Increase Punishments for Rule-Breaking

Recommended Posts

Do you want less rule-breaking? Then increase the punishments handed out for rule-breaking. What's the point for having soft punishments for rule-breakers who are ruining the game?

If there are harsh punishments ---> Everyone will be too scared to break the rules ---> No rules broken.

It's that simple.

Now, you need like a ten minute video of the moment someone was breaking the rules and then they get no ban at all or at most a month ban for something... how about a permanent ban for hacking other people account? how about a permanent ban for writing sexually explicit/discriminating content on chat? how about a permanent ban for multing?

Then no one would break the rules and we have a better game.

And don't tell me getting framed as an excuse to go against this topic. If you believe framing actually works, then you must be less than 10 years old. People only get banned if there is evidence to go against them (sadly, way too much evidence is needed for this game), therefore it is impossible to get framed for doing something.

Unless of course someone hacks your account and does bad things with your account, but then it is your fault for telling someone else your password or making your password literally "password"

The punishment system was constantly adjusted throughout the years and the current version has proven to be the most effective and fair to all players. Banning someone forever after a single insult or offence isn't fair, since people change and sometimes one might simply break the rules because simply because they had a bad day and it just slipped out. However, if someone is constantly insulting other players over and over again, the punishment for them becomes more serious and they get longer and longer bans after every repeated violation, until they finally get blocked forever. So in a way, what you are suggesting is already being used, but in a much more reasonable manner.

Also as the Chat Admin said:

We monitor the situation on the chat closely... there is a number of players who have been banned for 6 months, even more than once. That didn't change their attitude one bit. That's why we realised we can only get to a certaing point with bans but we cannot actually change someone's attitude - that's something that is needed to be done by society, parents, teachers...

Ours, as chat moderators is to make chats as good of an environment as possible for gaming, with the limited time each of us is online. In order to do that, many options are also added in the meantime, some  to prevent players from breaking the rules easily, others to insure that everyone can protect themselves from offenders (by blocking them, limit private messaging system, even removing the chat altogether).

Passwords are rarely guessed, more often someone will hack the account.

Hackers always get permanent block. That 1 month ban you see is because a moderator can't ban someone forever, so he do for 1 month and reports to tech support, and tech support then block that hacker forever.

In my opinion, moderators should take care of the pathology of the CTF Parkour silence. Almost always on such battles there are several people who destroy other people for no reason, or they will mince the base of one team. Although in the rules there is a point that prohibits this

and moderators do not do anything about it. If a much people got banned forever for such a thing, there wouldn't be pathology. But no, moderators prefer to tell "Go parkour on a private map"
