Holy Tank-Cicles Batman!  I just pulled my M2 Freeze out of mothballs in an alt account.  Damn!  It used to be fun to disable opponents by sneaking up behind them and watch them try to escape the freezing, but now there is no need for stealth....just run up to them and as you fire and they are dead before you can even see them slow down.  It's so much faster at killing than Firebird...it's like a massive one shot turret.  It kills so quickly it almost never runs out of freeze-sauce either.  And it seems to damage at a much farther distance than Firebird.  Every game I played I came in #1..and a couple of battles I was only in for less than half...and still got first place!  I even managed to turn a couple of losing teams into winning teams.  OP now stands for Outrageously Powerful when talking about the new beast Freeze.

Wasn't Isida once ment to be a medic?

First the self-healing was taken, and now the burn/freeze cure. With each update it's turned more and more into a damage dealer.. and the interchangeability of Fire, Freeze and Isida becomes easier and easier.

Turret homogeneity is becoming a problem. Fire, Freeze, and Isida seem to be slowly morphing into a single turret, with their special effects (burn, slow, heal) available as Alterations.

 

We’ve already seen this happen with Smoky and Thunder, which can already be mostly swapped out using their alterations.

I'll open a new trow away account with Freeze

 

This is actually an effective way to play the game. Create an account for every turret, the. Just play whichever one just got buffed.

 

You won’t rank quickly, but hey, ranking up really isn’t a good idea in this game anyway.


I went trying to hunt Freeze a couple times last night, but can't get past that "an error occurred" "please reenter the game" that keeps popping up. Been that way ever since the MM/drone update. So annoying. I don't know if Freeze IS OP yet.

 

My list of targets usually is
1.Isida (just because they keep the attack continuuing)
2.Magnum because it is OP and a range/up close turret.
Shaft if I can get close enough to flank it but usually not
And will now be probably 3.Freeze because once in your grill with Isida its game over.,Twins, Hammer. in that order if Freeze is OP.

 

Any tank with a drone is a trophy kill.

The only hull that might be able to counter Hunter is Dictator - and - it would have to be already at 100%.

 

No-one else could use a supply as Hunter cancels existing supplies and re-sets their cooldowns as well.

 

(If supplies are off in Pro-battles does that turn off OD as well? Else Dictator/Hunter at huge disadvantage in Pro-battles)


Guess I should be happy to drive Hunter, but seriously to make the most of it, I have to insert myself into "problem" areas instead of just freewheeling and doing what I like to do. Or become a lure. Lol, I'm going to be a target when they come in, maybe more so than Isida. Just saying not a fan of this stuff. Regular overdrive benefited all equally.

Yep, I encountered it last night. So I wasn't hallucinating. See my above post about hornet freeze. Freeze just moved up my list to #2 behind Isida. I hope that was a fully MU'd M3 Freeze because if it wasn't last night, ('just' an M2 like yours) it's over the top. It didn't even have DD on. Seriously. I was dead in 3 seconds. If I see one, I'm going to lock in on it even if it means some rail is about to vapourize me.

I tandem'd with another Hunter Vulcan once, it's like we both knew what we were going to do, one flush, the other pummel it when it came out of cover. then the other one laid in. Never did "invite" to be friend once battle was over and didn't get the name. It was a lot of fun, especially since I'm almost fully MU'd Vulcan. along with a fully MU'd Hunter. Wasp freeze won't be able to counter 2 mobile Vulcans covering each other. Or even other freeze. Just have to keep distance, easy enough on the bigger maps. But having a wing man is fun. And the mobility is what made it fun.

 

What isn't fun right now is that every and I mean every battle I'm in ends with "reenter game" an error occurred.

 

Seriously.


Apart from teaming up with isidia teaming up with shaft is kinda fun. I like to play massacre. park up next to a shaft and spot for them. I pick out the targets and shaft finishes them off. Not goof for my score but really good for the team.

 

 

I agree about SB. DD cancels DA and vice versa but SB means you go faster always. :)

 

I use Wasp Vulcan but now at MajGen light hulls get swatted to fast to often as I rank up. Plus the constant tip overs gets under your skin some days no matter how Zen you try to be about it. (It is hard to understand why TO built one hull that tips over to very much compared to all other 6.)

 

I was thinking about a Hunter 2nd hull eventually. Both there the non-drift drivers so I figure the techniques I use now will transfer best to Hunter.

 

But I cannot imagine being the immobile heavy hull vulcan type. DRiving and meuver is too much part of the fun for me.


Nothing immobile about my Titan/Vulcan. Once you've got used to turning the tank and the turret at the same time you can keep up with Hornet/rail up close. Titan has the most power of any hull so is really good for pushing people around and pinning them against a wall while they try frantically to remember which keys turn the turret :D

 

It also has to be really demoralizing to see me lumber up on DA take the flag and then hit SB and still lumber away but a bit faster!

 

I've lost count of the number of thunders that killed themselves as I charge right up to them. And stopping a flag catcher dead while the rest of the team pummels them is rather satisfying too.

I get it.  My account with Hunter has Freeze & Vulcan - so works for 1/2 the turrets.  But Vulcan really likes to keep the distance so would be an issue to use the OD.

 

Heading toward Cap in Assault with flag carrier might be useful - split defenders attacks - cuz - if they dont kill the Hunter they will be left naked.

Right. Every time they find a certain equipment are not selling good they do something called "re-balancing" to boot the sale. 

 

 

Just tested Freeze in three DM battles.

 

I wouldn't say it's OP. Definitely a lot more powerful than before, since I can now quite easily get first place with it, while before if I tried it, I struggled to even get in the top half of the leaderboard. But its power is comparable to that of Magnum, Twins, Smoky or Hammer with alts. I'd say that it just went from being an unplayable, completely underpowered turret, into the top-5 most powerful turrets. Which is OK, as far as game balance goes.

