That 2 minute solution (temporary) is only good if you usually enter battles in less than 2 minutes, indicating that something may have went wrong with you waiting process, but depending on the time you play we may need more time for the process to complete.

 

BR/ES players have said that they wait 15 , 20 or more minutes to join a battle, I don't think that's because of the bug, I think it's because there are fewer players to satisfy the process.

 

Maybe there should be a way to tell how many players are trying to enter a similar battle (mode, ranks...)

Juggernaut could affect other modes because there are fewer and fewer players. Yesterday was 25k.

 

I think they should remove Assault mode.

TO explained the 20 minute waits are due to the bug.  TO explained that exiting the queue and re-entering is a workaround to use for now ... but you insist this explanation is wrong. The people who manage the game software don't know how the software operates. YOU know. 

 

What a hoot.  Just quit the damn game if you hate it so much and spare us.

 

 

They said that it was being changed for locations for scoring on , still not impressed with this battle it seems most of the battles are one sided . but if they made it like Rugby and be able to pass the flag also allowing other team to be able to score . sort of like flag and rugby mixed into the same battle , but having more flags to score with . might be more of a challenge / fun game in one.. just an idea ..

 
I agree ASL mode has some terrible maps. Sometimes the games are just recreations of the Somme and you're the Brits. Massacre lives up to its name in ASL mode.
 
OTOH I cannot count the number of games that have ended 100-95. At times it produces some of the closest game of every mode.So while it is not my favorite mode I will play it. If the game is a loser I can always leave.

That's not what I said, read carefully.

 

20 minutes in EU servers is likely the bug, but depending on the hours you play you can see more than 2 minutes wait before joining.

 

Some battle modes also have a longer wait, so the 2 minute recommendation is not a perfect solution, the only correct solution will be the fix to the bug.

I’m a fan of ASL, but I agree that its current form is too imbalanced in favor of blue team. I get what happened. When launched for the holiday and later for the Mode, it highly favored red, but they overcorrected, and now blue nearly always wins.

 

It’s not a problem of crystals now that the winner/loser crystal distribution is based on player performance and not team performance. But it remains a problem of player interest. Why play a battle in mode when we know all how it will end?

 

IMO the fix is subtle and not easy. Again IMO, the simply need to walk back some of the recent changes to scoring and flag and point locations, but do so gradually until a balance is attained. It will never be perfect, but you’ll know it good enough when players stop complaining about how one sided ASL is.

Yes perhaps even flag caps score different points on different maps. Some outside the box thinking though on some maps... maybe a middle cap point on Massacre?  Well whatevr.  ASL can be tightened up a good bit but it will probably not be my favorite. Well neither is TDM but good games can be had on it too.

ASL really depends on the map of which team is favored.  Large maps like Serpuhov, Highways, and Massacre are too big for attackers to win most of the time.  Making caps worth more pts or moving flags closer to defenders' base or adding more flags on those maps would help.

 

Red Alert, Bridges, Silence, Wolfenstein, Aleksandrovsk all are pretty balanced and can be won from either side with a good team.

 

ASL is always the longest wait for a game to start for me.  Likely because of low interest.

Irony for me is I often land in ASL battles by pressing Quick Battle button. Luck of the draw I guess.

why use random button why not use the battle buttons that are a signed to that battle such as TDM or CP . its more faster and easier knowing its that type of battle your looking for and not some thing your not good in..

Thing is that the battle buttons signed for different modes means you want to got to that specific battle, therefore it takes longer for the MM to put you through it. Where as the Quick Battle button just puts you in a random battle, so in theory, it should be able to put you in a battle much faster.

 

I honestly don't know what I'm talking about anymore :ph34r:

More lame excuses, more gimmicks to hide the problems and less players to play the game. The slide continues.....

There was a new update, check the patch notes. Let's see it if helps.

Unless I have a mode-specific mission, I always use the Quick Battle button. I always get into a battle with only a few seconds wait time, and it’s more fun hopping from mode to mode very quickly using the Continue button. The mode-specific buttons for me always take longer and I despise waiting.
