Would be good to have a replay system and replay battles or catch hackers and for creative purposes.

Other FPS shooter games or BR games has this and it works great.

Suggested before. It would be a useful feature, but unfortunately it would have terrible effect on the server load. To allow everyone (or a lot of people) to be able to record gameplay at the same time, the servers would need to get a massive upgrade, which would result in huge costs. More importantly, there is no point adding a feature, which can be substituted by separate downloadable software (i.e. any screen recorder). So developers would rather focus their efforts on adding functions, which can't otherwise be done with third party programs.

Or it could be a replay feature using an unmanned spectator. The recording should stay for archived for 10 minutes after the battle is complete. It would give the complaining team a chance to vote. And if the minimum number of required votes are reached, the recording is then flagged and put in a 24-hour "red flag" bin for administration to investigate.

Note - only non-pro battles will be recorded, each at a 10-minute clip and another 10-minute lifespan unless tagged.

It truly makes not much sense to record things via any video-related means.

1. there is software available that does a good job

2. you can only record your own point of view all the time

What would make sense (and was also already suggested in the past) is that the actions of each player are recorded (movements, turns, shots, hits, impacts, effect on other tanks, ...) and those can be replayed. The stream of movement data is far less data then a full video;

additionally you can feed that data back to the tanki game to have it show you what happened. As you have all data, you can fly around with your camera and check every portion of the battle. You can also slip into the persepctive of another player if you like to, .. whatever.

And that's the issue:

This data can only be collected by your local PC (as the servers have enough of a job to provide the game to us.. let's not load them further more).

As soon you this data is local at your PC, you could manipulate it. So if you send in that recording data package and describe who was the hacker. The hacker get's banned, asks for the point in time of the battle where he was "accused of hacking", takes his own recording data and manipulates it, so his actions do not look like hacking any more.

Also some players could get someone banned who never did something wrong, simply by manipulating the recording data package before they accuse him of hacking, to offer a piece of artificial evidence.

The simples manipulation would be to exchange a tankers ID, and so someone else would be blamed.

As long as Tanki has no own evidence storage, such systems are beautiful playgrounds - but they have limited use vs. hackers.

Tanki can assign a dedicated server for the sole purpose of what I proposed above. Each battle archive lifespan is 10 minutes, so it should not take up anymore space or resources. However, if one 10-minute video gets flagged, it should have an extended life expectancy until the issue is resolved. And as you pointed out, this recording is from an unbiased eye that in no way can be altered by any user.

*sorry for late reply and why did you change the title?!* I didn't mean "record button" I was talking Replay option, NOT RECORDING OPTION! Ever heard of the overwatch CS:GO has and the replay gameplay for PUBG? It is only granted to YouTubers and other important players.

Sorry about that. But changing the title doesn't change the fact that such a feature would still cause massive strain on the servers. So it won't happen.

Speaking of which, I'm thinking of recording some gameplay, you got any recording software in mind that I can try?