Look, the mod proved it.

That works too, nothing more satisfying that working with a teammate that works a strategy. If I have an Isida with me going for the flag simple things come into play, leave the drops for them (common sense) once at the flag start strafing and get as many as agitated as you can, keep moving and hopefully the Isida grabs the flag and gets out of town, then just try to figure out who is the biggest threat to him/her, plant your tank like a roadblock and hope they get away. It;s sort of the opposite of letting Isida heal you all the way back to base, but really a lot of players will realize you have to take out the Isa first then get the flag bearer. Too many time you watch the flag disappear because it's constantly being healed. I just turn my tank into cannonfodder/ roadblock  once I am there. And for some reason Vulcan gets them all worked up. Probably because of the pretty visible tracers.  Or will just try to cover the Isa on the way back and hope it heals me driving backwards while I am a moving bufferzone firing in reverse. Why my K/D ratio really blows tho lol. I like to see other teammates do the same for team (like your strategy). It's capture the flag, a lot of people play it like DM.

 

BTW I am going to start upgrading my Titan. I like the weight for Wave, in pro battles with the zero gravity mode thing.

My smokey and Hunter work decent there too.

Not sure what you think I proved there, but what I said in that post is mostly my own opinion based on personal (and very limited) experience. I don't think Freeze has become extremely OP, but some people did demonstrate that after the update they could get dozens of kills and a massive K/D using freeze. But then again, many other people did the same with other turrets, so nothing is proven yet.

Yep, that would work, do a stealth speed approach (well as stealthy as you can be with that flag flying over your flag bearer's head) with the flag bearer and kind of get in there quick and hit the O/D. Hit the trigger to spool up just before O/D. Or just not even be with the flag bearer and try to time their advance on the base by coming in the back door. We'll see how it goes. I might enjoy being the Hull that deflates everyone. Surely they will nerf it tho. Just send out a Wave of M4 Hunters with Magnum, Rail, Shaft, Hammer Twins etc oh yeah and ISA and FREEZE.......

Nothing immobile about my Titan/Vulcan. Once you've got used to turning the tank and the turret at the same time you can keep up with Hornet/rail up close. I use Titan with Smoky and Striker and I agree it is nimble enough esp on SB. I'll keep that in mind when it comes time to buy a 2nd hull for my Vulcan. But ATM this account has been designated my Drone Tester so no new hull for a good while.

 

Oh yes, a "healing turret" that does not stop burning and freezing.  Sounds like an unhelpful doctor.

Seem to me a doctor that can keep you alive until the fever breaks is extremely helpful.

 

Plenty of games have a primary healer type with some healing roles assigned to secondary types. TO is doing nothing unusual here.

 

Adapt or die, up to you.

          Any update or attempt to fix / restore the huge rip off TO did to its customers at the latest update? Any  +100 exceeding gifts removed from players profiles. This means billions of crystals and real money simply erased. The update is not only abusive, but also leaving the players useless, as anyone can erase old gifts with only 20k crys by sending 100 badges at someone's garage. Deleting the last 100 gifts won't bring old back ones to the profiles pages. Why is this a RIP OFF? Because abusive removal, because also TO removed gifts from players profiles (paid services already) to substitute with the batteries stats (paid services) = TO is selling the same hosting space twice. TO just did a recycle of it. Dropped our paid money, emptied space and now start over to take cash. Is it fair and common-sense?!

          Ponomareva at Alternativa Games told me they believe they can find a solution. I am still waiting for this solution. In the meanwhile, I stopped my purchases for TO and this means 400 to 700 Euro each month. I am deeply disappointed, TO shows no respect for its customers. 

          I want my +600 erased Teddy Bears, back at my profile page.

I need a reply.

This is TERRIBLE!  How can they just erase something like this?...and no real purpose because it is just can't be much bandwidth.  This borders on being cruel and is certainly thoughtless and inconsiderate.  I can see limiting the number of Friends but not to take away something that someone paid to give you!  They won't let us purge unused garbage from our own garages, but they remove gifts with personal messages...this is like burning someones scrapbook.  Callus jerks.  I hope they make this right for you and all the other people that have many gifts.

why not nerf magnum 

They haven't sold enough MUs for the newly purchased Magnum modules.  I would guess they still have a two or three month window to keep selling modules and MUs for the modules at a very fast rate.

I just saw a Freeze wipe out not only me, but 2 titans with damage protec on in like the span of 5 seconds. He wasn't even close to the Titans. One of the kills was less than a second. 3 kills in 5 seconds.

 

We won but seriously, I went hunting that thing, no other turret mattered. He/she was DD tho.

When I was allowed to play Massacre I would just charge, slowly, up the middle and die repeatedly. After a while I would get a few follow me and if  I got to the flag would peel off and try to get into the base. That really riles the other team leaving one of the tankers behind me to cap and run.

 

I played 4 matches in a row with the same tactic and we were unbeatable :D

I agree.  They seem to have lowered Isida scoring through healing - by a LOT.  It's terrible. 

 

No point wasting my energy healing - might as well try to kill tanks. Well -except for Freeze - lose to those EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Why in hell would they lower the amount of score for Isida healing?  It's function is to HEAL. Why turn it into an attack turret?  These devs just do not think...if it is not cash they don't bother to consider.  We already have Firebird and now the beast Freeze...why make Isida an attack turret?  It is already annoying when you have an isida that doesn't pay attention to its team for healing and just wants to kill.  Now that will even be worse.  If anything the dummy devs should buff the scoring for actual healing of your teammates.
