Mini chat moderator with no such a lot of requirements just to help? Like now minimum rank is captain that can be warramt officer 4. Also it can be easily obtained before applying for a real chat moderator. See how the mini chat mod works if he works great then they can be accepted :D

We thought of similar idea some time ago, to get players more involved in the process of helping and assisting moderators but since we cannot administratively organize it at the moment, for now it has to be declined. 
 
 
However, what you can do is help other players on the chat and the forum with their queries and issues; if you're not sure about their questions, you can forward them towards Wiki and Help for any info related to the game; if you write well you can offer your assistance in making guides and articles on the forum or you can simply lend a hand to anyone who's asking for any assistance... We could definitely use you help! :)

... since chat moderators don't have the job of moderating chat battles (in some very rare cases it still is possible that you may get banned in battle chat...But rare...

Chat moderators DO ban for chat violation in battles, when they come across them but as you said, it's rare since they are busy on chat channels + there are bunch of battles each day for different ranks, both random and PRO and some of them last for more than 12 hours. Following that logic, more than hundred moderators would be needed to sit in every battle and watch its chat all day, round the clock, which is impossible to organize. That's why we started teaching players to use in-game options to protect themselves from players who annoy them, or to disable the chat completely before going to battle and play in peace.

This is a misconception. No helpers or admins outside of the chat moderation team have any power in battles. In chat myself, Hate and all other helpers are just like normal players - the most we can do is add you to our personal chat blacklist.

There are already players like me that step in a "argument" in the chat and stop it, either by repeatedly telling them to stop, or waiting for a moderator to come and take care of it... Either way, I wish those kind of people would get some kind of recognition for the work that they do to help everyone in the [solar system] [chat] learn the rules and learn what they break.....

 

Anyway that's just my general opinion...

I agree with this, there are plenty of players that do help out a lot and contribute to the community, but I'd like to think some of them just enjoy helping the chats as as they are - a normal player that gets noticed by other players themselves. I can tell players that help out as a "Wanna-be-mod" do get noticed by the Helpers of the game, and some normal players that take them into account. 

 

Getting special icons, powers I think would be too much to ask for, some players carry huge karma (that they probably regret). And some might only want to get this Icon beside their name to show it off. Being a Wanna-be-mod as a normal player, slowly getting a lot of players to know you, and getting them to trust you is the way to go in my opinion, for example I know a player in the community, that saw "Helpers of the year 2017" when he saw that he contacted me via PM, and he wanted what those few players had worked for over the few years of helping Tanki, he now also helps the chat as a normal player, and tells me he is there for the "Rewards" players got out of it. This is what I'm scared of most players would want when they get that icon beside their name, or a wiki page containing their nickname, it kills me when players do it just for the "Rewards" and once they get it, they'd be out and not continue to help again. I mean you understand how some players can be over a Gold box containing 1,000 crystals... :blink:

We are very much aware and we do appreciate everyone who steps in and help us, they all know who they are and they all know we're grateful to them ;)

 

And believe me, we'd want to make it more official and beneficial for both sides but as I said, it's not possible at the time being. And what @DRAKO523 says, some players would probably want to get some benefit out of it so for now let's keep it the way it is - at least those that are out there and doing their best for their fellow players in the chat, on the forum, in Help site and everywhere else know full well they are appreciated, we're making sure of it! Such selflessness will get rewarded, one way or the other.
