And that's the problem, the only point of afterburn is to do extra damage. Not only does freeze do more damage than firebird, it also has almost twice the ammo and a freezing effect. The small bonus damage over time is basically the "useless" m2 alt for freeze.

And with freezing you can avoid damage. Afterburn is not really measurable and is dependent on the situation, so is the Freezing.

There is 2 way to nerf a turrets. You nerf the turret directly or you buff the others. WE can see now less complaint about Magnum :), for the moment.

There is few freez turret in the game, so it means that the turret is weak and/or less appealing. Make it stronger to increase its use, simple.

 

Freeze is a very annoying turret because once you got caught you can't move and you just wait and see a slow death coming.

But it is similar to firebird, because once it caught you, even if you can move you will still die slowly. the worse thing is that they burn you, they don't stay so see you die, they just leaving you all red and they start grilling another tank.

They will realize that Freeze was buffed too much and will nerf it soon. A good example was Shaft's arcade shot - it was a fixed number for damage at ANY range (M2 stat was 547), and add that with DD, Shaft was able to one-shot light hulls and non-MU'd medium hulls. Fun times, but they nerfed once they saw scope mode was no longer necessary. Enjoy Freeze while you can.

 

Back then, I got Isida back then for the sole purpose of it's vampirism. A week before my final step of making it M4, they announced the self-healing part of Isida will be reduced from 50% down to 10%. But even two weeks later they removed it altogether. Thanks, Tanki.

 

And so the cycle continues... The Freeze nerf will come soon enough.

I have this feeling too that they will nerf freeze soon but I hope they won't because it is kind of fun to play with it now. Brings back good memories back in 2012 when freeze did this amount of damage.

 

Let's be honest, isida self-healing was terrible and unfair. There is no doubt they had to remove it.

They could have increased/prolonged the Freeze effect and only add a little bit more damage. The damage increase makes it too easy, especially with DD.

at the rate they buff and nerf stuff... it's only a matter of luck to happen to have the correct stuff at the right time.

I never thought Isidas self healing was unfair.. the issue was that an Isida on DD healed also itself twice as fast and therefore took no damage at all when facing a non-drugged tank.

And for the isida trains the bigger issue is that an Isida can heal an Isida.. and not the taking out of fire and freeze.

 

but whatever.. lets see how it turns out after 2 weeks, when we are accommodated to what they gave us.
