Implemented indirectly. People who play a lot are able to complete the highest tiers of challenges, getting some epic rewards. In addition to that, there will most likely be a bunch of Tankoins at the end of challenges now, thus justifying the "special currency" part.

If you like Tanki enough to play it for fifteen hours in one sitting, why not spend some money so you don't exhaust your supplies? I can barely manage two hours with frequent breaks, you have a problem my guy.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the idea that led to devs releasing the battle ruining system (BRS) otherwise known infamously as "challenges".

Doubt it. The idea just got completed by coincidence, since challenges are quite far from the actual suggestion (although the effect is pretty much the same).
