What to do after Legend?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Legend - the only reason why i, and many of you guys, are still playing the game. We just try to grind our way to legend for the satisfaction.

But what to do after beating the game? Possibilities?

1. Quit Game. Live Life.

2. Keep Playing.

3. Start Alternate Account Grind.

4. Become Mult.

5. Be one of those chat-only players, who login just to chat.

Please discuss, many of your opinions will influence my decision.

To reach Legend 2.

In all seriousness, I play the game because I enjoy playing the game and winning. I don't even think about reaching Legend. I'll probably get bored before I reach legend anyway.

and many of you guys,

No it's just you and a few other grinder noobs like you, bored to death, and don't even enjoy the game. No wonder why you are angry all the time. It's not the updates. it's not the druggers. It's because you are wasting hundreds of hours of your time in boredom.

There are thousands of active legends in this game, and all of them are still playing despite having the highest rank. For many the goal is to get a full garage and become the most powerful player on the battlefield. For some it's the community and things like eSports that keep them in the game.

For me a full garage is a very minor goal (which I pretty much achieved, for the most part). Despite basically going from Recruit to Legend over 3 times now (I have way over 4.2 million EXP on all accounts combined), I still enjoy the gameplay and find it fun. Besides, I'm pretty good at the game, so it actually feels good when I land a crazy Magnum shot and get a triple kill across the whole map, or kill someone while mid-flip on Wasp Hammer, or manage to do some insane manoeuvre, outplaying the enemies and escaping with the flag.

Also new updates definitely keep me in the game. If it wasn't for new things like overdrives, new game modes, new turrets, etc., I would have stopped playing a long time ago.

Continue with my mission. Chill in parkour

I grind because I finish what I start. Clearly a noob sergeant major like you wouldn't know what you are talking about... Come back and call me a noob once you started actually playing this game, noob.... Everyone wastes hundreds of hours playing tanki, buyer or not.

You clearly do not understand my situation.

I don't care about druggers or what not, only a noob sergeant major like you would... I drug hard every battle, pretty much everytime I spot an enemy without drugs on. I don't mind the updates that much either, although I would prefer the game just revert updates to gain a larger player base.

I'm kindly asking on your own take on what to do as a legend, but you are clearly the salty one here. Noob.

Play minesweeper

Wth is that XD

-Fine. Go waste hundreds of hours of your life and be all frustrated. Just don't act it out making countless threads whining.

Clearly a noob sergeant major like you wouldn't know what you are talking about...

Come back and call me a noob once you started actually playing this game, noob....The thing is, I actually play the game. You're working all the time grinding, ranking up, and farming crystals while I'm enjoying crushing everyone else. Actually play the game before posting idiotic opinions. Noob. Everyone wastes hundreds of hours playing tanki, buyer or not.

All you're doing is hurting your cause. You're not supporting the devs by buying, you're not making good ideas, you're not contributing to discussions besides whining and making the forum a worse place. Without you, the player base might actually be a bit bigger. Not by much, but a bit bigger.

This game's better in Legend rank battles IMO. Just more dynamic, faster paced battles where the % of good players in battles is more likely to be higher.

A good thing with MM is it seems to be putting the better non-legends in my battles, some very good non-legends in this game now. There are Gismos, Commanders & Marshals(etc) that are much better than some Legends.

There are totally noob legends of course and some battles things just don't go as well as other battles. But on average max-rank legend battles have more players that know what they're doing in them with good garages and supplies to back them up.

Getting to Legend is a nice personal achievement but means sod all in my book. Seen plenty of Legends that can't cut it to be able to safely say that being a top rank doesn't mean you hit the endgame.

Yes, it's just a game and it's easy to say “who actually gives a damn?”, but MMO games are partly about having fun with personal challenges and goals, proving you are a worthy legend to yourself is one of them.

If you want to know you're a great player of this game, then you can aim to be pretty damn great every time you fight a Legend battle in a variety of modes or formats, using a variety of equipment. Such as...

  • All Pro maps with no supplies. Not just smashing up teams with an obvious mult or noob in them. I mean beating funtioning teams or actual organized teams of legend clanners(that aren't just mult-using cheater clans), doing this in a team of randoms is not easy.
  • Dominating matchmade battles in any team mode, especially against groups.
  • Sniper maps where almost everyone is using long ranger turrets, finish top as a sniper yourself, always.
  • DM legend drug wars. topping DM battles is tough enough at any time, but get in these battles in double funds, WAR or Crazy Weekends when all the old-timers and whales are back on their mains, try to constantly finish top 3 on various maps, not easy.
  • Beating the usual DM teamers as a solo player.
  • Constantly getting 2+ D/L in TDM battles as the top player, on every map.
  • XpBp flag battles, always winning. See if you can constantly win without support of clan or friend XpBp'ers.
  • XpBp Poly CP in a battle of honest legends. Not some of the lame mult-using noobs that tend to fester in rigged High fund battles. Get a pure battle like this where everyone's trying, then make the difference, constantly.
  • 1vs1 XpBp or multi-equipment Dueling, basically being able to beat everyone in a duel.

There's other stuff to do, like esports, youtuber, parkour or simply try to master all turrets, especially the harder to grasp ones like Striker.

I guess the TL:DR version of what I'm saying is hitting legend is not the endgame.

You don't have to be such a bick about things. just go away if you are not willing to offer any advice? And that line that says that you actually play the game? Lies, you probably only have like 10k EXP.

I like exactly where I am - the lowest rank to obtain M3 kits and can play from Captain to Legend.

Once you reach legend, just parkour and drop gold boxes.

I do that now. :)

If I reached legend, I would try to buy all M3 hulls except Wasp and Dictator, then buy M3 Shaft, Rico, Freeze, Isida, Twins, Firebird, Thunder (and immediately buy no splash alt to troll ramming enemies) and then I would finally buy Prodigi!

Hmm, there's so many things you can do...

  1. Join eSports
  2. Participate in contests
  3. Grind alternate accounts with goals, for example no kills, no deaths etc.
  4. Try out Tanki World Records
  5. Apply for community jobs
  6. Start a club
  7. Participate in events
  8. Start doing creative work
  9. Learn videomaking
  10. Writing guides and etc. for the community (a.k.a resourceful topics)

I'd say just honing your skills would be quite challenging. Play like a lower ranking non-buyer. Play against druggers, but don't use any yourself. Many non-buyers use their crystals for MUs and enter battle with very few supplies or none at all. That's how you hone your skills. Learn how to be an asset to your team without pressing number buttons.

Joining drug battles or joining non supply battles, either way, puts everyone on equal grounds. Join random battles, don't use any drugs and score somewhere in the middle or above, consistently,  is the real test of a good player. Then you have to learn how to survive the mental anguish and peer pressure your teammates will try to put upon you for not using supplies. That, alone, will actually help you in RL.
