So Isida has been slightly nerfed and Freeze has been heavily buffed. What will the new game look like? Which turrets get better and which if any get worse. Do you think that Freeze is in a good place now or was the buff too much?

I am thinking that this has actually made fire better as well as any other turrets that always face protection. If people are wearing Freeze Prot, that will be one slot that cannot be used against the normal Thunder, Rail, Twins, or Fire. I think those turrets might do better, especially Fire now that the Isida nerf took place.

I am glad Freeze was buffed, though 900-1000 damage is a ton compared to the other turrets

The buff was needed but they overdid it, it's incredibly powerful. I think they will nerf Freeze after players have invested crystals in both Freeze and protection paints against it though.

But I was thinking the same thing about Magnum for a long time and they haven't touched it in 1,5 years.

Protection paints are the answer. Time to buy Freeze protection.

Isida could've been nerfed much more. Like a decrease in damage of 60%. It is still the best turret to farm XP by far.

Genuinely freeze is not OP. If Juggernut was available to buy in the shop for around $400 and be able to join any battle - that is what I would call OP because double railgun + striker speaks for itself, it would be dominating battles, knowing it would be OP. Freeze is enjoyable to play with now, before the rebalance I wouldn't even consider buying it.

As a Freeze m2.10 owner I think the Firebird is still a force worth reckoning with.

Freeze is still weaker than it was quite some time ago, and I think it is fairly balanced right now. Firebird will always kill the freeze in a 1 v 1 simply because burning  > freezing effect.

I'm glad Isida has finally been nerfed but this is the most minor nerf ever. Honestly, they need to nerf Isida more. *coming from an isida player*

I think TO has to make close combat weapons more effective at long-range, while making it so that it isn't OP at short range.

The thing about balancing is that it works best when you make small changes and can then sit back and observe how those changes affect the gameplay. I actually think the Isida change was a good first step.

As for those who say that freeze buff was not too much, how do you explain the like 1000 damage compared to 800 give or take for fire. I use both, and understand the afterburn, but freeze does so much more damage. I have actually enjoyed playing with it lately and will use it until ppl start getting protections for it.

All in all tho, if it is just a first step to rebalance, it was a good step

They aren't trying to "balance" anything.  They are trying to sell "Freeze, the Newly Improved OP Turret" and it's subsequent MUs along with a tonnage of Freeze Modules and their MUs.  In two or three months there will be another turret buff...for "balance".  What a crock.

Will all the Freebie players jump on the new OP Freeze or even buy Freeze Protection?  Some, maybe even quite a few, but the real money buyers will be buying like mad and pay to MU everything to the max almost immediately.

Buff, Nerf, Buff, Nerf all in the name of "balance"....the Big Lie.  If they really wanted "balance" they would do exactly as you say and make small changes, see how they work and do more fine tuning.  With the new single protection modules I expect to see a lot more tall-tale-marketing like this.

A very interesting point that I wouldn't have thought of myself.  All the new Freeze modules will have to displace something, right?

Incidentally, a 30% buff on damage is obviously way too much.  I have a 10/10 M2 Viking and if an M2 Freeze barely touches me with DD, I'm done for...like half a second or even less...I've always been able to go head to head with a Firebird and usually win, but I'm helpless against Freeze.  So, yeah, way too much of a buff.

60%?  :o  Are you nuts?

Each and every turret needs to be combat-effective - this is not a role-playing game.  No such thing as a "dedicated healer".

Plus... it seems they have reduced the score awarded to healing - I have m3 16/20 and... it's not generating the same score it used to even though I heal a lot.

Do you really think that Isida needs a bigger nerf? Freeze now deals as much damage as Isida and whilst Freeze can shoot constantly for astonishing 7 seconds, Isida and Firebird can do the same only for 5 seconds. Even more, Freeze players often use the OP circling tactic. Freeze M0 is now much more powerful than Firebird M1. It can inflict 1,5* (!!!) more damage before energy runs out (not counting afterburn).

Shortly after the 2016 re-balance Freeze got buffed, and for good reason, since it was really underpowered before. They went too far and for a few days everyone was using Freeze. Then it got nerfed and became useless again.

I predict the same thing will happen this time.

Freeze is definitely a tad too powerful, Isida could've had a slight damage decrease. I would definitely like to see just a small increase in Railgun's damage, and Striker's missiles to be sped up.

Yes yes man this poor guns needs a buff striket's missiles and Vulcan overall DMG and railgun min dmg

I have no idea what you mean, I always reach the top charts with minimal effort.

Sit back in the base and heal everyone; it's overpowered.. extremely overpowered. The damage capability is pure luxury if you ask me.

Agree with the score rewards by healing, I don't get as much points either as before the new fund distribution.

Nice that you bring up on the dedicated healer, this is exactly what I would like to see. I believe the nanobot alt that I use could be even more functional without any damage capabilities and more healing. I'd like to see more distinguishment between Isida and the other turrets. I know that you and many others will heavily disagree though.

I've seen just as many Isidas now as before Freeze got buffed. I actually think it is in a good place. It has to be able to deal damage, so taking that part away would be too much
