Well done Belgium, they were stronger than England. Congo to Belgium. And best of luck for this young an very promising English team!

Next is the Grand final between Croatia & France - May the strongest team win.

Inevitable that England will start dominating at World Cups soon. They won the U17 and U21 World Cups do just waiting for the young 'uns to come through. :D

England needs to work on their defence it was terrible, they had too many soft goals against them.

France had a very good defence and versatile supporting and attacking players (2 players scored 8 goals in totals). Therefore they could play any type of game which gave them the ability to be strong in different area and adapt playing style to specific team. You cannot choose your enemy but you can choose your equipment and tactics. Team always playing the same will have less success. They are professionals they do what it needs to be done in order to win - it's not champagne football - participating is nice - but everybody can do that - while wining - well there is only one Trophy. :P

Prepare for the essay!

I disagree our defence was great. You say too many soft goals but there was only one. The lapse of concentration by Stones when Mandzukic scored in extra time to win the game for Croatia. The other goals could not be helped and should be credited to the opposition. Also, France have conceded WAY more goals than England so... :P

Also our attack was one player. Kane. Despite not scoring in his last 3 games due to carrying an injury, he still won the Golden Boot by 2 goals and with a total of 6 by the end of the first knockout stage.

For the record, I'm talking about our first team defence and not the reserves that played against Belgium twice. The majority of the players had yet to win a trophy even in their clubs so it was always highly unlikely that their first trophy would be the World Cup. We had players who came to Euro 2016 with their friends to watch from the stands and 2 years later they're taking England to the semi-finals. The likes of Maguire (who won the most aerial duels out of any player in the tournament) and Pickford (perhaps the second best keeper of the tournament) made our defense solid. Meanwhile, France have a Real Madrid and Barca centre-back partnership. It's obvious the French team is stacked and deserved this World Cup.

But, I was talking about how England's domination is about to emerge. We've seen teams like Spain and Germany who dominated World Cups and then flop the next one to not even get out the group. France may do the same. :P

Anyway, my original point was that it is no surprise to me that England got to the semi-finals. I knew they would surpass expectations because they played their youngest squad. And like I've already mentioned, England won the U17 and U21 World Cup so it won't be long until England's golden generation comes through.

In the pool game Kane scored against easy countries, he might have unfortunately been injured later against stronger defence so who knows.

You have faith in your team and that's what count.

As for Germany, most of their key experienced players left right after the world cup, and further 2 years after. Without experienced players to help the newbies you can't expect outstanding results.

Team work was impressive in the EN squad,  with more experience they will do great.
