at the bottom of the list will not be elligible for being kicked because it would not satisfy any of the conditions above, so it will not be allowed to be kicked.

Plus, only the top 3 players on a team can vote to kick, and these 3 players are definitely not mults, so they will not mess around and kick someone who is actually helping.

You've never been stuck in a garage for > 1 minute?  Lucky you...

I have... but my point is that your top 3 teammates (who definitely are not mults since they top 3) can only have the ability to vote. And if you are so unlucky that you do meet all the requirements, you won't be kicked until they believe that you are truly multing.

Plus, if you somehow manage to meet all the requirements, you are probably holding back your team and unintentionally multing, where you should be kicked because you are not contributing at all...

For crying out loud - just add one more rule so it can't be abused. You thinking your top-3 team-mates are angles  and would never kick someone to get extra crystals is naive.

"Can not kick out a player with 1 min or less in battle".

If team-mates don't decide to kick someone by time battle is almost over it's too late.

If you fulfill all the requirements to be able to be kicked, you probably should be kicked. Bloody hell, if they want to steal crystals, they would only be stealing like 30 crystals (not a lot) because the mult would only get like 10 crystals.

"it's already a rule"... so - which rule # is that?

Is this serious?

2. You can't damage teammate

3. Using garage for changing equipment takes more than a minute especially if the connection is bad

4. How do you justify this!? you are just making rule up. Internet is not stable and it's not players fault.

5. yes you do make those rules up.

Try to rethink your idea criteria because this is highly subjective and not objective at all.

I think he meant by shooting own teammates.

And how do you assess/measure that? Thunder, Firebird and all the other large action turrets do co-lateral fire, burnt, freez anything enemy and allies alike. The system only apply damage to the enemy. How do you/or the system make the difference with co-lateral and intentional?

Tactically with rail-gun, you can hide behind another tank of your team and shoot through it to kill an enemy, use your teammate as cover.
