Allow the buying of M0-M2 modifications of garage items we don't have even when the M3 is unlocked

Recommended Posts

Situation: For a long time, once you unlock a higher Modification level from ranking up, the previous modification level becomes unbuyable

General Point: Not everyone wants to blow a quarter of a million crystals on a piece of equipment they have never tried before. Most work around this problem by making a new account and seeing how the M0 performs, but this isn't perfectly accurate.

Specific Example: I am having significant trouble with magnums one-shotting my hornet as soon as they spawn. If I bought the M1 griffin module for a reasonable 30k crystals I could prevent this, but instead, I have to buy the M3 modification for the currently unaffordable 250k crystals or not at.

Solution: allow players to pick what Modification of equipment they want, though maybe mentioning to them that it is cheaper, in the long run, to just buy the highest modification available..

Completed

Since this has been an issue to many parkour clubs as well as parkourists...I hope we get to see this implemented.

Don't you think it can helps in parkour? i mean many parkouristes feel bad when they lost their M0 wasp after the release of skins.

Definitely. I was one of those who had an M1 as well as M2 fully MU only for Parkour but since I had the XTs, after the XTs changed into skins...sadly I lost my parkour Hulls. So that is indeed a big problem and will surely forward it to the developers.

My idea is when you bought for exemple an M1 Wasp, and get the M3 upgrade, you can still equip both whenever you want. It should be an option where you can choose with what upgrade you want to play with.

Statics for the idea changed. To be honest, this makes sense.  Another alternative way of doing things is that, you get the opportunity to save crystals by buying M3 directly, but you can also buy M1/M2 if you want, for whatever reason(s) and if you do buy a lower modification, then it's better for devs cos you waste your crystals.

I'm sure @Maf will also celebrate when this becomes a reality.  He was well known for his M0 Isida as well as M0 Mammoth.

No, for exemple if you're Marshal, and you have an M0 viking, you can bought M3 directly, you don't have to bought M1 and M2. But still, if you want to bought M2 you can do it whenever you want.

This was posted a few times before and we declined it, since we don't accept ideas for reverting updates. However, I feel like this particular change would be fine for the game's economy. After all it does make sense - you get the opportunity to save crystals by buying M3 directly, but you can also buy M1/M2 if you want, for whatever reason. And if you do buy a lower modification, then it's better for devs because you spend more crystals and will be more likely to buy them with money.

It would help me a lot because I am a Brigadier and I have M0 Hunter and Viking with full MU. If this would get implemented, I would get M1 for free and could slowly MU it to M2.

Good point there. It is cheaper to buy an M3 modification module than buying an M0, M1 or M2, then upgrade previous modifications which is a waste of crystals.

but the update isn't out yet is it?

I'm taking about the old update which made it so that you have to buy all modifications to get Mk7 even if you already have Mk7 unlocked.
I think it was the big modifications update from just over a year ago, actually.
