Haha gladiator isnt that hard. Around 130 players have it. Thats as rare as blaze. 

Less than 100 have gladiator lol.

So yeah, I won easy contests, but also hard contests.

I have to admit, it is very annoying to see such a thing happening. Winning an eSports tournament is way more harder than winning a Parkour contest (and I say it as someone who won 2 Masters of Parkour tournaments and Parkour Survival #2)

None of the words about winning paints are true. That's just your opinion. i wouldn't name myself a pro parkourst in your place, cause you just won the easy contests. I agree you're a real esports veteran and tournaments are hard. Some parkour contests are hard as well, such as top class and Parkour survival 2017. Since only 7 teams of 4 got sky, and only 3 teams of 4 got top class, don't use ps 2018 and mop 2017 as an argument cause they were nothing compared to the others. (and thats on 1 side due the bad organisation of those contests).

 

I completely agree with the fact that paints in containers are almost the same as special paints. But hey... don't forget this game is pay to win. Tanki devs only see the dollar icons in their eyes nowadays. 

 

Don't compare parkour to esports, cause you're placing water and fire side by side. 

And don't say i have to try esports, it's dead since starladder is gone. (really good times)

Purely cosmetic items like Paint have teh same value as art in the real world: They are worth what people are willing to pay for them.

 

No one paint was ever worth more than another.  The fact TO had some paints priced at one arbitrary value and another is just more weird TO anti-economic behavior.  The old picing scheme nevr reflected paints' tru values.

Spy has a point though, special paints don't make much of an impact anymore compared to a few years back. That's very true.

I remember seeing Silver for the first time in the game and I was blown away by the looks.

 

But now we have fancy animated paints and quite a few really good ones in containers aswell.

Not to mention Tanki Online has discovered the market of event paints that are available for a limited time period.

Apart from Traceur, Helper paint and Moonwalker; I never had special paints so I am very thankful that there's so much paints to choose from nowadays.

 

In my opinion you should just wear what you like just as clothes; with special paints it's all about how you got them. I am proud of having Traceur in my arsenal but I don't particularly like the looks of it. My mindset is a little different from those who won special paints though but I understand the complaint. Some people buy things because no one else has them, and get rid of them when they get mainstream...

Parkour stuff are without skills, you only need luck in it not like eSports you must train hard to get in a good clan that can win a big tournament and big prizes with special paints etc, you can't compare parkour with esports because parkour is literally nothing. That's why Tanki are focusing on eSports way more than parkour stuff :)

There are still more parkour contests comming  ;) Every year more because parkour is becoming increasingly popular.

This has bothered me for a while. I completely agree that there are too many similar paints now. Although it doesn't really bother me that Flame is no longer recognised, it's still a shame that paints no longer give you that status of being the owner of something rare.

I immensely agree with you Spy. While Parkour and eSports tournaments are totally different thing, Tanki Devs shouldnt make such similar paints. They have all the creativity freedom they can possibly have, as they are developers of this game after all, yet they ended up doing replicates of their old paints, not caring about destroying the value of those original paints. Silver is also one of the best looking eSports paints and yee, it was valuable and prestigious paint back in SLTV time. I wish it would stay so, but we all know what happened. 

 

People, dont go so harsh on Spy, he is only stating his opinion. He mastered the arts of both, Parkour and eSports gameplay, so dont be surprised that both of those feels easy for him. He is just really good at it. Once you learn how to do something, It gets much easier. 

 

In my own opinion, eSports demand more tactical and strategical gameplay, as well as anticipation, while Parkour on the other hand, demands more creativity. I will not deny the fact that you need skills for both, both activities are, in fact, very different.

 

Prestigious paints such as Silver, Gladiator and others should remain special, not available to everyone, have a special value they once had. Right now it is hard to say which players are thruly eSports legends, while there is so many Gladiator owners around.

 

Tanki should really think about that paint problem.

The only problem with having paints with similar textures is that it makes the paint owner feel a little less special. It doesn't change the way the paint is recognized by other players because there are so many buyable paints nowadays so nobody knows that a paint is special by just seeing it, he needs to be familiar with it and know where it came from, in which case he won't be fooled by similar textures anyway.

 

It is just sad that there are so many non-special paints with very unique textures that people don't look special when wearing a special paint, not to mention that some special paints get added to containers so they're not special anymore :/

Don't forget , limited edition paints like Moonwalker and many others have lost their importance after they were added into containers. Though I was not in Tanki at the time of release of those paints , I feel bad for all those who spent money on not so good-looking however paints which were supposed to be never available for new players.

But in this case we have the both sides balanced so we can not blame E-sports or Parkour being easy or Hard

Both have their difficultie's 

 

And for @Lankbouv E-sports is easy , while for @SwiftSmoky Parkour is easy 

So just dont please compare two differnt things
